Hotel Heleni Beach in Ialyssos

I got a room at Heleni Beach Hotel for a very cheap price, and this is my review after spending a week there. This is not a 5-star luxury hotel, so my review is based on the price–quality ratio and what I got for my money.

I have stayed in fancier hotels in the past, but I don’t think there was anything seriously wrong with this one. Yes, the rooms were dated and a bit worn down, but still comfortable enough, and the room service worked every day to keep them clean.

The pool area is nice and clean, and there is a pool bar where you can get refreshments on a hot day. I guess it could get crowded if many guests were there at the same time, but during my stay that never happened. Usually, there were only a few people including myself, so it was quiet and relaxing.

Breakfast was included in the room price. Again, I’ve had better and more varied hotel breakfasts in the past, but I always found enough to eat every morning, so there was nothing really wrong with it either. The hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant, but since there are probably 20 restaurants within 200 meters, I didn’t find that to be a problem.

Which brings me to the location of the hotel, which I also liked. If you don’t want to stay at the pool area, the beach is only about a 100-meter walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants, shops, and cafés within walking distance.

The staff of the hotel were also very friendly.

Overall, I enjoyed my stay here, and considering the price, I don’t think the 2-star rating from the travel agency does it justice. Still, since the hotel is a little worn down, I can’t give it a full 5 stars either, so I’ll give it a solid 4/5.

Rooms are good, and can easily hold the amount of people they're meant for. Though the rooms aren't anything special, they do come with a mini fridge, air conditioning and a good terrace. The breakfast is nothing special, but it gets the job done. The hotel is also at a nice spot, surrounded by multiple shops and restaurants, and the taxi isn't too far off

Lovely hotel a couple of meters from the beach. Rooms are simple and clean and the balconies make for a relaxing atmosphere. Couldn't have wished for anything better!

Good value for money. Helpful and nice employees. Very simple rooms, but clean. Very good balcony's on rooms facing the street. Excellent location 2 mins from the beach and close to restaurants and shops. Pay extra for air-condition. Simple but ok breakfast. Coffee at breakfast sucks, but only 1 min to walk to "the cakebox" where they serve decent coffee.

Hotel is a good value for money. Great location , its only 2 min walking to the beach. Very simple rooms, breakfast is very basic , every day same. You should pay extra for air conditioning and safe
