Hotels on first line in Agia Marina

Myself and my partner have spent the last fortnight at the Giannoulis Santa Marina Beach Hotel and we loved every minute of our stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable and welcoming

In the evening it is imperative to sit by the bar and enjoy the breeze. Santa Marina Beach unlocked the feature of our new favorite hotel. Booking our stay for 2026 very soon

The beach is lovely and there were plenty of sunbeds available but it was end of season and I didn’t notice anyone reserving them. The best thing about the hotel is the staff

We got pool view rooms that were spacious, clean and contemporary and also quiet which is a huge plus! Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves so much

The aura of the hotel gives off classic Mediterranean aesthetic of playfulness and relaxation, especially due to the beach in front and the views

Great location to all the best beaches and the Marina which is about 15/20 minute walk across the beach

Hotel centrally placed just off the main road. Restaurants close by, 5 mins walk. Best ones , turn left at hotel exit and walk up the hill. Lunchtime meals on the main road or overlooking the beach

Lovely clean hotel in a fantastic location near the beach , shops, bars and restaurants. Great sized pool though no graduated walk in. There were plenty of sunbeds, refreshing not to have to get up early

Rom has kettle, microwave, hob and fridge with freezer compartment. Pool clean, sunbeds sometimes difficult to get. The grassed area by the breakfast could be utilised for this. Lifts are available to all floors

Our room allocation made our stay perfect. We had a sea and pool view, lovely. There's plenty of storage too which we were pleased with [we don't travel lightly]! Nice balcony

You could order drinks and snacks from your sunbed using a QR code. Waiter Sudesh was particularly pleasant and also worked in the restaurant in the mornings. Breakfast was good and the selection changed every day

We never had a problem getting a lounger though on our side of the hotel, the beach side pool was always over crowded with no free loungers. You have to pay for sun loungers on the beach though

We stayed at the iolida beach for a week, there was two adults & a 10 year old! All in all we had a fab break! The hotel is split in two halves connected by a bridge over the main road! Our room needed abit of updating & tlc however it was absolutely spotless as is the rest of the hotel! The pools are clean & well maintained there were no issues with getting sunbeds! Location of hotel is good, 17 euros...

We had a room on the 4th floor accross the road from the beach but had a nice sea view. The room was large and we had a fridge, kettle and cooking facilities even though we were all inclusive

There are 2 pools and even though there are signs everywhere saying you cannot reserve loungers some people chose to ignore this and staff didn't remove their towels

Stallos (i think that's his name ) in the pool bar was always cheerful and knew my favourite drink, our cleaner was very chatty and nice but we forgot her name

The food was just acceptable , not always to our taste but they have guests from all over the world so have to cater for all tastes even though some seemed like odd choices. The food wasnt very warm though

Hotel is immaculate, beautiful pool, easy access to the beach, food in the Waves beach bar was amazing and huge portion sizes, short €2 bus journey to Chania port. Highly recommend this hotel

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is plentiful. The rooms are clean and the view of the beach is nice. Lots of pool options.

This is a pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are adequate but tired. There are not enough sun beds by the pool areas for everyone. The beach sun beds are €5 per day per bed

If you get the old rooms, you hear everything your neighbours are doing. And they should renovate the bathroom. But it was always cleaned very thoroughly. Besides that everything was top notch

Everything we needed was within walking distance....The convenience was a very important quality for us plus staff at hotel utmost helpful. I will definitely come back yo hotel and area

Everything is modern in the room. Breakfast is good, but could be crowded and at these moments serving dishes are empty. Not enough staff to serve, clean, and prepare tables. We were there at the end of the season

Cannot imagine how they are operating in the season. Beach is nice but the water is shallow and you need to walk for a good 5 min to be able to go deep in the water. Beach chairs are very low and not really comfortable

Nice comfortable chairs are around the pool, but only 4 of them, and you cannot move them even a little bit to get a shade. They do not open any umbrellas on the deck with the statement that it is a wind

Area is turisty, there are a lot of good restaurants, a bus is operating on the main street and will bring you to the nearest small cities

Free loungers and umbrellas for hotel guests and you could order drinks to your sunbed. Never busy when we were there. Nice sandy beach and shallow waters

We were there at the end of the season and always found parking ok and loads of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. Beach is nice, shingle rather than sand. Entertainment in the evening very good

Local area is no doubt very busy in the high season, but many shops and restaurants had started to close while we were there

Quiet room, comfortable bed, good location, great pool and fantastic service. All positives, no negatives.

We enjoyed the Thalassa Beach hotel, especially the pool and the beach lounge chairs. It was nice that there were always beach chairs available

The standard double was considerably nicer than the beach wing room. What really lets this place down is the food. Breakfast was fine as it’s standard continental, lunch was hit and miss but normally ok

The hotel itself is nice, the room was good. I stayed in two types, as on arrival my room in the main hotel (standard double) wasn’t ready. They put be in the beach wing for one night

The beach is 50m away, but it's not the best, it's better to go around 1km to the east to find beach with normal sand. If you have all inclusive option, you will get only the cheapest drinks in the bar

Off street free parking right in front of the apartment. Area has several restaurants within a few minutes walk and nice beach for swimming/windsurfing. Great communication with management

The food was fresh and the dining area was clean. Our room didn’t have the greatest view, but it was very quiet. We could never hear the people adjacent to or above us. I would definitely stay here again

The great staff is very service minded, and great rooms with an amazing atmosphere. The place is located just a few meters from the beach whereas the hotel have their own place with different options for beach beds

Excellent cocktails from Andre (better than Chania old town)! Alongside the hotel manager being very accommodating and recommending all of the best beaches alongside some non-touristy local villages and towns

We stayed at Dore Hotel For a week on 10th of July. We had such a lovely relaxing Week as needed. The most important thing about this hotel was the people. Everyone was so accommodating , hard working and professional

We never do all inclusive but chose this option. The food was all very good quality and we really enjoyed looking to see what was on offer at meal times. We don’t have any restrictions and will try things so we are lucky

I particularly enjoyed watching the aqua dancing and Pedro the instructor was so much fun. I never join in but did and really enjoyed it. We didn’t use the bus but getting a taxi was easy and quite cheap

One of the best sea views, we’ve had. The staff in the hotel were very helpful, we went into Chania one night and they arranged taxis

The hotel is immaculate , no plates lying around or wasted food like other all inclusive hotels. The other guests were very respectful too. Everyone was so friendly and the atmosphere was so relaxed

Not only a lovely garden… Best location right next to great beach, very nice newly renovated room (No 21), Nice pool, sunbeds always available, and very friendly and service-minded staff at this great family hotel, we look forward to returning to already!

A very important thing to notice: They advertise free sunbeds for ALL if you buy something from the pool bar. This results in a lot of people not staying at the hotel visiting both the pool and and the hotels beach area

The pool is lovely, clean, and ideal for a relaxing swim, and the hotel bar/restaurant serves a variety of delicious food. Rooms are simple but comfortable, with air conditioning in both the bedroom and living area

The Cretan salad is a must try! Very close to the firm and clean kept beach, with a few small cliffs nearby where small fish and octopuses can be spotted while snorkeling

Very nice sandy beach, lots of umbrellas and 5 authentic greek cafes. You can spend here the whole day without caring for finding where to have breakfast, lunch or even a great dinner.

The highlight for us was definitely the swimming pool — it’s stunning! Crystal-clear water, plenty of comfortable loungers, and a beautiful setting that made it the perfect place to relax

We spent hours just soaking up the sun and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Also so close to the beach with a great bar attached the main barman was really nice and made us very welcome

Sea bream is simply great. Other food is delicious too, especially grilled feta. We ate here for 6 times in a row.

This is a great place to stay, right on the beach and handy for everything. The apartments are cleaned every other day and Georgina who owns and runs it is very polite and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for her

The room was clean and tidy and everyday would be cleaned and the bins would be emptied by the staff. We had a room with sea view which was breathtaking. Sea is just in front of the Hotel

Very nice location with the hotel AT the beach. You are at the pool and you can hear the ocean. The double rooms are nice and good size. Could maybe use an extra shelve, but it is very cozy

Very nice pool with a deep end (2,5+ meters). The water isn't full of chemicals and they have a good amount of sunbeds. We had no trouble getting one even at noon

It is a cozy hotel, with a nice pool area and a great location. If you go 5 minutes to the left you’ll reach our favorite bar Tropicano and of course much more. The best thing about the hotel was definitely the staff

My friend and I are two girls from Denmark, who spend 1 week in Agia Marina and stayed in Epimendis hotel. Our flat consisted of 1 bedroom, 1 dining room with a small kitchen, 1 bathroom, and 2 outside sitting areas

Very friendly and helpful people. The lovely receptionist help us with renting a car and because of her we got a great discount. Also she help us book a boat trip. If we needed anything they were available to us

We enjoyed to make our own breakfast and there were plenty of shops nearby the hotel witch made it easy to get groceries. It is not a 5 stars hotel, but you get good value for the money

Travelled with Kids and i would go back to this Hotel again, if going to hania again. Nice restaurants close By,i recommend Nymfi and Meraki tavern close, up on the hills

The staff at the Minerva gladly let us use some beds when we wanted a beach day (@ 6 days) as long as we bought some drinks. On our last day we stopped there for some lunch, a good couple of hours looking out to the sea

Right by the beach, top-notch service and spacious rooms (if you can, pick the sea view). Breakfast is monotonous which is expected for the price. 20 minutes to Chania by bus, great restorants in the vicinity.

We had lunch at the patio at Minerva restaurant, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience! The setting is beautiful with a serene sea view, the food was very good with fresh local ingredients, and the service was outstanding

I will comment only the on the restaurant as I have been to almost all of them in the area. The food is probably the best along the sea side of Agia Marina

Location is superb, 4 or 5 truly wonderful restaurants on your doorstep in a quiet, beautiful little area, and you’re 5 mins stroll to the beach

There are only about 20 sunbeds round the small pool but those that choose to spend their holidays laying there are easily able to find a bed

The main road is awash with restaurants, tavernas and bars overlooking the sea. Regular buses, 5 mins away, go into Chania

Breakfast was great, cooked and cold offerings, sufficient for our needs. Pool area is small but very clean and relaxing

This small, well designed hotel is ideally located and suited us down to the ground. The staff are so friendly and hard working and nothing is too much trouble for them

The previous review that says you have to make your own bed is absolutely not true. Beds are made and towels changed every day apart from Sunday
