Hotel Alttolkewitzer Hof Dresden in Dresden

Friendly staff - no english spoken (but I don't expect that). But this made it difficult later as we had a few issues. cons: 1) we prepaid and when showing the receipt they said that it was only a deposit (from my understanding) and that we needed to pay again. When we got home I saw that, no, we had in fact paid twice and tried contacting them several times via email, and had the travel agent who booked call and email, and they were unable to understand to fix the issue. We had to get it reversed on our credit card and thankfully we managed in time to have it corrected as we almost reached the max days to report. 2) internet was non-existent. They have several boosters but still doesn't work to even check your email. Nothing loads. I had to go stand at the front desk to get one bar of service so I could load google maps to get out of the city. Pros: restaurant had great food and service, staff are very friendly, our kids played with their daughter in the sandbox and had a great time. parking was free and it was easy to get to the location and not far from the city downtown for visiting museums the next morning. overall a good stay. the only real bother was the double payment.

Hotel near the Elbe TV tower - the Blue Wonder is 3 km away on foot!

Unfortunately you're awake from 5am when the tram passes by every 10 minutes and you have a room in building 2!
Breakfast for €14/person is OK - no fruit salad, no yoghurt! But there's plenty of ham/cheese from the counter, bread/rolls and muesli!
Recommended for a short trip!
