3 star hotels in Balatonfured

Location is the best part, directly on the lake shore, with a beautiful park in front of the hotel. Otherwise it's good enough, nothing special. They offer rich breakfast in the morning and cooked warm dinner in the evening. But the hotel is quite dated, old-school, "retro".

Clean and comfortable room, a little outdated and in need of an overhaul. Quite expensive for Hungarian prices, but would stay there again. No complaints. They also handled an infestation of moths that had arrived through what I thought was a closed window very rapidly!

A really great hotel that is in a good location near the promenade. Nice to have access to the hotel beach too.

The location of the hotel is impeccable, we are completely satisfied. The food is also perfect, always a good choice. Breakfast is rich, as is dinner. A big plus is the bathtub in the bathroom. The indoor pool and sauna are a good choice if the water in Balaton is already cold. I also praise the kids club, the kids enjoyed it. I was blown away, and the room, price, and food were all top drawer. Dont get put off by the outside. it's recently been refurbished. I would stay here again without question. Everything was great about this stay.

Location was good but the private strand wasn’t comfortable. There were no sun beds available for to use, had to rent them which is bad! Should be provided! The restaurant was crowded hard to find tables anytime!

This hotel has probably the best location by the lake and probably the best beach area with large territory and a lot of amenities. A good European all-inclusive hotel with clean pools, well-maintained, spacious grounds, plenty of space, and plenty of entertainment for small children (half the hotel's guests). Safety and privacy. The food isn't very varied, but it's fine for a three-star hotel. Ice cream is available on the beach all day.

"There's a shortage of seating in the dining room. People smoke on the beach loungers because, instead of information about the smoking ban and the designated areas, there's a notice saying not to feed the ducks. The rooms are too small for two people, and staying in them with three people, even just in the evening, is a nightmare. I understand that I have to vacate the room at 10:00 on my last day...

The room was not very clean, and the bed sheet had blood stains. I asked the waiter to change it immediately after checking in. The location of the hotel is OK, with its own beach.

Good hotel. Convenient location. Only minor problem was that the pool water was over chlorinated.

The price reflects mainly the "all inclusive" side (food, drinks and own beach), than the rest of the facilities (room size and location- althought an impressive view for those on top floor rooms).The hotel itfself seems to be an old building, refreshed with some upgrades. We had a wonderful stay at the Margareta Hotel. Really nice staff and excellent food (we had half board). The room looks a bit older, but it is very clean. We took the opportunity to play table tennis and the children and wife tried a very pleasant wellness. It would be nice to strengthen the wifi a bit and to put at least a basic small kettle in the room so that I could make my favorite tea next time...

I've been sometime in Balatonfüred and now we tried this hotel, because it was renovated in the last years and they gave us a special price. The hotel has new BUT small SPA department within 2 Jacuzzi's and 1 small pool for children and sauna's. The room's size was average and it was clean. Very nice hotel, close to the camp next to danubius hotel. Hotel has room where to save bikes. Biking is common around Balaton. Outside pool and wellness also perfect. Dinning was perfect, breakfast and dinner were perfect, I can recommend. More smiles from staff ;)

Our room was clean, equipped with air conditioning, television, safe and minibar. The sheets, towels and the bathroom were clean. Great hotel very near to the Balaton. The breakfast and dinner buffet are fantastic. Several options, there is some excellent local food for all tastes. The beach is of walking distance as most everything is nearby. Highly recommend!

zsh ok so be aware of this hotel, the main building looks beautiful, but no lift for suitcases..quite many high steps. they put us in a Side building, which was just ok. Towels were thin and awful. Breakfast was however very good.

Hotel is about 12 min walk from the bus station. Few minutes walk to the lake Balaton and to the nearby shops. Rooms are good for the price. You have to come to the reception for anything you need. There is no elevator. Breakfast was very basic.

Cozy hotel with a nice restourant, staff speaks German. It is located right in tge center of Balatonfüred so excellent for experiencing and enjoying the spirit of the town.

I was in the room 12 and it was very confortable. The bed was amazing I fell asleep very fast and I woke up to bird sing. The staff was very helpful and food was tasty. The breakfast was varied. This hotel is situated near the center.

This place is in a great location, within walking distance of the promenade. The rooms/areas with a kitchenette and separate bedroom aren't impressive, but they're sufficient for everyday living. The downsides include a musty smell that's impossible to get rid of, a refrigerator that sounds like a plane is taking off (for light sleepers), and a broken freezer (the ice cream had melted).

Absolutely recommended!!! The room was fantastic, parking was available in the courtyard, it was very clean, and you simply feel at home 👍👍👍👍

The apartment is clean and nicely laid out, with air conditioning, blinds, and free Wi-Fi. A washing machine and dishwasher are also provided. Unfortunately, the apartment consists of only one room; there is no door between the living room and bedroom.

Reception was exceptional! Very nice and helpful people working at the desk. We arrived early at 2 pm… rooms were not ready… reception very apologetic. Kind and happy staff. They were very helpful. The rooms were okay at best. I had to have a shower while fully bending over, that was quite uncomfortable. They had 0-24 saunas and a 0-24 outdoor pool.

Very helpful staff, sumptuous breakfast, peaceful atmosphere. We are in Füred because of a running competition, so we asked for an early breakfast, which was fulfilled without batting an eye. Unfortunately, we forgot a plush toy, which was sent by post the next day We recommend it to everyone!

This is a quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking spaces. The lodge is quite nice and neat. Spotless clean and functionalable. We loved it and certainly come back. The breakfast is reasonably well with limited choices. However, it adequate. Would highly recommend it.

I stayed in this guesthouse 5 years ago, but at that time gmaps was not so popular with reviews. I have only good memories about my stay here, I booked on the internet and within one hour I was already there. The owner was waiting for me and I was alone in the whole guesthouse. We were very happy to find this place for a good price, close to the town center, close to the train station. It is clean, neat, very nice place. It has a “lobby” with fridge to use that you share with others. You can make coffee there too. The owners live nearby and can be reached. They are very friendly and welcoming. Our 2 day stay was pleasant and we will return there when we visit the town.

This review is way overdue. We stopped by this place in the summer of 2023. Very polite owner, secure parking, clean room. Highly recommend this place. We took the picture the next day after we already slept in the bed, so it doesn't look perfect but still wanted to share a picture of the nice room. 🙂

How could one not recommend this gem on Lake Balaton? A picture-perfect location, outstanding food (no matter the dish), friendly, attentive, and charming service. And then there's the wine! We were there for the second time this year, but we will definitely be back. The place is excellent in every way. Fantastic panorama, quiet, peaceful environment, delicious homemade food, friendly staff.🙂 We love it!

The accommodation is in a very nice location, quiet and peaceful area! There was no air conditioning in the room even though it was stated on the website. The breakfast was disappointing. The staff was mostly nice.

Very great place, maybe the best in the whole of Füred. Comfortable bed, pleasant service, delicious food. The rooms are cozy and can be darkened well, the staff is helpful and kind, and understanding. I think the price is acceptable, and the view is great. Accessibility is also fine, there are two parking lots, so there is plenty of space.

Great guesthouse, close to the vineyards. Very good wines. Reasonably priced. Great panorama to Lake Balaton from both the restaurant and the guesthouse. Staff is extremely friendly and courteous. Very much recommend!
