Asma Suites in Fira

All the staff were wonderful and accommodating. We had the Opal Suites and it was spacious and the views are incredible! We usually don’t wake up early enough for hotel breakfast but here, they deliver it to your room when you want it. Huge plus! The location was secluded enough that it was quiet but it’s walkable to everything! Lots of great restaurants and shops nearby. Worth the splurge!

We don’t want to leave! This was a truly amazing place, made even better by the wonderful staff. A magnificent breakfast was brought to us each morning, and was more than enough for two. The weather was a bit cool, but that made the hot tub even more enjoyable. We were in walking distance to numerous shops and restaurants. Several were already open this early in the season. We loved how peaceful everything felt. The room and balcony were spotless. I wouldn’t change a thing!

To start, i do recommend staying here, well worth it.

Pros:
The room is fantastic. We had the Opal Suite which came with a private jacuzzi
Breakfast every morning from a menu you fill out eah day (you have to get this menu each day and bring it to the check in room. I recommend that a stack of these is left in each room and the turnover staff grabs it each day to save time)
Beautiful sunset views, away from the crowds
Beautiful view of the Aegean sea
Staff is the best, they are very polite and helpful with luggage, breakfast, etc.
Room was clean and they do a great job each day for turnover
They give you a 1L water bottle each day
They have a bottle of wine waiting for you when you enter

Tips:
It is up a hill, so it can be a bit challenging going up. Going down, you also have to climb steep steps.
Finding the check in room can be confusing, but with enough exploring you'll find it

Con:
Only have one complaint and that is the check in process with the man at the front desk. There was a miscommunication with who I was during check in. I told him my name but he thought I said "yes" to him asking me if I was someone else. Despite providing my passport, showing my email confirmations, writing my name on their sheet, he still thought I was someone else and took us to the wrong room. When it was all figured out, he promptly corrected everything and moved us to the correct room. However, he was very quick to blame me. I apologized for any miscommunication but he kept trying to tell me that it was my fault several times. He wouldn't let it go. At the end, i had to be firm and remind him that he had all my identification documents before he put me in the wrong room. It was only then until he stopped nagging and apologized.

When leaving, i called to ask if there was anything I needed to do to check out. He told me i had to pay a 10 euro tax. When I told him I only had card, not cash, he was audibly annoyed. He said his card machine didn't work. Eventually, he calls back to say that the card machine will work in an hour. He then calls a third time to say forget it and waived the fee.
I didn't appreciate his attitude.

Another minor con: the rooms are not that private which should be expected for Santorini. There are people that can see you from above and below.

Overall, despite the issues with the man at the front desk, the room itself was great and the staff was great, which is why it deserves a 4 stars.

Our stay at this hotel was truly amazing. If you are ever able to stay here make sure you take it. The staff the views, the rooms are all truly amazing. The hotel well surpassed any of our expectations. Any questions were quickly answered and they were willing to help with all our requests. Definitely a ten out of ten.

What a sensational place to stay. From the moment of arrival Maria & her father Yianni were absolutely delightful. Our accommodation was perfect and breakfast every morning served on the verandah with the most eye dropping views was exceptional. Our stay felt like it was home. The cleanliness of ASMA was spot on, fresh towels everyday, Maria the cleaner was spot on. The SPA on the verandah overlooking the sunset was our favourite place in the afternoon, with a bottle of complementary wine was a perfect way to relax after a day sightseeing. We stayed in the Emerald Suite last November for a few nights, and it was incredible! Don’t be peer pressured into thinking that Oia is the only village of Santorini worth staying in. The caldera views from here in Fira were breathtaking, the cave-style room was unique and comfortable (with a bottle of wine), the daily included breakfast was indulgent, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating - especially Olga, Sakis and Christina! Thank you for such a wonderful and memorable experience.

P.S. This property is very close to the central Fira square (for restaurants, shops, etc) and the main bus station which is perfect for cheap, reliable transportation around the island and even to/from the airport if you don’t have too much luggage (between €2.00 and €3 per person for all one-way trips depending on the route, cash only but doesn’t have to be exact).

This hotel absolutely made our trip to Santorini. The hospitality was unmatched and helped with all our needs including setting up transfers, and breakfast was served to our balcony everyday. Views may be some of the best on the island. Located in the heart of Fira, just tucked away enough to give you privacy and feel secluded while still being a quick walk from all the action. Could not recommend more!

My wife and I spent our Honeymoon at the Adamant suites this year. It was an unbelievable experience! Breathtaking views from our balcony, the room was clean, airy and very comfortable. The staff was so kind, attentive and helpful. We enjoyed breakfast overlooking the Caldera every morning, which was truly the best part of our visit. We ended every afternoon in the hot tub with a beautiful view of the sunset. The hotel and staff made our honeymoon very special and we plan on visiting as often as we can.

This family owned hotel is a jewel on the edge of the caldera! Maria and her father, Yannis, are the epitome of what a hotelier strives to be. We felt so welcomed before we even arrived. There is no request too large or too small for Maria. She is the perfect host and made us feel like family. Yannis served a magnificent breakfast every morning on the patio with a friendly smile. What a wonderful way to start the day!
