An amazing stay! The place is well located, in a quiet area away from the busy town, but right across from a bus stop that can take you to Chania centre for €3.20 (very convenient). The hotel is something out of the “White Lotus” series; fantastic pools, right in front of the sea, great restaurants, and best of all; amazing staff. Everyone is sooooo friendly that you literally feel like hugging them. You can enjoy great cocktails until 1am, and no rubbish brands. It was really sad to leave, but this will definitely be our choice of place whenever we’re back in Crete!

We have just spent a week at Cavo Spada and we absolutely loved it! We arrived very late at night and were given bottles of water and there were fresh snacks in our room.

The room was fantastic. Spacious, clean, big balcony overlooking the sea and the mountains and the bathroom is enormous with a bath and shower cubicle.

We were All Inclusive and the food was delicious. I am a vegetarian and the choice was excellent. So many options plus the deserts were amazing. I have to mention the Banana Bread available at breakfast. The best I’ve ever eaten. I’m missing it already!

The beach is stones/pebbles as pointed out in the hotel’s description but we didn’t care. The views are stunning. Mountains and clear sea. So many sunbeds around the pool and on the beach. Plenty for everyone.

Every staff member we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Reception, housekeeping, restaurant, bars. Honestly, an amazing team.

In the evenings there was live music, Greek dancers, a saxophonist, a violinist. Otherwise just a lovely chilled vibe in the main bar.

We took the bus into Chania twice and once into Kolymvari. The buses are frequent, cheap and the bus stop is less than five minutes from the hotel.

We wanted to stay longer at Cavo Spada and we recommend it highly if you want to relax and receive excellent customer service.

Thank you everyone at the hotel for a wonderful holiday.

Feel rather disappointed that we were sold this holiday as a 5 star hotel never in this world is it!! I have been in better 4 star hotels than this. Our Bedroom although big was very dark and extremely tired The bathroom was in need of attention black mould around the bath and shower, there was a leak from the shower that ran by the toilet Hotel was full of Lycra clad Swedish/Danish who were loud and seemed to take over the restaurant and the pool area! As one group left another group arrived. Garden area near the pool was a little unkept needed attention there seemed to be a leak on one area of the garden near the restaurant which was getting muddy Snack bar other than fruit food was awful Food was average not 5 star! In fact it became very repetitive !!Breakfast same every morning, Evening meal very little fish. Meat that was cooked while you wait was as tough as old boots! Saving grace was salad. Although there was suppose to be a dress code for the restaurant this was never implemented, literally any thing goes - not what I would expect from a 5 star hotel

Im a bit late writing this as we stayed in October but just wanted to again thank all the wonderful staff at this hotel for your kindness and care during our holiday. Day 2 my holiday changed drastically as I had an awful fall out in Chania and ended up in a wheelchair for the rest of the week as couldn’t walk! I am usually very active so this was so upsetting however the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and lovely. They went over and above providing me with ice daily for my foot, showing us the best wheelchair route to the sea, and so much more. They must have been exhausted end of season but never showed it. The restaurant manager was fantastic too. We admired him greatly! The food was delicious, really varied and plenty of choice for me even though I have to eat gluten free. Again staff were so helpful with this and everything clearly labelled. The sea and beach was beautiful. Stunning views and most days flat and calm. Plenty of sunbeds. The evening entertainment was great wonderful solo violin player one evening, greek dancing, and a fun disco another night. Luckily I was able to Greek dance the night before my fall and had great fun! We don’t usually bother but the lounge had a lovely evening atmosphere we stayed down after our meal every night. It was tasteful not cringe! The hotel was spotlessly clean, all staff friendly and so hardworking. We loved our choice of hotel. They made a horrible situation with my injury (still not recovered yet!!) more than comfortable and so well looked after. Chania is a must visit but mind your step!!! Dont fall on the cobbles!

What a lovely and relaxing place to stay. There is nothing much around and that makes it peaceful. The hotel staff are so helpful and friendly. Customer service is their highest priority. We had a room where you could walk out to the main pool and this was fabulous. We could also see the beach from our terrace. Pool bar excellent and pool area only had 40 minutes when Aqua aerobics was on. The rest of the time it was quiet. Restaurant food was good and staff attentive. We had a delicious a la carte one night which was a lovely experience. I only have one small constructive comment that the spa could do with a lick of paint in the room I had my nails done. Staff there were also super. We would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic training center and luxury hotel. Rooms are spacious and nicely furnished. You either have a huge balcony or a terrace. The restaurant has a buffet style breakfast/lunch/dinner with excellent dishes. There are also an a la carte restaurants and a pool bar.
Service is friendly and quick. Downstairs is a gym. There's also a warm water swimming pool, a yacussi, a spa and a tiny shop. The beach is cobblestones, no sand, but two big outdoors swimming pools will refresh you. Yes this is relaxed luxury.

A very nice hotel with excellent service. The food was great, and so was the staff. Mr. Antonis and his team (especially Myrto) were superb. The service at the bars was also very helpful and fast, with good service. Stefano and Anastasia were especially special. Special thanks to the manager. I'm in a wheelchair, and this dedicated person worked hard to make my stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. He was truly a friend, not a manager. In short, a super stay. We'll definitely be back.

An ideal place for couples over 40. When rating the hotel on a five-star scale, I'd like to highlight several points. Hotel: 5 – this isn't a typical "behemoth," but a cozy hotel. Cuisine: 5 wonderful dishes, soups, fish, seafood, cakes, freshly squeezed juices, salads, desserts – a very high culinary standard. Shrimp with vegetables and a creamy dill sauce is a delight – hats off to the chef. Service: 5 people at the reception, the very helpful Mrs. Voula, the establishment manager, a charismatic man who cares about the order and safety of guests, the waitresses and waiters will take care of you as soon as you appear in the restaurant. A big bow to the ladies, the housekeeping staff, cleaning on the fly, wearing face masks. I admire and sympathize – tips are included. There are 5 rooms, of course, in my opinion (since I stayed in room #210). They offer a view of the sea, the main pool, and the city in the distance. Cleanliness is as above, and the rooms were cleaned daily, plus towels were changed. The pool bar is a super duo of 5, Paco and Stefano. The beach (it's harder to pinpoint a number here) is fine for me; it's pebbles, not sand, but the sound of their crashing waves combined with the sound of the sea relaxes the ears. Of course, the free sun loungers, the beautiful color of the sea, and the sunsets beyond the hill make for great after-dinner strolls. I highly recommend it.
