The room was freshly renovated, really modern and elegant design. The size is not too big for two adults and a children, however a quite big wardrobe to store. The spa is fine, well maintained with several different saunas and hot tubs. But it was a little bit cold inside in the winter time. The activities are really good for children, different slides in the lobby, playgrounds around the hotel....
As a tourist from china the hotel was very nice. The water is good. But maybe if thes would extend it it would be better because theres too much people.📢📢
We stayed at Velence Resort & Spa with our one-year-old son and had an amazing experience! Everything was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for families with small children. The staff was friendly and professional, the wellness area was excellent, and the pools were great for both adults and kids. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. We’ll definitely be coming back...
The service is terrible. The hotel is heavily understaffed, and everything is very slow. Wellness is not maintained, half of saunas are turned off to save energy cost. They have never heard about customer focus. Sauna seance was great. I recommend it to everyone.
We stayed overnight at the Velence and the hotel roomw as elegant and comfortable. DInner and breakfast were OK, although we had requested vegetarian and gluten-free food but on the buffet dinner main choices there was nothing that was GF veggie. The staff were generally friendly (and spoke good English), and the location is lovely with great lake views. But the big let-down for us was the thermal...

Staff were kind and helpful. Restaurant was excellent and fairly priced. Room was outdated and pricey but the bed was comfortable and the air conditioning worked nicely.
We visited only the wellness, but it was great. Clean, tidy and calm.
I have to say, I’m really impressed with this hotel! You can immediately tell everything is super clean and smells fresh. There are so many little details.. when we arrived, we were greeted with cookies in the room(so delicious and such a warm gesture!). The bathroom is completely new and spotless, not a single flaw. The breakfast included in the price is excellent, there’s something for everyone. Plus...
Lovely hotel, staff very friendly, amazing food and location is great, quiet area with a lovely nature walk just outside the hotel. Only thing I did not like is the rock hard bed ( if you like the hard bed then you are on the right place. Having 3-4 hrs of sleep and waking up in bits, staring at the wall untill the world wakes up ). All in all great experience
Great hotel! From the road, it looks like a run-down old building, but inside, it's more than fine! The pool is fantastic, the food and drinks are good, and the breakfast is extensive. The rooms are spacious and clean.
Nice outdoor and indoor wellness pools and dry/steam saunas, jakuzzi, massage option, small gym. Kids corner and game room. Great breakfast, wide selection of food and drinks, with some laktose-free options.

⚜️ The hotel is located on a square right in the center of the city. I had a single room. It was very clean. The staff was very friendly ☺️ The only thing is that the breakfast is modest, but it depends on comparison. I really enjoyed my stay!
The hotel is very well located. The rooms are small, and furniture is old. Despite it being a non smoking hotel, the rooms had a distinct smell...
Nice stay and good service level. No complaints. Had a good stay. Hotel a bit worn-out but nice and good service level. Central convenient position in town.
Lovely, clean hotel in the heart of the city. The breakfast was amazing with lots of variety. The ratatouille was absolutely delicious—kudos to the chef! 🫡
3 and a half ⭐️ Good hotel that could be so much better. Rooms are very dark and dated, the single bed was not very comfortable. Very clean. Breakfast was good. Reception staff were quick and efficient. Didn’t use the restaurant as there a a load of cheaper options nearby. There is an underground carpark available to guests at the rear of the hotel. Spaces are a little tricky.
A hidden gem – both the hotel and the city I only booked a night in Székesfehérvár because Budapest was too expensive – and I’m so glad I did. The Mercure is in a charming old building right at the entrance to the beautiful historic old town. The hotel itself is a bit old-school: small beds, but clean rooms. What really makes the difference is the outstanding breakfast, incredibly kind and attentive...

Adrian at this hotel provided tremendous customer service that was above and beyond what is expected. He found me different accommodations after I was stuck without a room due to no fault of his own. Adrian was very helpful when he did not have to be.
Okay breakfast could be much better, the mattress was too uncomfortable for me, and to get to the power outlet I first had to remove an ancient cobweb... otherwise functional and centrally located.
The hotel's location is undoubtedly its strongest feature. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making the stay pleasant. However, the downside is that the hotel hasn't been renovated in a long time and is in need of a thorough deep clean. Despite daily housekeeping, dust and mold are visible in less accessible areas. One major drawback was the heating system. Although it was mid-May, the heating...
I stayed here for 3N during my last business trip in September 2024. The receiption is helpful. The view from my room is great. Just the wall are too thin and you can hear everything next door. It was quite annoying that I didn't choose for my 2nd visit.
Was pretty noisy inside the hotel. Breakfast was very poor.
Lovely hotel right next to the old town. The room was modern and clean, it had air conditioning which was amazing considering the 39C heat. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok too. Overall good value for money. I'd stay there again.

Everything was very nice, only the breakfast selection was less than I expected. Everything else was very good.
Amazing staff ! Rooms are clean and big ! Thank you very much !

Perfect for relaxing in a traditional way. The stuff is frendly and very helpful. Room for two very big, the room for one small with two beds, no AC, wifi good, clean, good breakfast. Big parking lot. Good exchange. Great experience for a three star hotel.
The hotel is a bit far from the train station. Friendly staff. The room looks somewhat old but it's clean.

Beautiful castle, park and overall location. Very dissatisfying and poor service, quality of rooms for an overnight stay.
This place is absolutely stunning. I went there for a wedding and everything was perfect. Food was also great and staff members were helpful.
Amazing experience in an authentic castle transformed in a hotel. With had the library loft, with lots of books and the interior looks impressive. The breakfast was delicious and diverse, including prosecco and fruits. The park is superb, it was too bad to spend just 1 night. We shall come back for sure, the dinner menu seems very intersting.
good for relaxation Very clean and quiet place. good for relaxation trip and finding peace. Personnel friendly but not so good at english language. Overall good staying
Thank you Baroness Angelica, Baron Gyorgy and all Karolyi Castle staff lifting up all the people who come here ... with your cultural transmission between France and Hungary; between the old (1800') and the new (2025); serving with such loyalty, respect and passion. Your hard work of the past 25 years is a miracle... Thank you!
After our 17 hours of flight it was a delight to spend our first day in this beautiful environment! Absolutely enchanting, peaceful and quiet! The staff of the hotel and the restaurant were amazing! Unfortunately the weather was terribly hot (went above 40 that day), but when we requested a fan in our room by the time we got back it was delivered. The restaurant was also first class. The service was terrible, and they even charged 10 euros for parking. The receptionist was incredibly stupid.

The food in the hotel is not bad, but it is a bit expensive at NT$1,000 per meal The menu has appetizers, main courses, and desserts to choose from. I think the best one is the salmon white sauce spaghetti. Europeans make spaghetti delicious no matter how they cook it.

As frequent hotel visitors in Budapest, we have our fair share of experience. My wife has high standards in terms of the service we receive and the quality of the rooms (including cleanliness) and this hotel is her favorite. Even though this is our first visit at Helios, we are definitely going to return. Plus, the view is beautiful.
We spent a very nice time with my family. Very clean room, good location and very friendly crew made our stay pleasant. Highly recommended.
Would definitely stay here again. Very quiet and pleasant area with gated parking. One bus will take you to the center of Budapest.
If you looking affordable place with breakfast and pet friendly - definitely recommend it. Here you won't find luxurious stay but definitely feel cozy. It's visible that stuff like the hotel. It's very clean, kids friendly, pet-friendly and it's enough comfortable and enough tasty.
Very nice hotel with very nice people. Cozy, homey. Upon arrival they gave a map of Budapest and a guide in Russian. They speak German, which was especially nice. Delicious breakfast in the morning. The room is clean and cozy. There is a very beautiful garden on the territory.
Before placing an order, be sure to use Baidu Chinese map to search for location. I was careless.

Good service. Nice cozy room for a good price
Pleasant overnight stay The only thing to watch out for is that the property has two buildings. The reception is in one building, your gps might bring you to the other one, and there wasn't really a sign that reception is the second building down the street. Had a pleasant (unfortunately short) stay.
Perfect! Friendly people on reception who are very helpful. Room clean and as described, slight crack in the ceiling, but nice powerful shower, comfortable beds and a lovely little terrace. Far enough out of the city but not far by transport, which is frequent! Would recommend and if I was ever to come back, will definitely stay here again!
Good size room, very nice lady at the desk, mini shop on the premise, location ain't the best but the price is great.

Our stay was amazing the hotel is amazing, beautiful, clean. The staff is welcoming, helpful all with a smile. The room is small but more than enough the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The food is vegetarian but nice and fresh. Thank you for amazing 5 days
My sister and I came here for the Kundalini retreat. The hotel is immaculate. Welcoming. Peaceful and wonderful. Pillows a little soft for our liking but clean rooms. Great hairdryer and amenities. We would so highly recommend this...
I travelled on my own to do the 4 day yoga retreat at Normafa, and I cannot fault the experience. The yoga programme was of a really high quality. I turned up knowing pretty much nothing about 'kundalini' yoga, and also not having had any other regular yoga practice before going - so I can vouch for the fact that this programme is suitable for complete beginners. Whilst physically demanding, you can...

My room was good and also so silence.Breakfast was delicious and tastefully .But only location was far away to metro station.Anyway ı had slept very well at my room.
Nice hotel for families! It has an easy access to the markets around.
The internet worked well, staff were friendly and the breakfast was very good and the room was well cleaned.  The location is also easily accessible by public transport. The room was an okay size. The bed, pillows and chair weren't the most comfortable which was slightly disappointing. But, overall for the time period I think the value for money was decent.
Ibis is about a ten minute walk from Kelenfold railway/metro station. Friendly English speaking recption staff. Beware of coach parties in breakfast room.
Clean, affordable, colourful. Was very appreciative of their customer service as they let us change the date of our arrival with no penalty despite us accidentally booking a non-refundable room (need to email them directly, not through trip). Breakfast was good, but vegan/veg options were extremely limited, so I would have liked to see some more effort on that side to accomodate more guests.
Right by the Kelenföld station in Budapest, I arrived by midnight and was welcomed by this chubby (meant in a friendly way) and very friendly receptionist who got me to my room and was very kind. Beds are nice and not too soft, the breakfast is alright too. A big plus is the free coffee by the reception haha.

I cannot find any flaw to the Hotel. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is delicious and the staff is competitive and polite. Highly recommend
No flexible dates, travelling for business you need a hotel that can provide flexible dates. Not good for business travels.
Excellent friendly, competent service, client oriented. Parking in front of the hotel which is a huge plus. Cosy room with large balcony and nice view over the city. Inside door to separate the room from the hall door, which helps a lot with the noise. Good water for shower, hangers in the wardrobe, clean & fresh towels and linen. We enjoyed everything.
Very nice hotel, staff, and clealiness but a bit off the beaten path. There's almost nowhere to go in walking distane and the sign says bar and restaurant but they only have breakfast. For the price it was still excellent.

It was nice to live here among students from Kazakhstan like me. Having come here for studies, I wanted to live not too far from the city center. It's a 40-50 minute walk to the center and my university buildings. The kitchen is small but adequate for the price. Our room had three beds; we shared a room and paid 100,000 HUF each. Really good value for the price we booked. (Probably last minute offer, really cheap...) A little bit old school but the services (spa, pool, gym, superb breakfast) makes you forget this.

Nice villa hotel located very close to tram station, friendly and helpful staff, rooms with shower, fridge, hairdryer, coffee machine and satellite tv. Very good for travellers with cars, because hotel has its own private parking.
Very beautiful hotel with private parking. Big enough rooms with all the necessary facilities. Very clean and tidy. Reception is always there to help you with any issue. I would book it again and for sure I recommend it to everyone.
Location is in a quite area with tram in front of the hotel which is very helpful. The service is not the best since the cleaning lady is not paying to much attention and rooms could be better cleaned. They are not well maintained and some invest is needed. Price is to high for what you get. Not the best experience but we could get a good night sleep
The hotel is nice. The room was clean and warm. Breakfast plentiful. The receptionist is helpful and kind. We are satisfied, good value for money. Tips: Even though we had our own car, it is more convenient to travel by bus (to downtown) No. 8E which stops there nearby. There is also an option with a tram. Buy tickets on the bus - first time from the driver, and when you get to the center - it is better...
