The room was adequate, the food wasn’t bad although the staff had nothing better to do but make things up that it’s unsafe for us to drink or eat around the pool area unless food or drinks were purchased onsite. The hotel has recently been refurbished and it was very clean, modern and chic. The best thing about the hotel was the friendly staff who were all happy to help. My wife and I came for a cocktail by the pool of Istoria, and ended up staying the afternoon drinking and conversing with Stelios, the great bartender of Istoria. Simply by talking he was able to know which drinks were made for us. I want to come back to Istoria just to catch up with Stelios and drink until sunset. He made our stay remarkable. Had a pleasant stay here in this calm place. Situated in Perissa, it’s at a walkable distance from the black sand beach. Takes around 5-10 minutes to walk. My husband and I loved staying at Tristhenia! We arrived shortly after a dust storm and the owner ensured that the pool and jacuzzi were all clean before we arrived. The room was also great and really clean. We loved the location right next to the beach and small shops. The owner also gave us a map and his key recommendations for while we were in Santorini, which was really useful!

Quite a decent experience for 3 nights in Perissa Nice room, good bed. Very nice staff. Found ants in the room after we had been out for dinner. Was offered a new room right away until they cleaned the room, but found ants in the new room too. Otherwise the pool area was smaller than we thought and the pressure in the shower was very poor.

Amazing place, hospitality, and place to stay. The staff, Nana, Tasos were all amazing and hospitable. Absolutely loved it and would definitely stay again. Great breakfast too! Beach near by, and supermarket. Overall I had the best time.

Thera Mare is a lovely quiet hotel, ideal for what we were after - somewhere to rest and enjoy some peace and quiet. We stayed for a week and found everything we needed within 10-15 mins walk - shops, restaurants, bars, beach, car/bike hire shops. Although we didn't use it, the bus to Oia and Fira is less than 5 mins walk from the hotel. The pool was always quiet with sunbeds available at all times...

I would highly recommend Thera Mare. This was my first holiday as a solo woman and from the second I walked into the hotel there was a great vibe and it felt a very safe place to be. This is mostly down to the friendly and welcoming staff, specifically Tasos. He gave great advice for places to eat, drink and boat trips in the area. Wow! Stayed at this beautiful hotel about 10 times. It has never let us down. It’s so clean, the hosts brilliant and an amazing pool. Breakfast is typically Greek, not a cooked breakfast but sufficient for us. Amenities are within walking distance, so it’s very handy for local bars, restaurants and the beach.. We would rate this hotel far higher than a 5! It’s our second visit and you cannot fault any of it. Spiros & Hiroko are a joy to stay with - amazing! The hotel is immaculate, perfect location to restaurants, bars, beach and shops and the bus stop is just outside- perfect to get anywhere. Just had our usual September visit to Spiros &Hiroko hotel fabulous as always ! Everything is spot on from arrival to when you sadly have to leave! Hiroko serves a substantial Greek breakfast of yogurt fruits freshly baked bread and cheese juices and fresh coffee you feel set up whether you are going sightseeing or relaxing by the tranquil pool where you don’t need to reserve your sunbed there are...

Another fantastic 18 nights at this little gem! We go every September and will continue to do so. The hotel is immaculate and Spiros & Hiroko are so welcoming. Excellent location for beach, bars & restaurants. Looking forward to our next visit.

Just arrived home from our favourite hotel already booked for next year Spiros and Hiroko are the perfect hosts ,this hotel is kept in a wonderful condition and is spotlessly clean can't wait to go back next year. Kind regards Charlie and Cheryl

August 2025 Very nice hotel which is very reasonably priced. Next door to a restaurant, plus vehicle hire, and opposite a small supermarket, so everything you need is nearby. 10 minute walk to nearest beach. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Room itself very good with A/C, but shower room in need of repair and upgrade. Pool a good size and not over subscribed. We will return to Santorini again...

Needs to improve some things: the sink in the bathroom almost have no water (little) and the "box" (bidet) have less than 1 squared meter!!!...The Room is good, mas the Bath is bad!

The experience in this hotel was amazing. The receptionist, Erjona, was very kind and always ready to help me and my boyfriend to get the best visit to the island possible. The rooms were always cleaned. The price was okay. We could go to everywhere and explore the beautiful of Santorini.

Happy with our stay here. The main improvement would be more storage space in the rooms. We stayed for a week and only had a small rack to hang our clothes with 6 coat hangers. Would be much easier with a set of drawers as we like to unpack all our clothes to stop them creasing. Staff friendly and helpful, we had a lovely surprise of wine and a birthday card which was such a kind touch. Would recommend...
