Best Hotels in Agia Marina

All the staff was so nice and friendly and eager to help! Special thanks to Hara (the name means happy in greek) so we called her happy because she was always smiling and so serviceminded and friendly and made our stay even better 🩷

Michallis in the mainbar was also so nice and the other barman in the poolbar witch we unfortunally forgot the name of. Do not hesitate to book, you will have a lovely stay

The sunbeds fill up very quickly, it’s advisable to get up early if you are spending your day on the beach. It’s so worth it though! The beach bar provided a great service too

We just arriwed home after spending a week here and even tho it was early in the season we had a lovely time at this hotell

Just spent a fantastic week here. Yes the rooms are small but perfectly adequate, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The towels were changed every day and the bedding every other day. I found the food to be very good

The rooms are big ( we got an upgrade), the amenities are excellent ( multiple pools) and the location is right on the beach. You might stay across the road but many resorts in this region have similar design

Great location to all the best beaches and the Marina which is about 15/20 minute walk across the beach

Hotel centrally placed just off the main road. Restaurants close by, 5 mins walk. Best ones , turn left at hotel exit and walk up the hill. Lunchtime meals on the main road or overlooking the beach

Ours was 70 euros for 2 weeks. Monkey Bar does good Lunches for good prices as does Gorgon on the beach. There is a small supermarket opposite the hotel entrance. Small number of gift shops on the main street

You could order drinks and snacks from your sunbed using a QR code. Waiter Sudesh was particularly pleasant and also worked in the restaurant in the mornings. Breakfast was good and the selection changed every day

Please be aware of the 10 euros per day tourist tax, that was a shock [we only paid 2 euros a day in July visiting another Greek island, and it was a 4 star hotel] Would highly recommend The Atrion

Our room allocation made our stay perfect. We had a sea and pool view, lovely. There's plenty of storage too which we were pleased with [we don't travel lightly]! Nice balcony

the food in the restaurant was brilliant different every day loved the potatoes the staff were brilliant especially the waiters n waitresses they were on the ball when it came to tidying up the pool was good and it was great they had a bridge to the beach

We had a room on the 4th floor accross the road from the beach but had a nice sea view. The room was large and we had a fridge, kettle and cooking facilities even though we were all inclusive

The local area did not have any bars open with music or entertainment either so we played yahtzee whilst sat in the bar. There are 2 tvs in the rooms but no English channels so no good for us to watch

The food was just acceptable , not always to our taste but they have guests from all over the world so have to cater for all tastes even though some seemed like odd choices. The food wasnt very warm though

The air con was great and there is a small kitchenette with a fridge etc. We only used the fridge to keep drinks cold. In the beach side is a pool, sun loungers, the reception, bar and beach

There are 2 pools and even though there are signs everywhere saying you cannot reserve loungers some people chose to ignore this and staff didn't remove their towels

Had an excellent stay at this hotel would highly recommend this to people heading to Agia Marina

If you get the old rooms, you hear everything your neighbours are doing. And they should renovate the bathroom. But it was always cleaned very thoroughly. Besides that everything was top notch

The hotel food at lunch time is lovely and good quality. There is a gym but so small and very hot with no air conditioning, not pleasant. There was music entertainment 3 times a week and it was very nice,

Everything we needed was within walking distance....The convenience was a very important quality for us plus staff at hotel utmost helpful. I will definitely come back yo hotel and area

As good as it gets for every reason you can think of. This was our second year in a row as a family visiting Theo hotel and we have never been back to the same place more than once until now

The staff are excellent and polite always happy to see you and help with anything. The rooms were very clean and tidy with excellent views all round

Patio area is the main walk way to other rooms - no privacy. Pool area really good, not supposed to be able to reserve a sunbed, but by breakfast there were plenty of towels out and mist beds gone

Listed as 4* but certainly does make that grade. Breakfast was really good staff friendly & helpful, buffet style, plenty of choice. Bathroom floods & is like something from the 70's

The staff were friendly and always happy to help assist you for your daily needs and advise us for day trips. The hotel has a beautiful pool with a great bar and spa etc and the daily breakfast was vast in variety

Their kindness and genuine hospitality made us feel at home in the best way possible. Words honestly can’t describe how amazing they all were

Our flight got delayed and thus we arrived later than expected and the hotel offered complimentary breakfast for our stay which helped get our vacation back on track! The staff was extremely friendly. I can't give less than 5 stars. The apartment was clean and cozy, comfortable beds, great view and ambience. Easy access to restaurants, supermarkets and the beach

a good hotel by the sea, its own beach, a restaurant with a view of the sea, a large parking lot, the only downside is that for some reason they also made parking spaces right in front of the windows of some of the rooms, it would be better if they weren't there, it spoils the view, the staff is nice, everyone is polite, we were surprised that they gave us a brand new umbrella for free to use for...

Everything is modern in the room. Breakfast is good, but could be crowded and at these moments serving dishes are empty. Not enough staff to serve, clean, and prepare tables. We were there at the end of the season

Cannot imagine how they are operating in the season. Beach is nice but the water is shallow and you need to walk for a good 5 min to be able to go deep in the water. Beach chairs are very low and not really comfortable

Area is turisty, there are a lot of good restaurants, a bus is operating on the main street and will bring you to the nearest small cities

The restaurants near the hotel had a huge variety of different foods & they were all great. However, none of that would stop me coming back to this little gem of a hotel, situated right on the beach in Agia Marina

it was on the ground floor, no steps or stairs. We had a room with disability access. Neither of us have great mobility. The room was cleaned every day, fresh towels every day too

Excellent stay, affordable and clean. Room was comfortable and easy to access. The breakfast bar was a nice treat. Hotel felt geared to older crowd, we are late 30s and were youngest in the pool and breakfast by far

Grate and welcoming staff, Giorgios and Kristina. Excellent breakfast. Pool was ok, beach is rocky and no music. Not a deal breaker. Other beaches offer good options and inexpensive

We were there at the end of the season and always found parking ok and loads of sun beds around the pool and on the beach. Beach is nice, shingle rather than sand. Entertainment in the evening very good

We spent four days in the hotel at the end of the season. Accomodations ware great, food is good and the stuff gave us a home like fealing. We rented the big room with jacuzzi and it was great

They also plan multiple activities such as having a singer at the hotel bar. The food was also really good with a lot of choices. Our room was really big, Much more than I expected

The beach is 50m away, but it's not the best, it's better to go around 1km to the east to find beach with normal sand. If you have all inclusive option, you will get only the cheapest drinks in the bar

The food was fresh and the dining area was clean. Our room didn’t have the greatest view, but it was very quiet. We could never hear the people adjacent to or above us. I would definitely stay here again

The standard double was considerably nicer than the beach wing room. What really lets this place down is the food. Breakfast was fine as it’s standard continental, lunch was hit and miss but normally ok

Why hotel is not stepping in to rule this, that you cant reserve sunbeds for whole day without being in those? Good value and hotel otherwise has all you need

We have had such a wonderful holidays experience at this charming and central hotel in Agia Marina. The rooms (101 and 102) were super clean, nice and well equipped

There are critical reviews of this hotel out there but they say more about the writer than the hotel. Yes it is 850 metres from the beach but that information is clearly stated. The price reflects that as well

The hotel itself has a nice big swimming pool and children’s pool. The pool bar has a good selection of meals/snacks and drinks and unlike another reviewer we had no issues with the music. Teddy Swims, Lewis Capaldi etc

We have been to this hotel eight times and once again we had a wonderful time. The hotel is a small family run hotel. Nothing is to much trouble for the staff they are warm welcoming and friendly

We stayed at Dore Hotel For a week on 10th of July. We had such a lovely relaxing Week as needed. The most important thing about this hotel was the people. Everyone was so accommodating , hard working and professional

We never do all inclusive but chose this option. The food was all very good quality and we really enjoyed looking to see what was on offer at meal times. We don’t have any restrictions and will try things so we are lucky

I particularly enjoyed watching the aqua dancing and Pedro the instructor was so much fun. I never join in but did and really enjoyed it. We didn’t use the bus but getting a taxi was easy and quite cheap

The beach is across the street but accessible but my wife and I prefer the pools with our 5 yr old daughter who loves to swim. The breakfast buffet was among the best we've had

It’s in easy reach of the beach 3 min walk, shops restaurants, and the bus stop to china is outside, we found the bus service very unreliable (we waited 1hr 15mins) having got there at 8 to get into Chania early before the crowds

Nice and quiet! Friendly staff! Great view over the ocean, and a really nice pool for the times when you don't wanna go to the beach! The rooms are equipped with a nice bed, mattress is hard and comfortable! Only one pillow

This small, well designed hotel is ideally located and suited us down to the ground. The staff are so friendly and hard working and nothing is too much trouble for them

The previous review that says you have to make your own bed is absolutely not true. Beds are made and towels changed every day apart from Sunday

Bedding is changed on Saturday but the maids leave it neatly folded at the foot of the bed ready to use that night

Shower was great when we had hot water, which was intermittent, apparently that’s normal for the area. It’s genuinely at the top end of a 2/3 star hotel rating. Staff are wonderful, really friendly and helpful

Location is superb, 4 or 5 truly wonderful restaurants on your doorstep in a quiet, beautiful little area, and you’re 5 mins stroll to the beach

The main road is awash with restaurants, tavernas and bars overlooking the sea. Regular buses, 5 mins away, go into Chania

4 or 5 types of bread and 3 types of breadsticks. Great job!!! Excellent decision. In the new wing, the rooms, which are actually apartments, are very nice and tastefully furnished

We had such a wonderful holiday here! The staff are very friendly and the apartments were cleaned to a high standard 6 days a week

We had a late arriving flight and when we got there there were plates of fresh food and bottled water waiting for us. The food and drink choice is great for adults and kids in the all inclusive package

Negatives- the female lifeguard who was on duty all week takes her job very serious and is the most observant lifeguard I've seen on holiday to keep the kids safe- this was appreciated however at times she creates a tense atmosphere as she blows her whilst a lot and yells at people from the top of the podium

The rooms had a king size beds and a living room with a sofa and water kettle and a coffee machine with coffee capsules and a good size fridge

The rooms were cleaned daily, with new towels, the bedding were changed every other day. The whole staff are very friendly and goes above and beyond to make your stay as pleasant as possible

If I was to have one slight negative it would be the room we were given (130) which was right at the back of the grounds. Not much storage other than the wardrobe with x10 hangers

Elena who workes in the reception accomined us to our room and WHAT a beautiful room on the upper level in the newly renovated section of the hotel, see pictures

Owner/General Maganger Dimitris came to greet us and welcomed us home, we feel like family. We stayed in two rooms during our 2 weeks stay beyond our control

We were bed & breakfast and found enough each morning to satisfy us. The top pool is probably the better of the two with the bar staff being great

We ate lunch twice, and I can highly recommend the Gyros Plate! We only ate breakfast once, but the choice was good and the quality excellent, we just aren’t big breakfast people

The morning buffet breakfast selection is excellent albeit, personally, we prefer to opt out and have a larger lunch and evening meal, There is a Folia Lunch Menu and Bar Drinks around the pool, terrace and raised dining room

The beach had plenty of bars with sun loungers and parasols which you can rent and the ones we went to provided a voucher to the value of the rent and you can order drinks/food the cost of which is discounted against the voucher, which negates the cost of the sun loungers

A stroll around the back streets near the harbour is a must with all their traditional small shops, bars and restaurants and it’s easy to get lost there although the other side of the harbour is now becoming quite young and trendy

We have stayed at Folia Hotel & Apartments in Agia Marina several times now since our first visit in 2014. It’s the only holiday resort we’ve ever really returned to and we’ve now been there about 8 times

Folia Hotel has become our home from home. It is a traditional Greek Hotel run for many years by the same family, Giannis Milonakis and his brother, Nikos, whom have become our true friends
