Near the airport, good for one night stay. They also pack the breakfast for you if your flight is very early in the morning.

Not as close to the airport as advertised so a taxi was needed for about €15. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable and due to an early departure unfortunately I missed breakfast.

On that day I arrived late due to aj incident with the car. The staff was incredibly kind, helpful and the room and location, super convenient for a very early trip from the Airport. My goto airport for these kind of trips from now on.

The Hotel is located near the airport. anyway for walking it is a bit too far, so I would recommend to take a cab. Price was about 15 Euros from the airport. I found the location of the hotel to the airport to be excellent. It was about a 15 minute walk via a sidewalk trail that went up to the train station rails and then I could just go straight up to the airport. The room was very clean. Taxi from hotel to airport is €12 which is too expensive for 2 mins ride. Air conditioning in the room was not working properly. Everything else was very good.

It's a 2 star - but who cares - it's clean, 24 hour reception, hot shower, comfy bed and let me take my dog in the room. The field outside the Novotel was great to run the dog around after a long drive from Poland. The shared restaurant with the Novotel is a great idea - good food quality and selection and friendly service

Pretty much ok. A couple of smallish bugs on the wall in the room else room was fine. Bar service is a bit slow sorry to say. I think food is limited so had dinner in other places. But for a couple of nights it was ok

The rooms are nice and clean. But it lacks a lot of amenities you will get in other hotels. Comparing it with other four points hotels i have stayed in europe, even the basic facilities are not being provided. No toiletries except body,handwash, no iron , no water bottles, coffee/tea, no kettle.

Our stay was required due to vehicle breakdown while on holiday from Scotland.Arrived Friday 27June. Arranged by vehicle recovery service. Staff very helpful. Bus stop 3 mins away to Ratingen then tram to Dusseldorf.Also near airport. Checked out after 4 Nights but vehicle not ready so returned for another night. Given same room. I was looking forward to the spa, but unfortunately there was no hot water. The hotel itself is very clean, and the location and transportation options are not bad. However, the amenities are lacking. For example, I don't have pajamas, and I don't have a toothbrush or toothpaste. Only towels and body soap were provided. Good hotel, friendly, nice jacuzz and gym area. They should open the sauna earlier in the day. Rooms clean and reasonable sized, good strong shower even on the higher floors. Will stay again when we are in Ratingen. Very good connection by bus to the Düsseldorf Airport.

We stopped across the street to charge our car this morning. Instead of waiting in our car the staff of the Mercure Hotel welcomed us in their lobby. This was a very friendly and pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend to stay!

Yes, suitable for business living

Kind of far from everything that I do want to visit in Dusseldorf (about 45ish mins away) and also they gave us no complimentary coffee or even water! But otherwise it was clean and nice and the room even came with a bathtub

The hotel is very quiet, even though it is close to the airport. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, everything is a bit dated. But we felt comfortable. Breakfast was included in the hotel price and a great buffet awaited us in the morning, very good attentive service for coffee, etc. The rolls were actually crispy. We would gladly go back!

The room was big and clean. But there was no air conditioning. It was very hot during the day, but it was cooler at night. It's hard to imagine that there are still hotels without air conditioning in 2023.

We were given 4 bed (2 doubles) room in 4th floor for our 2 nights family stay. To get to our room in a lift you must to use physical metal key (given together with room key) but reception never bothered to tell us what extra key is for... otherwise lift will get you to second floor only, as there is no button to press for 4th floor. Good hotel, everything was clean and nice. Bed was very comfortable for me. Staff was great. Only thing that bothered me was that the breakfast was amazing on the first morning of my stay, but then a bit disappointing after - a staple like bacon was missing, there was no fried eggs, and I highly preferred the potato croquettes over the potato wedges.

Modern and clean interior. Friendly staff and great breakfast buffet (18€ is pricey though). Location is ideal with a lot of buses and tramways across the road. Rooms are quiet and room keeping is very attentive.

The rooms could have a bit cleaner - mainly talking about the floor. The shower and the bed furniture seems quite run down and broken. Location - I had a room to the back and did not hear any noise. Also its quite central and easy access to anything you might need!

Great and clean room for family with young kids. Great location with nearby food shop, buses and sushi restaurant. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Enjoyed their comfortable bed with breakfast buffet for 15€ which is worth it. Only 4 stars due not been clean under the bed. Hotel close to Düsseldorf airport.

You should expect a regular Mercure Hotel. Nothing too fancy but serving its purpose. I booked accommodation and car parking for 14 days. The price value was extremely good. Regardless I didn’t expect the taxi costs to the airport (10-15 mins) to be between 40-50€ per way. Could have booked the DUS airport parking instead for less money. But my fault in doing enough research.

The room was good, espically the double doors but was a bit surprised about paid parking, Eur 9 for 1 night. Was not aware about that.

I was living in this hotel for visiting fair and it was great experience, it is very quiet with fresh air surrouding and room is clean and tidy. The front desk worker Mr.Can Berber is also very friendly and helpful. I hope next time I can stay them more times. :)

Pretty far from airport (+30-50euro for taxi). But in general - pretty quiet and comfortable hotel. Restaurant is also good. Wifi is free, but working very slow on peak hours - minus one star for service.

I loved how the property had been organised and hope, how quite and safe it was . I hope the cleanliness would be upgraded.

Excellent property but no heating so freezing in the room as we stayed there in Dec 6 deg !

Last minute The hotel was a last minute decision due to leaving another property that was of an unexpected lower standard. My only criticisms are the lack of a safe in my room , one of the socket outlets by the tv was insecure( plenty of others available so not an issue), and was unable to use the bath provided, but the shower was great

Easy access and check in. Close to the center of Ratingen. Calm area. Room could be cleaner, quite some dust and web around the bed, especially near the head which is not so nice. Also insect in the room because windows were open, I think for quite some time without anyone using the room. Shower was impossible to change temperature. It is an ok hotel but better a different room than on ground floor

The property was renovated, very clean, spacious room, comfortable bed, had two windows and had fresh air, staff very friendly, Nina was an amazing host, very friendly and polite.

It was my first time staying in a self check in hotel, and actually I liked it. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was also good.

Overall, nice and cozy. I liked: Nice attic room, comfortable bed. Good breakfast buffet. Cozy overall. Possible improvements: No dessert next to the bed; advertised desk without a chair, only a stool; no armchair for relaxing. The keypad for room access was in a dark corner, making it almost impossible to see the numbers when entering them.

Actually a really nice hotel. Loved it there. Design superb, breakfast rich and fresh, and really comfortable beds.

I've never been received with more hospitality in a hotel, the whole staff is lovely, super friendly and they really think along. We arrived by bike that we could safely store in the parking garage nextdoor. The rooms have sparkling water and some snacks waiting for you. Breakfast and dinner were good.

In a small group of rd. 10 people we were out to dinner. The Service was attentive, fast and friendly. The food was very good and was arranged with love to Detail. The rustic ambience contributes to the fact that you will feel as a guest very well.

Perfectly fine My stay in Ratingen was perfectly fine. I have no complaints. The taxi to the airport is expensive and there's a €5 additional drop off charge so that should be taken into account, when "saving" money on accommodation near the airport.

The location is okay easy to find, it's a basic hotel, the bed is ok, the toilet light not working, floor very slippery in front of the shower, no glasses or even plastic cups, only 2 small towels, reception open limited hours. There are people gathered in front of the entrance talking and smoking.

The Hotel is very confortable. But the only thing close is the airport, which is 13km away.

Accurate, clean and convenient. Worth the price you pay for it. Bucolic views to the countryside from the window. Something you would not expect from a hotel at the airport. Pity that there is no restaurant in the hotel. Still, the shopping mall at the village is at 20 min. walking distance and there are some budget restaurants and a nice pizzeria for a decent dinner.

Nice to stay there only when you have your own car , becouse you can attend this place only with a single bus and this is not so comfortable , in special when the weather is not good and nice ( it was winter when I was there and it was also snowing) . About other aspects it was everything okay. You have free internet access also a little restaurant and the rooms are comfortable

The room I started in was clean and had an Ikea feel. The bathroom was in my room. No free airport shuttle. They have a self check in if you arrive after the front desk closes. The attendant who checked me in spoke English and called a cab for a early morning pick up.

Great place! Quiet, central, wonderful service and accommodations. Ownership took great care of us and even set breakfast special for us on Saturday. Really appreciate it. Stayed there 25 years ago and it still has the same charm with todays services. Mahalo 🙏🏼

This is a nice little hotel. The staff is friendly and they always have a good European breakfast. The room is clean and comfortable and you can walk to restaurants, cafes and bars in the area. I stay here fairly often for business. Nothing fancy, but you will enjoy your stay here.

Needed a place to stay within walking distance of where my business is. I’m American with no experience with the Germans language. Arrived late on a Sunday evening and got in no problem. If you’re used to super big American hotel rooms, this isn’t it. If you’re like me and need a place to rest that’s close to everything, then this is the spot. Also had a refrigerator which was super nice.

It's located at five minutes walking distance from the centre, lots of shops, markets and restaurants are easily reachable in a while. The hotel is situated in a quiet area. During the day you can even hear the planes from time to time. The staff is friendly and courteous, the breakfast is good. For vegetarians there is cheese, sweet spread and egg. The city centre with restaurant, supermarkets and bars is just around the corner. Unfortunately, the iron you can borrow is a disaster.
