Very good hotel with friendly service

I recently stayed at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf Ratingen and was very satisfied overall. The room was clean, well-equipped, and quietly located – ideal for a restful night. The staff was friendly and helpful, especially during check-in and breakfast service.

The breakfast buffet was varied and fresh, with a good selection of hot and cold dishes. I particularly enjoyed the coffee. The hotel's location is also convenient – both for business trips and excursions in the surrounding area.

One minor drawback was the slightly dated furnishings in the bathroom, but this hardly detracted from the positive overall impression.

Overall, a very pleasant stay – I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Super simple and pragmatic accommodation with a McDonald’s right across the street and free breakfast. Unbeatable value for money.

We stopped across the street to charge our car this morning. Instead of waiting in our car the staff of the Mercure Hotel welcomed us in their lobby. This was a very friendly and pleasant experience. I would definitely recommend to stay!

The facilities do not have A/C, sleeping after a long day of work in a hot room is not to my liking, at least it should have a fan. On hot days you have to sleep with the window open, all the noise from the vehicles passing by on the nearby highway can be heard in the room, it is almost impossible to rest. If you arrive after 9pm there is no restaurant service. Thank God there is a McDonald's across the street.

Fine hotel to spend the night, while travelling. Free onsite parking.Fast free internet. Modern rooms. Basic modern bathroom. Onsite restaurant with basic menu. Vert nice breakfast buffet. Close to the highway exit. Reasonable prices when the is no Messe in Düsseldorf or Essen.

The hotel is well-maintained and overall a good place to stay.

Some downsides:
I had booked a Privilege room with two separate rooms (as indicated in the All.com app). Upon arrival, it turned out to be a queen-size bed. I asked if I could switch rooms, but that wasn’t possible.

Additionally, there was only a single duvet provided. We had to ask several times to get one extra.

Moreover, there was no extra pillow in the bag for extra pillows.

We stay mostly there for our annual Essen Spiel trip. Short drive to the fair, comfy rooms and beds, good breakfast and a small but tasty dinner offering. Nice cocktail selection.
