Three Seasons in Kavos

I think this place has potential. We booked this hotel as a part of a holiday package.

When we arrived a man escorted us to our room, down a side road which was dark, secluded and felt very out of the way. Something to keep in mind if you are a female! Little scary.

We were told whilst booking there was a pool at the hotel and photos were shown of a pool. Despite this the hotel does not have a pool at all. Do not be fooled. We were informed before going on the holiday that new information had come to light that there was in fact no pool and that we had been mislead. When we arrived, we were told by the man who checked us in that there was a pool at the hotel just across the way. Which was only 2 seconds away from our room luckily enough. We were told that it was ‘free to use.’ Despite this when lying at the pool we were told we could not stay there unless we purchased drinks by the lady at the pool bar. We then went to order these ‘drinks’ and were told they only accepted cash. After going back to the room to get cash, we were then told that they had no change from a €10 note for a €6!!! Fanta lemon?!! €6 for a glass of Fanta lemon! The pool was nice, we went everyday, but dirty. At the bottom of the pool bits of dirt and rubbish which had gotten in and formed big black clumps. This was not fixed or cleaned throughout our stay. This made u feel a little uneasy. (Although this was the eleonas hotel)

On our 3rd night after waking up with bites all over us for 3 days straight we noticed serious amounts of mosquitoes in our room, everywhere. In the lights, on the floor, under the beds, on the walls, in the bathroom, under the dressing table and attached to various cobwebs, which also suggests the room was not being cleaned properly. The amount of mosquitoes was more than we had ever seen. And we ended up going on a killing spree at the early hours of the morning after being out. The hotel was surrounded by nature so something to keep in mind, lots of weird creatures.

The bathroom was questionable. The shower was nice and warm, but one grout in the tiles was brown and dirty looking. The most annoying thing was that we were given one roll of toilet paper for 3 girls every 2 days?! We kept running out and having to use makeup wipes or baby wipes! Which I’ve never had from a hotel. Most hotels leave 2/3 rolls or more in the bathrooms. Very frustrating.

Upon reflection, the room/apartment although nice and spacious. Were dirty. The beds were like rocks to lie on with one pillow per person.

The only benefits of the room were the toastie oven, sink and variety of cutlery they provided?

Disappointed in the stay. Think this hotel needs updated and cleaned more thoroughly.
