Nisea Hotel Samos in Pythagorio

We stayed at this hotel as a group of 8, with our kids aged 5, 7, 9, and 10, hoping for a fun and relaxing holiday. Instead, it turned into one of the most unpleasant experiences we’ve ever had.

From the very first day, the hotel management’s attitude was shockingly rude and clearly unfriendly toward children. They repeatedly warned us—even when the kids were simply enjoying themselves in the pool together. On our last day, they even went so far as to lecture us about our parenting, which was completely out of line.

If you have children, I strongly advise you to stay away from this place. Unless your child is expected to sit silently and be invisible, this hotel is absolutely not for families.

As a family who stays at hotels 4–5 times every year, we have never faced anything like this before. It was both shocking and frustrating, and we would never return.

We chose the hotel because I saw that was renovated in December, it is located away from the city noise and it had sea view. When we arrived there we came across the road that is very step and it was like: ‘’Welcome to Greece, the roads are crazy but good’’, and we were use to it, because is not our first time visiting one of many island of Greece. we were greeted by the owner and led to our room. On the way I saw that the tiles are dirty, like they were only prewashed after renovation, but without a final cleaning.

The room was located at the first floor, let’s say not the upper one. The owner told me that the rooms at that floor was for bigger family not for us(two persons), even that I saw during our stay more than one couple in upper floors. But it didn’t matter, we said thank you to the owner and start checking the room. That was the moment when I regretted my decision. Let me tell you why.

On the second balcony there are growing some weeds. In the fridge we saw that the freezer was almost full of ice, maybe it was cleaned in December. In the bathroom there is any place to hang the shower, you have to keep it in your hand. The sink had one hole in it, and the water was dripping on the toilet paper, situated below the sink, on the support. The bath tube was old and the shower curtain wanted to make love with me every time I was taking a shower. The sheets had a strong smell of gasoline. I don’t know why.

On the first balcony a lot of dirt even a smudge that was there our entire holiday. There are no mosquito screen at the door. In the night we killed some mosquitoes and left some blood trails on the bed sheets. however, the bedding was not changed at all during our stay.

And the worst thing was the bed. There were two single beds joined with a double mattress on top of them. Because of that we had a big hump between us. After the first shower to the bed, without slippers, it turned out that I had to wash my feet again, because the tiles was dirty even in the room.

I guess that the cleaning is done by a man (don’t offense to us guys) but in this case a woman touch is well needed.
