The Cactus Hotel is a vibe. Ice cold beer on tap, a balcony made for pretending you’re in a music video, and a logo so good I’d happily wear it on a T-shirt. Shoutout to the mysterious midnight phantom who politely stops you from belly-flopping into the pool at 3am the true unsung hero. Add in the full-on Club Tropicana energy, and you’ve got yourself a stay that’s equal parts holiday and fever dream.

A lot of these reviews say the old rooms are terrible. I guess we were fortunate to have received a more modern and updated room, however that still didn’t cut it. We had so many mosquitos in our room I was chewed up for their dinner every night. Staff said they sprayed every few days, but ask for more than that if you can. Walls were full of dead mosquitos and people’s shoe prints from killing them. Shower & sinks were dirty. The towels weren’t quality standard, and blankets had stains. I’d say breakfast was the best part and I didn’t find staff that friendly or helpful. Lots of people sitting around the pool, so it must have been good, but please people, go out and see Zakynthos for its natural beauty. There is so much to see on the island.

Like an oasis in the busy Laganas area. We were looking for a hotel from where we could explore the island. We found that the staff went out of their way to help us and handled our every request kindly and promptly. Arranging dinner reservations, making it possible to charge an electric car, and other small things. We felt welcome and at home. The hotel offers a decent sized pool with a pool bar (and some excellent cocktails). The newly renovated room felt modern and cosy. Private parking (behind a gate) is available.

Cactus hotel is the best in every way!!! We came here on our honeymoon and were treated very well by the staff and had a lovely stay. Our room was so comfortable. They gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and activities too. We hope to come back soon! Thank you Cactus for everything!!
