Pefkides Aegina Boutique Apartments in Agia Marina

A horrible old dump. Run-down. The bathroom is 1 square meter and stinks of urine. Everything is old, from the 70s, cheaply painted over. All the bathroom fixtures are loose. The room wasn't cleaned in four days, but the bathroom was cleaned daily.

Probably the worst apartment we have ever stayed. Makes you wonder if the reviews on the internet are genuine..
1. Practically non-existent, indifferent and disorganized hosts: when we called them upon arrival, they almost wondered who we are, needless to say that no-one was there and urged us to search for the cleaning lady and ask if she had the keys to our apartment. Note: we had agreed and confirmed our arrival and deposited a down payment!!
2. Sleep: Least comfortable bed mattress, must be there from the 80s, combined with a single tiny pillow. Had to use my own inflatable beach pillow to sleep properly.
3. Bathroom: inadequate shower protection glass, the whole bathroom is flooding as soon as you start showering. The toilet bowl is placed in the most narrow place, making it impossible to sit properly.
4. Room: visible damages, e.g. lights not working, cabinet doors hanging, dirty appliances from previous guests. When I mentioned those to the host from the very first day, she seemed surprised and totally unaware. Never fixed any of those...
5. Service: you lift your suitcases, water bottles, anything on your own, no-one is there to help. On top of that, a rude old lady living in a permanent apartment makes inappropriate comments as you pass by carrying heavy things. When you leave the room, the cleaning lady enters, of course she doesn't intend to clean, she just wants to turn the air-conditioning off.
To be fair, sitting on the highest point of Aghia Marina, the apartments have an amazing view of the entire village, but with such low room quality and bad, inadequate hosts all that beaty goes to waste.
Shame on you Pefkides Boutique Apartments, you are an embarrassment to Aegina and to the Greek tourism.
