We had a room at the front of the hotel with a small balcony looking out to the sea. There was a small clothsline on the balcony (with pegs!), which was great for drying swimming gear

We are just back from a 4 night stay in this wonderful hotel in Palechorla and would gladly go back again any time! The hotel is a few minutes walk out from the centre of Palechora, and is nice and quiet at night

Decorated with great taste, clean, comfortable, breakfast with fresh products and variety of tastes. The people are very polite and helpful. A unique part of the hotel is the rock garden full of works of art

The staff are amazing and incredibly helpful, the rooms are small but have everything you need, there is a small beach just across the street and it is just a short walk into beautiful Paleochora

Furthermore, the staff members were incredibly friendly and always willing to assist with any needs. I wholeheartedly recommend considering this place for a pleasant and memorable stay

The rooms are very comfortable, with everything you could need. As others have mentioned the breakfast was excellent with a mixture of continental and Greek foods

Located by the beach and only a short walk from the town centre, the Relax Hotel excels in offering a fabulously clean and comfortable stay. Georgia, on reception, was super friendly and full of useful advice

The Relax Hotel rooms were spacious and had nice views from the balcony. The hotel is well managed by Olga, who also oversees the car and cycle rentals. Olga as a lovely relationship with her staff

He was very polite and very friendly! They have very good breakfast, it is located close to the center however the big shout out goes to the housekeeping team as the rooms and the common areas are extremely clean

Lovely hotel, great staff. We chose the family room on the ground floor, though we were only two persons. The extra space was lovely.

The room was clean, but the the shower curtain was too short to keep the water in the tiny shower. The bathroom floor would pool with A LOT of water every time the shower was used which made the bathroom nasty

Breakfasts were super, loads of choice of hot and cold food and again the staff were excellent keeping everything well replenished. The swimming pool is lovely and nice to return to after a day exploring or on the beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Libyan Princess. We have stayed several times and always received a warm welcome. As this was our honeymoon, we upgraded to the Executive Suite, a lovely room with private balcony

We loved our our second stay here. We enjoyed the spacious room, beautiful pool, and delicious breakfast. Excellent service from the front desk to the breakfast room. We will look forward to returning one day again!

It is great that the hotel is situated to the end of town away from the noisier centre, making for a quiet night’s sleep. When we return to Paleochora we will definitely stay at the Libyan Princess again

The room was spacious with loads of storage (possibly one of the best set up rooms we have stayed in). Again everywhere was spotless, the bathroom was large with a shower over the bath

We came here last year and this year. What a friendly family run hotel. It is absolutely squeaky clean, spotless. Breakfast is great, air conditioning. Very comfortable with mini fridge, hot showers. We love it here.

It’s located a little far from paleiochora , you definitely need to rent a car , cuz there is not a bus station near the hotel. Breakfast and personal are good

They don’t have wash machine you need to go to city for laundry

(you'd better get up early, for this not one to miss) And right after, accompanied by the imposing olive tree, a hearthy breakfast to set you on your way with farewells from staff that genuinely grasps the meaning...

Nice location easy parking, rooms a little bit tiny but spotless and cleaned daily, staff friendly, kind and attentive with a smile and breakfast not imaginstive but good sure we'll come back

We stayed four nights at these apartments. They're in a wonderful location, just across from the sandy beach. Free use of the sundowners was an extra bonus. Very friendly welcome and lovely and clean

It's also a 10/15min walk from down town, which abounds with restaurant choices (I recommend Metheksis, a little removed from the crowds) and which is where the harbour and ferry port is found

The staff is more than just helpful, they are genuinely friendly and made us feel so welcome. The room is charming, and the coffee and drinks are a very pleasant surprise

We did walking trips in the neighborhood and to the Anidri gorge. To Elafonissi we used our car and 70 minutes later we had been at 10 am at the beach belonging to one of the early bird’s before the buses arrived

And the location is hard to beat, your feet are in sand with a walk across the street. This place is truly so lovely, it’s made my partner and I want to come here as a regular vacation for the rest of our lives

We had a wonderful stay at Sapphire Blue Suites & Sapphire Horizon Suites. Perfectly located in Kissamos, it was a peaceful escape from the busy crowds of Chania while still being close to some of Crete’s best beaches

The wonderful ladies working at the hotel greeted us so kindly, each and every day, and truly went above and beyond in their service. In order to truly explore beyond Kissamos, you definitely need a car

Great place after a disgusting disaster at Balos Beach Hotel. Sapphire had wonderful staff and big apartments with huge balconies and water views. very comfortable beds and a washer in the apartment

The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the hospitality made us feel right at home. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay on the west side of the island

What a place! Wonderful host, friendly and very helpful. The apartment is great, as it has a beautiful view and the location in near to the beaches all of you are going to visit, but also near to shops and bakeries

The real highlight is the breakfast: rich and varied, with both sweet and savory options. On request, they also offer gluten-free choices, with great attention to all dietary needs and food intolerances

Don’t believe all the bad reviews. The apartments were clean and looked better than in the pictures. Host was helpful, perfect for a one night budget stay. Our room had a spacious balcony with sea view.

The breakfast was good, the coffee excellent, the parrot was so beautiful and the lady turkey with her chick were a bless, the garden is also a dream and the view was one of millions!!!!

Friendly family operated hotel. Extra 5 euro for air con so on a strict budget it gets pretty hot in the rooms. Considering the price, it was a more than adequate stay for a night or two in kissamos

My stay at the Mirtilos studios was nothing other than fantastic!! From booking with them directly (excellent email communication) to arranging the airport transfer was seamless

The location is very central, close to a good range of restaurants and bars and the beach is a 10 minute walk away for anyone who doesn’t have a car. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending a stay here - first class in my eyes

On arrival (late night), there was clear communication to check into our room. The rooms are very clean and spacious, showers are amazing and the beds are very comfortable

Our room had a small kitchen hidden in a cabinet with a stove, fridge, and sink, which we used often and highly recommend. Book a seaside view if you can, it’s worth it

Breakfast at the hotel was nice, but at €12,50 per person we preferred to use the kitchen or pick up fresh pastries from a bakery just six minutes away, and enjoy them on our balcony with the sea view

The pool, set between two buildings, was sheltered from the wind, though a bit cold in the mornings since it was shaded

Beach is always empty, even during high season, so you have private beach! Water is warm, nice not to big waves. 1-2m stones and later perfect sand. This is family hotel, staff is so nice and friendly

Always available for every need, we appreciated their kindness, even to welcome you every night to simply say "Good night". The apartments are fully equipped and the beach is really 10 meters away

We usually had breakfast on the beach using tables offered by the owners. The position is perfect to visit all the most beautiful beaches in the west part of the island

Marinakis family are realy nice people, Stella the mother, who rans the hotel together with Manolis, her son, who is an historion and archiologist, they are never tired to take care and advise about the area, things to do and give visitors a great feeling of a wonderfull vacation

Don't worry amenity lovers, it has AC and even a kitchenette, although I hesitate to call it that because it was really a whole kitchen, minus maybe a dishwasher, and smaller

Let's start with the owners: Manolis and his mother Stella are really lovely and fantastic people and they do all it's possible to make your holiday relaxing

A shared pool is available if you prefer to relax away from the seaside. The property is starting to show its age and would benefit from some light renovations, ideally done soon to prevent future issues

She has been a wonderful host during our entire stay and we appreciated very much her advices & tips about the region. There are a few very good places to eat within walking distance, including a taverna with fresh fish

We had a great time at the terrace on the beach, where you can have very good breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as snacks and drinks all day, You need a car to go to the nearest supermarket and shops

From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home – and that was largely thanks to our amazing host, Nikos. Nikos went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable

What a superb place to stay, right from the start we received a lovely welcome from Aramela who quickly sent us her what’s app address and sent links to recommendations of restaurants, supermarkets and beaches that were so useful

The people who run the hotel are absolutely wonderful very attentive And willing to help with just about anything, but you will need a vehicle if you’re planning to eat or prepare food in your kitchen because the hotel has very limited offerings outside of breakfast

we stayed for a week and had a really great time but I wish the room had proper beds for four people two parents and two children and that air conditioning was available in both rooms

The air conditioning was insufficient for four people in a room and it turns off as soon as you leave the hotel room because the key Deactivates or activates the air conditioning

This is my second time at the villa. My family love the food, staff, and the area.Just all around top notch service anf facilities.

Also the pool at the villa wasn’t ready (on and cleaned) on the Saturday we arrived, wasn’t sorted until we said something on the Monday

We chose not to hire a car but it was only €8 to Kolymvari where there was a nice assortment of bars and restaurants on the seafront. We ate at the hotel and also the 2 other local restaurants in Spilia too

That being said, it still gets an easy 5 stars as a holiday and although we like to explore, at least we know if we return to Spilia village again we can feel sure we’re in for a relaxing holiday with great staff who truly are a credit to the hotel

The hotel is located in Kolymvari, which is around 60 minutes by bus to Chania and 15 minutes to Platania (where you can find good and cheap restaurants) Over all, it was a very good stay, and we would go there again:)

Family hotel, in an excellent position to visit the most beautiful beaches by renting a car. Super breakfast, comfortable room, clean and complete with everything you need

The bartender was also really good, and sweet. The breakfast was fine, it could be better, but it was still good (they had a shocking good lemonade)

Small pool area but always a free sunbed. Not very silent in the rooms and close to the main Road (noice). Breakfast is not amazing, not bad. Amazing staff that are helpfull. And only 15min walk to a lot of restaurants

It's an old hotel but the service is good. rooms cleaning every dag and the breakfast is very good. The location of the hotel is so and so coz its not near to the beach. it takes about 15 min to go to the beach

You can enjoy great cocktails until 1am, and no rubbish brands. It was really sad to leave, but this will definitely be our choice of place whenever we’re back in Crete!

The hotel is something out of the “White Lotus” series; fantastic pools, right in front of the sea, great restaurants, and best of all; amazing staff. Everyone is sooooo friendly that you literally feel like hugging them

Feel rather disappointed that we were sold this holiday as a 5 star hotel never in this world is it!! I have been in better 4 star hotels than this

They went over and above providing me with ice daily for my foot, showing us the best wheelchair route to the sea, and so much more. They must have been exhausted end of season but never showed it

Great choice of pools-main one was busy with shallower to deeper end, small baby pool next to main pool, splash pool with toddler slides and water sprays, main waterpark/slides which came into pool and then at the opposite end of hotel was a gorgeous pool that felt very exclusive with a self service snacks fridge and soft drinks machine

Very beautiful hotel with polite service. Food are very delicious but the only downside was its repetition. Swimming pool and slides are very funny. Animators complemented each day with cool attractions

But it was easy taking the local bus to Chania, Agia Marina or Platanias to visit tourist stores and places. The local bus whent every 20 minutes. The resort was nice and it had much of what you could ask for

We had the all inclusive, don't know if there was any other option at this hotel. There were plenty of food options to use from, salads, starters, main course and desserts. Service was good and friendly

Hotel consisted of several two story apartment buildings with plenty of rooms in every building. The atmosphere at resort was nice, much flowers, plants and trees. Rooms were nice, we had two rooms

There was a bar and a small grill at the pool were refreshments could be gotten. Snacks, french fries, burgers etc. and later in the evening cocktails. The personal was friendly and helpful

The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and spacious, and the rooms with private pools are simply luxurious! A few minor downsides: to reach the beach, you have to cross the road, and sunbeds are available only on the hotel grounds

The sea is right behind the main pool. In between there is a small street. Fortunately, this is not very busy, so it does not bother you. At the moment there are only a few holidaymakers in the hotel

We stayed at Galini Palace Hotel — overall, it’s a great option for a relaxing vacation. The staff are very friendly, always ready to help and accommodate guests

But there was a team who was not bothering us checking the sign on the door if we are in or out and visiting when we were away. They should take care more of their sea side front

Room cleaning was done regularly, and towels were changed every day. The food was varied, with a beautiful buffet-style presentation — there’s something for every taste

It was also not possible to extend the stay for a few extra hours — check-in is strictly at 2:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM

Really nice hotel which was let down by management deciding to start shutting down the resort for the end of season half way through our stay

Unfortunately, the temperature was relatively low in early May and there was a strong wind. Although the outdoor swimming pool was beautiful, it was not very swimmable

The rooms are amazing, the staff upgraded us and we had our own plunge pool which was a nice bonus. The spa facilities are brilliant and the massages are amazing. Will definitely be staying here again

Ten minute stroll from a lovely beach & a handful of tavernas along the beach, ten minutes stroll from the village centre with a super market for all your provisions, a bakery and a few more tavernas & a couple of grill bars

Hotel staff are very friendly and very helpful nothing was too much trouble , we only had to ask once ( ie- for a kettle and extra bedding) and it was sorted straight away

The staff at Aphea Village were excellent. Nothing was to much for them to do for us. From reception to bar staff - they were amazing

Rooms were cleaned everyday with new towels and bedding except Sundays but they still emptied our bins and if you asked them they would get new towels or bedding for you , The pool bar run by kostas and loanna was amazing , can’t thank them enough for their service and how they make everyone soo welcome , once again nothing was too much trouble and certainly know how to look after there customers...

The whole staff was very nice. The hotel is close to the city and the airport. There is a direct connection to the beach and a supermarket very close by. The owner was very nice to us and helped us a lot

No children's pool so more suited to adults and older children who can swim, but there is a playing corner in the garden for small children. Kitchen with microwave and cooker

We have just had a 10 day holiday here, (23rd September-3rd October),and really enjoyed our stay, despite badly spraining my ankle on the fifth day!! The staff are all lovely and Katerina on reception was extremely helpful and kind after my accident

Staff friendly and very helpful. Shower room was dark as it had floor and up to ceiling modern charcoal colored tiles, still dark with light on! All areas very clean with well maintained pool

I was given ice packs and a bandage, and she even put it on for me. She helped with local information and organised car hire

We were all-inclusive, never had to queue or wait for a table at meal times. So good, we've booked to go back next year

On arrival we were shown to our room which was not the sea front suite that we had paid for!! On complaining we were told that it would be ready the next day which of course was totally unacceptable

Andreas the bar man is fantastic always welcoming in fairness all the staff are but he stood out from the rest. Loads of pools to chose from we had a swim up room and hardly used it because the sea is so calm

The sunrises are spectacular and we were lucky to see a few baby turtles finding their way to the sea early in the morning

Whilst there my mother in law slipped (yes they came on honeymoon only because we brought our wedding day forward a year 😂) the hotel was great with sorting doctors and getting her seen quickly staff were very attentive

We arrived early hours of the morning. It was our honeymoon and when we got to the room they had decorated the door with a bow champagne and a love heart cake which was lovely. Food was amazing always something to eat

He offered us an upgrade on our board which financially didn't really benefit us. We had to accept the situation as we had no choice. 45 and the move to it was smooth

The Hotel has been completely renovated and this was evident in the cool, modern and minimalistic rooms. The Queen bed was huge & very comfortable. Ample plugs and charging sockets - perfect for my teenager

We have just booked to come again in 2026 which will be around our 18th holiday to this hotel. We have always loved coming here. The changes that have been made over the last few years are huge

Our favourite was the white party disco. Although the location is remote and there isn’t a lot to do in the local area the hotel is big enough without feeling trapped. We would definitely visit again

We couldn’t really try the Greek restaurant because it was fully booked three days in advance. The Asian restaurant was just okay — the service was excellent, but the food options were a bit limited

The team at the Greek restaurant helped surprise my husband with a birthday cake on our first night too. My sons loved the water slides and pool and the evening entertainment was fun
