Oceanis - Cephalonie in Skala Kefalonias

We would normally wait till the end of a trip to review but this one couldn’t wait. L I can say is Wow!! The perfect location, spectacular views, a wonderful welcome and the most amazing breakfast. This hotel is a must if you are visiting Poros. It is a close enough walk to the ferry and centre albeit a little steep -but they have even thought of that and offer a free shuttle to and from the port. Simple rooms but spotlessly clean and the most amazing views!!

This is my second stay here and it won't be the last. This small hotel is just perfect for our needs, yes it's only a 2* but it really is a great place to stay. Alex and his whole family go out of their way to make your stay perfect and it truly was. Breathtaking views, a lovely pool, simple rooms with amazing views and air-conditioning that's free! The fridge/freezer with the added bonus of a very reasonable honesty mini bar, is a godsend when it's 32c outside and you need a nice cold drink. I cry every time I have to leave. Please do not change a thing, your hotel works perfectly just as it is. Until next time.....

Myself and my mum were the last guest to check out because the hotel closed for the winter. We stayed in room 106 the views are breathtaking, our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, there is a fridge/freezer and a kettle. Breakfast was nice and the staff are very attentive. My mum has arthritis, she was able to take a slow walk down to the beach but could not manage the walk back as it is uphill, this was not a problem because the hotel provide transport to and from the beach/square. The hotel is rated a 2* but I would rate it a 3* Alex is the nicest host he really made us feel so welcome. This hotel is definitely great value for money.

Stayed here for 5 nights as a solo female traveller. Hotel is lovely and the views are amazing. Felt safe here. Alex really is as lovely and helpful as all the other reveiws say he is, as are all the others staff.. Such a peaceful and laid back holiday...Poros is beautiful. would return 100%.xxx

What a great hotel, Alex and his family work really hard and are so accommodating. Nothing is to much trouble. The rooms are basic, but are very clean and beds super comfortable and you only sleep and get ready in them The Breakfast is amazing, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, lots to choose from and something for everyone. Lunch is also good, they do stop serving food at 4, but there is a great restaurant down the road. The beach is not far, but it is all it is downhill. The hotel offer a free shuttle bus to and from the beach. Great location, with amazing views, there are quite a few steps to get down to the pool. They offer car hire from the hotel and booked us a boat trip. I went with my 2 sisters and friend for a week. We had a great time. Will definitely be returning and would 100%recommend the Oceanis

This is my second stay here, I came in June 24 with my two adult daughters and this time, just with my husband. I honestly cannot fault this hotel, Alex and his family work very hard to make your stay the best it can be. For a 2* hotel, I really don't know how they provide what they do. This hotel is high up on the hillside overlooking the harbour. So you do need to have good mobility as there are no lifts. There are steps down to the port by the side of the nearby Sunset restaurant and by Agrapidos Taverna or you can walk along the quiet road. It takes around 10 minutes to get down via the steps/road to the port. We never used the courtesy transfer to town or back as getting the steps in helps with all the lovely food you will eat. There is a lovely pool here, however we much prefer the beach and swimming in the crystal clear sea. This stay, the pool area was busy, so we just rarely use it. Our room was on the same level as the pool overlooking the port (room 101), the views really do take your breath away. If you want a basic hotel but one that has heart and soul, then this place is for you. I know this will not be our last time here, we are definitely coming back.

This was gift for for son and fiancée recently engaged. We stay in poros every year and this year total of 14 here to celebrate my 60th. Views were amazing as was hotel. However it is high up above the village. I got them a car for 4 of the 6 days as they were travelling home early it meant they had no car the last night. They went to the desk to ask for lift and were flatly refused and told none available for 3 hours. I borrowed a friends car to collect them only to find that the shuttle bus was actually there. We tried to contact for lift back no answer so friend took him back. Another friend said she sees the shuttle bus up and down all day. DO NOT take for granted that it’s available hire a car

A hidden gem in the most amazing position with views across the bay. Amazing staff and so so quiet! Our fave Hotel in Kephalonia every time we go. Just stunning 😍 ✨️ amazing breakfast and superb cafe/bar in best location in Poros. Beautiful Cove within 5 min walk of hotel. Brilliant for families and couples. So quiet and the views.... ❤️ brilliant taverna 2 min walk from hotel with stunning views too.

Stunning views! Beautiful family run authentic Greek hotel. We had a really peaceful, relaxing stay. It’s positioned high upon a hill overlooking the harbour. You can rent a car from the hotel or book the transport & Alexander or his dad will take you down into the town & pick you up. There are set times which work really well. The breakfast is lovely with a lot of choice. The pool food menu is great too. The food is really good! There’s a lovely taverna 50meters away from the hotel but you have to book as they get busy. There are some lovely places to eat down by the harbour & along the sea front. The pool area is lovely & so quiet with the most beautiful views. Rooms are basic but very clean with a fridge & air con. But what more do you want, you only sleep in them. Just watch your shins when walking around the bed as the wood base sticks out lol!! Thank you to everyone at this beautiful hotel for making our holiday so enjoyable & a big thank you to Alexander for looking after us, such a lovely bloke! We will definitely be back! If you want a chilled out relaxing holiday with stunning views then this is the place to be! Like all the other reviews say, there are a lot of steps.
