Kamares Boutique Hotel & Spa in Ioannina

I selected the Kamares hotel based on the photos – it looked so good, classic and tasteful. When we arrived it was better than I had expected. The car park directly opposite was very handy. The place was beautiful, and the staff so friendly and helpful. They really were good. The rooms we had were very special, quirky in a good way, beautiful and comfortable. The location was excellent. In the attractive old town, a short walk from the buzzy old centre and restaurants, and the lake close by. A beautiful hotel, wonderful staff and great location.

We booked this hotel months prior and couldn’t wait to stay. We were not disappointed- they upgraded us to a larger suite room- we lived the hotel which the house was around 200 years old and remodeled. The hotel rooms were more Turkish inspired and we had a lot of room. We were given baklava as a nighttime treat on each nightstand. We loved the spa as well which we thought was very reasonable. The hotel is located in the old town centro area- walking distance and they helped with luggage as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Their breakfast looked good but we didn’t try it. They had parking which was a plus additionally.

A lovely boutique hotel. Check in & check out was efficient. Room is nicely decorated, neat & clean. Bed & pillows are comfortable. Provided hand wash, lotion, dental kits, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner. Breakfast per person 15 euro. Good breakfast plenty of foods. Complementary Parking is in front of the hotel in a garage. Hotel Location is very convenient. Staffs are very helpful & speak English. We liked the hotel & I recommend this hotel.

This hotel was an experience! The atmosphere was very interesting and unique. It is in the centre of the city and we were amazed of the decoration. There were some pitfalls though but the whole hotel was different of anything else you have seen before. I strongly recommend it at least to be visited once!!!

From the day of my arrival where I was surprised with an upgrade in my room till my departure, I have nothing negative to add. From the location which is 3 minutes’ walk from the Ioannina Castle to the central Market to the actual Hotel which is considered a historical monument of the city. The professionalism and warmth of the staff and the owner’s as well to meet my every need, the spotless clean rooms, the parking nearby the welcome treats in the room. The Hotel is a real Jem for the City of Ioannina. It depicts the love and work of the owners. The decoration and the attention to every detail that travels you back into another era is unique. It exceeded my expectations. I will revisit and recommend this Hotel or any of the other two “Archontariki” and “Stoes” that belong to this group and display the same feeling and services. The Stoes have also an exceptional restaurant and all are centrally located! So comfortable!

We had a wonderful 3-night stay and loved the charm and intimacy of this historic property. Elina and her team were extremely pleasant and accommodating. Location was ideal to all sites and parking was convenient ...would definitely return!

My husband and I took a break from our regular Greek trip routine to visit a friend in Ioannina, a beautiful town further north than Athens. There are lots of trees there so many homes have wood elements! We stayed at Kamares Hotel in the middle of town by their lake! It is exceptional. A historic building, it captures the feeling of the ottoman occupation in that the Turks use our Byzantine artistic traditions when designing their buildings. This hotel has genuine antiques including articles of clothing, jewelry and decore relating to that time. The service was genuine and professional. Highly recommend! Please ask for Maria!

The hotel looks simply stellar in an old town house very close to the city center. Parking is possible directly opposite the hotel. Beautiful appointed room, immaculate clean, comfy bed - great friendly staff. Breakfast was good, too. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful hotel. Both the room and the public areas are decorated with a nod to Byzantine heritage but with style and thoughtfulness. Our room had a powerful shower, mini bar with complimentary items and Nespresso machine. The breakfast offering also included a cooked to order selection. The staff were all so helpful and lovely, making the whole experience. Please book this hotel if you are in Ioannina- it's a gem.

Excellent choice in prime location at the old town of Ioannina. Tiny boutique hotel with personalized attention, super friendly and kind staff, with special retro vintage-style decoration. Very rich and assorted buffet breakfast, with special attention for gluten-free diet. Very affordable prices which represent very good value for money. Be advised that the attic room is less spacious and the Wifi connection is weaker here. Apart from that, absolutely recommended.
