La Signora Hotel in Lourdhata

Our stay was simply wonderful! The hotel is amazing, with a super friendly and professional staff who made us feel at home from the very first moment. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious, a perfect start to every day. And the best surprise of all — the adorable cats around the property that made the atmosphere even more charming. Highly recommended!

Fantastic small friendly hotel. Lovely staff. Nice pool area. Short walk to bars and restaurants. Perfect if you like the quieter sort of hotel without hundreds of rooms and loads of restaurants and bars. Tranquil escape ideal for couples.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and lots of comfy seating areas to relax in. The breakfast was decent, hot showers and the beds and pillows very comfortable. Only down side is the sound proofing as sound from other bedrooms travels quite a lot. Bring earplugs! But otherwise a gorgeous spot.

Well how do I start …..? Wow!!!. What a fantastic experience starting with our beautiful Angelic Xena on the front desk who welcomed us as though we were “Royal’s” spending time explaining everything to us and even gave us a hand written Anniversary letter. She couldn’t wait to teach us after us asking to teach us a Greek Phrase each day that we attempted to learn… μας φέρθηκαν σαν να ήμασταν οικογένεια Nico greeted us and with his calming charm made us very welcome and the bar staff headed by George were great … All of them including the house keeping ‘First Class’!!!’ Kefalonia we will be back and La Signora we hope to see you again real soon ..

We didn't expect much, but we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a boutique style, very clean, and the room we were in was huge in comparison to some high-end hotels. Nothing was broken. We had sufficient amenities and, believe it or not, an abundance of clothes hangers! We didn't use the pool because we spent time with friends at a nearby villa, but the pool was clean, large enough, and the sunbeds were plentifully available. We would walk past at 10:30 am and still see sunbeds free. (We travelled early Sept, so not sure what it would be like in August). The clientele were mainly older, 60-70-year-olds, at a guess? At 46 I felt young! :) Location: It's a pretty easy 10 min walk down to the beach. An exhausting 20 min walk back up a steep hill! Or, an exhausting 20 min walk further UP the hill to main restaurants and bars, and an easy 10 mins stagger back. In heat, it's easier to get a cab which is about EUR 10 max. We hired a quad to get around places during the day to explore, but if you want a quiet break and don't intend to explore, then a few cabs here and there would be the ideal choice. Room for Improvements: Breakfast was basic, but actually not as poor as some reviews I've read. Bacon was good, beans and eggs. It would be great if poached eggs were an option, and decent sausages. Not sure, as we didn't ask, but lattes would also be nice instead of the Urn coffee. We ate on a Greek night (Sunday) for our only evening meal. It was nice, except that the chicken was dangerously undercooked. We left some as it was more than pink, but a bit fleshy. The next day we both had stomach pains/cramps, and my wife for a further 24 hours too. Luckily, it wasn't worse, but the Chef's chicken cooking needs checking before it goes out. Lastly, cats! With so many strays on the island, it would be good if the Hotel discourages/bans guests from buying Cat food and leaving it everywhere. It stinks, and it's unhygienic. Overall I think the most important question is, would we visit this hotel again, and the answer is yes, absolutely. It was fantastic value.

What a truly wonderful and unique hotel! In such a picturesque setting; the mountains behind and the sea in front. The staff were amazing and the food delicious. Highly recommended!

Fantastic boutique hotel in a great location with super friendly staff. Sea view room was fantastic to watch the sun go down, very clean with everything you could want. Really good breakfast as well with a great choice. Thoroughly recommend. Thank you Venetia and team for a great holiday, we’ll be recommending to our friends and hope to visit you again one day.

Had a lovely family meal for 5 of us with great, professional and friendly service from Gregory and his team. Lovely surroundings and music with delicious food! Really enjoyed our evening!

Only stayed a couple of nights , but did stay in the master suite. It was lovely decorated, very clean, and comfy, worth the money. Didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough. Big shout out to the gentleman on the reception desk, I didn't catch his name but he was very friendly and the hotel owner should be proud of him, and all the staff. Location is about 5 min walk to the beach, 10 minutes walk back as it is up a hill. Breakfast and lunches were good quality and not too expensive for a hotel. Slight niggles, motorbike was going up and down the hill around midnight for a while, sound insulation in the room could be better, but appreciate hotel can't do much with motorcyclists. The other thing was on Sunday the hotel does a greek night, I asked if they were doing room service as they weren't serving in restaurant unless you paid for the greek night. I was told they were. When I went to order I was told that they were not doing room service on Sundays, so I then had to go out. Minor niggles, but could have created an issue for some
