Unacceptable!!!
I am absolutely furious about my stay at Stay Hostel. I found a bunch of bedbugs in the room, and when I reported it, I wasn't taken seriously. I received absolutely NO HELP. It is unbelievable that a hostel could refuse to listen after someone reports a serious problem to which they shouldn’t have been exposed to in the first place.
Bedbugs are not a minor inconvenience, they can infest your belongings and clothes and you might end up taking the problem home with you. The fact that the staff didn't believe my report or take me seriously only makes the situation worse.
I would absolutely NOT recommend this hostel to anyone. If you value hygiene, a safe place to sleep, and a staff that puts their guests first, I would stay far away from the stay hostel. A terrible experience and a totally unacceptable way to handle a serious hygiene issue.
Finally, there is a quote in the lobby saying "everybody cool! This is a place to STAY," but actually, the end should really say: “This is a place to STAY away from!”

It's a relatively inexpensive hostel in the area, yet the rooms and common areas are clean. I booked a double room, and it even had a terrace, which was great.

Good hostel with AC and a beautiful balcony from the room. The location is great and the staff are friendly! Would stay again.

during my first stay locker of my room didn't work. Hostel seems quite empty, so not the social kind of the hostel. Internet a bit slow. The rooms are cleaned daily and the cleaning ladies are very nice despite not speaking English
the hostel needs serious renovations as many toilets lack the seats or the doors do not close and shower heads do not work properly, there is nearly no cutlery in kitchens and you need to borrow it from the receptions. losing key card means you need to pay 30 euros about which they could warn a bit more.

An awful hostel, the location is fine, but the hygiene is awful, after asking for a refund they told me they couldn’t do it (even for the nights I wasn’t staying anymore and gave them back the keycard). If you want a good stay in Thessaloniki go anywhere but here! The showers have no privacy, nothing to hang clothes or put soap, some of the showers don’t even have doors. Also if you expect to make friends here since it’s a “youth” hostel, I hope you enjoy being friends with people averaging the age of 50. Didn’t really feel nice or safe as a 19 year old.

Great location, very central but be aware if you are coming with a car since finding a convenient parking location is a lottary. Rooms were good, the bathrooms were very clean even though they're shared.

I want to express my gratitude for the wonderful days I spent at this hostel. Like everything, nothing is perfect, but it wasn't far from it. The staff were impeccable, always available and very friendly to the guests, which is important to me. Once again, thank you for all the help and availability. See you soon.

The hostel comes with everything I needed for a stay, but a frying pan. The common areas were clean and tidy.
I especially wanted to mention the immense empathy of the front desk worker who checked me in. So much positive energy and ease, it was quite an experience to talk to him. His name is Elias, he definetly deserves a raise.

Clean and wonderful. A nice place. I would like to use it again. It's good because you can walk to various places. Very good. Pretty good, I think.
