Trabukos Beach Complex in Kavos

DO NOT RECOMMEND

If you’re looking for a hotel in Kavos, avoid booking with Trabukos Beach Complex. We have booked our holiday through On The Beach, and the hotel has been completely misleading.

We had been taken into our room, which looked completely different to the images online. Considering we were put into accommodation separate to the hotel, this was already disappointing. Being put in a random room further away from the actual hotel, was NOT mentioned in the booking. This room did not include any WiFi, and the air-con cost money. Due to our disappointment, the hotel manager offered us free air-con, however it didn’t work for the first 3 nights and needed fixing. The fact that free air-con wasn’t included in the price is also very misleading.

The lock for our door was also bent and faulty, making it hard to enter the room or lock it while leaving.

We kept asking for a new room, in the actual hotel, and kept being told there was no space. I believe the hotel had simply been overbooked, however at the end of the day we had paid to be in that hotel and have facilities such as WiFi in the room.

The room we were put into also had a shared balcony, which we thought was unsafe, considering anyone from the other rooms could simply walk into our room. Apart from the faulty air-con, the toilet could barely flush, and the showers were awfully weak, which was a massive inconvenience, especially when you’re trying to wash your hair.

One morning we had also woken up to ants crawling in the room and in our suitcases, which is disgusting.

To top it off, the hotel was advertised as adults only, whereas there was a group of children running around and swimming. Normally I wouldn’t mind this, however our hotel was supposed to child-free.

I understand we haven’t booked a 5* hotel, however the hotel ad is completely misleading, and not all facilities are available.

Pretty decrepit, the Anex kitchen room looked absolutely nothing like the pictures, the 'kitchen Anex' was unusable and the kitchen tap didn't work at all. There was someone's blood splattered up the bathroom wall, constant smell of sewage in the bathroom. No wifi. Our double bed was separated by 2 metal frames 😂 our door didn't close or open properly which we were told someone was going to come fix yet no one has ever arrived. No smoke alarm in the room. Electricity kept tripping every 5 mins. Our bathroom bin hasn't been emptied for 2 days until we went and asked if someone could come and empty it. Couldn't even put a chandelier in the room. Really disappointing. Majority of the staff were lovely and the pool area is okay apart from the toilets in the pools area which the door has no lock on it and there is no toilet seats.
