Great place, with a good view of the sunset and sunrise. Also very friendly staff that helped with any concerns we had like places to visit and transport.
The location although is at the very top of the hill, it was worth it as its located right next to chora.
Overall id highly recommend this hotel.

We chose Sunrise Hotel for our stay in Ios last year .
The room was very clean throughout our stay.
The personnel was very helpful.
The location is excellent, since it's located only just 2 minutes from the centre of Ios. They have a van which transfered us from and to the port.
The view was magnificent!
Definitely was a very good choice and recommend it to anyone who wants a value for money accommodation; we'll choose it again if we ever visit Ios again!

Absolutely unacceptable, I got physically detained by hotel staff

I had a deeply disturbing and unacceptable experience at this hotel. One of the hotel staff physically detained me without any legal authority to do so. This individual is not a police officer or law enforcement official, yet chose to restrain me as if they had such powers.This is a serious violation of my personal freedom and rights. No guest should ever be subjected to such treatment in what is supposed to be a safe and professional hospitality environment. I am shocked and disappointed that a hotel would allow such behavior from their staff. I strongly advise others to reconsider staying here until they address this serious breach of conduct. Safety and respect for guests should be a top priority. Unfortunately, this hotel failed on both fronts.

I am writing this review while enjoying the last moments in the pool before leaving. We spent five FABULOUS days in Ios and especially in this hotel. We opted for a deluxe room that overlooked the chora, it had 2 rooms with two double beds and a cot so it was approved for more than 2 people. Greek style rooms a bit "spartan" but we only used it to sleep and wash, the only flaw was that the air conditioning was leaking but they immediately fixed it. Bar area with beautiful pool every now and then they came back early from the sea and we used the pool always ventilated it was divine. The staff then fantastic, kind and friendly girls work there. You eat well and the prices are normal, we also had breakfast included it is not a buffet and every morning they brought us a plate with eggs ham cheese toast pancakes Nutella and honey and it was done at 10 so you had all the time to wake up comfortably. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel, we had a great time and the room with a view of the chora made everything even more beautiful.

We named this the Ios dungeon! And boy it was hell. Basically a hostel for the roughest people ever! First the room had the smallest hardest single beds! The bathroom was so dark you couldn’t see a thing and a rotten shower curtain! There were eyelashes on the floor, no cups at all in the room, and the hallway stunk of stale cigarettes! Also the cleaner on 2 occasions left the balcony door unlocked and wide open one time, which someone could have easily jumped up into!! Don’t stay here please unless you want to get awoken at 12am by yobs in the hallway for half an hour! Only good thing is you get a transfer from the port and back. The driver was lovely!

It's a hostel, so expect basic.
Beds comfortable enough, clean, showers work. Pool and bar have a comfortable vibe.
Located near supermarkets and restaurants/ cafes. The "clubbing hill" is close enough to walk, but further enough away to get to sleep if you don't want to party until 8am.

Staff were great, pool was wonderful, can’t speak to the cleanliness as we were moved to a different hotel due to damage from previous guests the night before.
Very loud party area. Do not book if you want to be able to sleep at night. Average age of guest appeared to be 20 years of age. Noise went into the night with most people going out past midnight and getting home at 6am. However if a party is what you want, this place is great. Also a good location for town.

Beautiful balcony view and convenient location
Great location, close to the beach, supermarket and convenient for where we needed to stay to celebrate our friends wedding at Club Ios. Friendly staff and shuttle bus transfer avaiable. Mostly a younger generation staying at the hotel but didn't affect our one night stay. Tidy clean rooms and probably and beautiful view.

Didn't get a room with balcony as we had reserved (said that there is a problem with Booking). It was fine for us 'cause we stayed only one night. The service was lovely and efficient. Beautiful view from the pool. Good location near the "center", although a little walk up the hill. Had a free transfer from and to the port! Not maybe our place 'cause there was a lot of partying people making noise in the middle of the night, but I guess that's a thing all over Ios.. :)

Brilliant hotel with large rooms and amazing balcony views! Value for money, basic accommodation but clean and spacious. Fab location for bus stop, town centre and port.
