Island Beach Resort - Adults Only in Kavos

I didn’t stay at this resort, but I spent every single day there for a whole week — from morning until evening. I always paid for the sunbeds, ate and drank there every day, and everything seemed fine until the very last night.

During the week, I was always on good terms with the younger guy who works at the bar. He was polite and friendly, and I never had any issues with him. But on the last night, around 2 AM, I happened to walk past the entrance, and he was there together with an older man who claimed to be the manager.

When the younger one mentioned that I’m from Serbia, the older man suddenly started making inappropriate and threatening comments. He said he was from Kosovo and that he had a gun in his luggage, and that he could do whatever he wanted with me and even hide me in his luggage so that no one would ever find out.

I was completely alone, in the middle of the night, and I ran away terrified. No matter how nice the food, drinks, or atmosphere were during the day, this was absolutely unacceptable and made me feel extremely unsafe. I’m just thankful it happened on my last day and not earlier.

I can't even give this place 1 star what an awful experience.

Where do I start, the apartment complex we were staying in smelt like a sewer as there must have been a blocked drain somewhere luckily the smell did not stagnate into the room.
On arrival the host Dimitri bearing in mind we had just arrived we sat down for a drink he came over asking if we wanted to go on an excursion then fleeced us for €15 euros more than what it would have cost on the main street.

He is a very strange man with very strange habits all i will say is be weary or just dont bother coming to this hotel, I do not recommend anyone to book here there are far better resorts to go to.

Annex rooms were very basic, fridge was very noisy, shower head was not attached to the wall therefore someone had to hold it up when I wanted to wash my hair. When the water for the shower or sink was on it smelt like sewage. Room had no air conditioning so was difficult to sleep the first few nights along with the noise from the strip down below us. The bar staff were nice. The best thing about the place was Sydney the rep for the hotel he really helped us around with day trips, where we could rent quads, best places for food etc..

Worst hotel I ever stayed in. The only good thing is the location of the hotel which is right on the strip. Loads of other people complained. People had to wait for their rooms. They tend to over book the rooms. The room I stayed in wasn't located in the main the building. The bed is uncomfortable and a single bed even when you are a couple. Lack of amenities. No shower curtain so when having a shower the water goes everywhere. Small bathroom with lack of lighting. They do supply you with a fridge, towels, kitchen utensils however they give you 2 toilet rolls which they think it will last a while. There is air conditioning but they charge you daily. They charge you for the sun bed/lounger. Haven't noticed the cleaners as frequently. When you tell them about the lack of no shower curtains or the amount of toilet rolls they won't listen. To the point we had to book somewhere else. When I booked somewhere else then they decided to listen and check the rooms. Seems like no one checks the rooms. Rooms are very outdated no TV. They gave us the wrong room as we requested their should be a room each in different apartments instead they gave us 2 rooms one apartment. Tried to explain they weren't having it. Please avoid it not worth it!!!. Wouldn't come back to this hotel at all.
