We had a wonderful stay at McDreams Hotel Leipzig-City! Everything was clean, modern, and very well organized. The room was comfortable, quiet, and had everything we needed. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore the city. We especially appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff were throughout our stay. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Leipzig!

Stayed here for the conference league final. Handy you have a digital key so you don't lose it.
Staff were very quick at responding via WhatsApp and helping when had issues getting in. They were very helpful with advice on getting around the town.
Only minor issues (which stopping the 5*) when we walked into the building and room there quite a smell of what I can describe as "wet dog". And also the hair dryer in the bathroom, wasn't working. I didn't mention these things to the staff because they wasn't major things that "ruined" my trip.

Other than that, i can't fault it at all and they wouldn't really stop me staying again.

Good location and rooms fine (although I was frequently woken up by the trams outside). The check-in process is a disaster, though. I spent an hour on a web-chat with Booking.com, as the booking system didn't recognise my booking and I was locked-out of my room as my key-card no longer worked. in addition, the booking screen froze on two separate occasions.

Amazing place! Good location with plenty of grocery, bakery and restaurants in the region! We forgot something in the room and they sent us immediately photo and information to recover it. Overall I truly recommend the hotel - easy and smooth check in with good clean rooms!

If you are ok with the basics..clean hotel and good location and price this is hotel for you. Any other single thing you need is charged extra. Not good hotels if you do not like to do all by yourself from checking to check out. There are not a single vending machine (I would recommend to install at least 1) in case you want water or coffee or snacks or anything.
If you buy breakfast be prepared to go to a backery with super unfriendly staff no english at all. I would recommend the hotel to print in english what is it included in breakfast.

Excellent Hotel!
Clean, comfortable, and with touches of Leipzig history in the decoration. You will learn useful informations! Comfortable bathroom also. Easy self check in. Very good location. There is an Edeka supermarket very close to you and many places to eat, bakery and cafe to the whole neighborhood. There is a tram right in front (to go to the city center, you will take tram line 3 from across the street). I highly recommend it! When I come back to Leipzig definitely I will choose it again!

Room is nice, but no air conditioning. With it being mid 30s outside the little blackout thing on the window isn’t doing much. The room was extremely uncomfortable and stuffy upon walking in and I’m sweating just sitting in here. I kind of regret booking this room, should’ve read reviews first to see there was no AC. might have to seek somewhere else anyway. I’m sure this is fine in the winter but in summer I would avoid this hotel if I were you, it gets too hot in Leipzig these days for hotels to still be unequipped. Charging an extra fee for a fan rental is a little insane for a hotel with no aircon too, I understand why the price was so cheap now

Edit: dropping to one star from two because it’s 00:30am and my room is still so uncomfortable. It’s so hot and stagnant, the window only cracks open from the top and does not fully open so it is impossible to get any airflow in here at all. Do not rent a room here in the summer, stay somewhere else that’s actually equipped for 30+ degree summer weather. Full waste of my money. It feels better out on the sidewalk than inside of my room does.

Good price-value ratio. Was not clean and had an old floor towel for the bathroom, but I think that's not the standard. Otherwise everything was perfect.

Mold in the bathroom and the sink hat a smell so u cant stay long in the bathroom

I book this hotel usually when I visit Leipzig due to the convenience of digital 24h checkin and ease of use. However, more often than not, there is not enough toiled paper, meaning you get only 1 that someone used before. Also if you go in summer you need to know there is no AC. If you need to buy food or drinks, know that there is no fridge.

The beds are great though. Also fast access to public transport.
All in all, I wouldn't say it is suited for longer stays, but I book it for convenience.
