We spent a couple of nights at Mercure Hotel Köln Belfortstraße and had a really pleasant stay. We got an upgrade to one of their apartments. The only disadvantage was that it's located in a building across the street from the main building where the lobby, restaurant and pool are located. The apartment itself was well equipped and seemed rather newly renovated. Also the pool, sauna and fitness area seemed brand new. Using the sauna costs an extra charge per person which might not be common in other hotels we visited. On the other hand, it probably helps to keep the sauna in good shape. The highlight of our stay was the service of the whole team and the breakfast. The breakfast buffet offered a very nice and tasty variety. All staff members were very helpful and kind dealing with our requests. Thanks! We will come back next time we visit Cologne.

I stayed in the annex hotel not main hotel booking and would have been a better experience as I had to cross the street to go to the hotel restaurant for breakfast. Really good customer service. Sauna &pool awesome. Breakfast awesome.

The room was nice and clean however, there is no fridge in the room.
The aircon was not working, when we tried to call the reception multiple times to help us fix the issue but no one pick up even though we called multiple times.

The parking lot is at the mainbuilding and we stayed in the other building which is across the street and doesn't have the reception desk.

It says there is parking provided but you still have to pay 23 euro for 24 hours. In the end they waived this for us since the aircon didn't work and they didn't fix it.

The coffee provided was nice.

The hotel is quite in the night but during the day there was some construction noice since there are some renovations going on around in the area.

The hotel is only a 15 minute walk from the main railway station and the staff are friendly. I got a room upgrade for being Accor Platinum which was appreciated.

When I checked in, however, I asked where the bar was and the receptionist laughed.

There is a bar and a restaurant but they aren't in use, they only service breakfast. Apparently this is a new concept that I should have been made aware of?

Being a solo traveller I felt very isolated as the hotel is in the middle of a residential area. Not even anywhere to sit out and enjoy the sun. I checked out one day early and booked an alternative hotel nearby civilisation.

I didn't use the leisure facilities so can't comment on those.

I wouldn't stay here again when there are better hotels for a similar price point in the city.

For me it's more of a 3 star hotel. the room is ok, nothing special but also nothing tragic. only the beds are very uncomfortable.

first time I've had such icy water in the pool. the lack of a kettle and mini bar (small fridge) in the room is irritating.

service varied. some very nice and helpful, others answered with dissatisfaction
, I feel terribly stupid that I dared to ask.
despite the fact that they are dog friendly and the location is close to the train station, I won't use them again

As soon as I arrived at the hotel, I was impressed by the warm hospitality of the staff. The room was wider and cleaner than the photos, and the bedding was soft and I was able to get a good night's sleep. The breakfast was varied and fresh, so I was satisfied every morning. Above all, the location was great, so I could walk to major tourist attractions and restaurants, which made my travel route very convenient. It was a satisfactory stay that I would like to visit again next time.

Hotel is in a quiet area driendly staff can be bizzy in the weekends. The hotel carpark outside was completly full but you can use the undergroud Carpark.
