Hotel Philip in Pylos

We thought it the best hotel accommodation in Pylos! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this welcoming, well maintained and high standard accommodation on the outskirts of a thriving seaside location. The manageress was especially friendly and helpful. Lovely evening meal in a beautiful setting. Beware - the road adjacent to the hotel does get busy but this did not detract from our stay/experience (nothing the owners can do about this!).

We had 2 overnights at the beginning of Sept 2025. The location is great, pool is amazing with perfect view. We do recommend you to had lunch or diner - all dishes are are very tasty Special compliments to Sofia! Regards from Sunny Beach / Bulgaria

From the moment we arrived, we knew we'd picked the perfect place. A warm welcome, a beautiful room with a very comfortable bed and a huge balcony looking right over the Bay. And an amazingly good lunch on the terrace - exactly what we needed after a long journey and little sleep. We could easily have spent our days idling happily on our terrace drinking in the view But instead, after huge delicious breakfasts, we pushed ourselves to go out to the delightful little town of Pylos, its terrific Archaelogical Museum, the Nestors Palace Site and the beach at Gialova. It was simply THE perfect base - and each evening we came back and had really good meals on the hotel's perfect restaurant terrace We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice and would go back in a heartbeat.

First time we stayed at hotel philip as we visit pylos twice a year. Excellent hotel fantastic view and super clean. Breakfast was very good also included in price. I definitely recommend this hotel and will be back soon. Thank you for an unforgettable stay.

Being on the highest point in Pylos the view from our balcony was magnificent. Sunset was spectacular. The upgraded room was spacious and quiet. The meal and breakfast at the sister restaurant were both appetising and enjoyable.

A lovely, clean hotel with a terrace and pool. But the best thing was the stupendous view of Navarino Bay from the room and balcony. The breakfast was very good and we ate in the restaurant a couple of times.

Before the Battle of Navarino in 1827 a unified Greek state was just an idea. After the battle, it was a reality. When the gunfire died away the British, French and Russian navies had inflicted a decisive defeat on the Ottomans, and modern Greece emerged in the ensuing years as a truly independent country. Perched high on a cliff, Hotel Philip overlooks the remarkable beauty of Navarino Bay where yachts and fishing boats have long replaced the warships. The views (from rooms and balconies, the outdoor dining area or the indoor dining room) are exceptional and a source of interest day and night. Our studio had a separate bedroom and sitting area plus a kitchenette. Breakfast (full service) was generous and both lunch and dinner are available - nearby Pylos offers more dining options though it's a steep walk back up from the town. The hotel makes a great base to explore the many attractions of the western Peloponnese, though with beaches, boat hire and history ancient and modern on the doorstep there's no need to stray far. Very friendly staff made us thoroughly at home - this is a very good hotel in a truly outstanding location. We'll be back.

Lovely position overlooking the village. Comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast, not to mention the great sunset.

Really well placed hotel if you don't want to be in the middle of town. You get great sea views, a pleasant walk down to the tavernas and an excellent breakfast. Large rooms with self catering facilities too. On a main road but in mid-May this was no problem, but parents would not want to let their children cross alone due to the bend the hotel is on.
