We spent two nights at the hotel. Everything was very positive: the rooms and other areas are clean and tidy; the staff is kind and helpful; the breakfast has basic things, but it is more than enough; there is parking space, but the bus stop is a few minutes walk away. It is great that there is a small wellness area. The only "negative" in this regard was that one of the jacuzzis was missing headrests...

This is at a quiet part of town, yet close to everything. I usually stay here whenever I need to come to town. It is walking distance from the castle and the town centre. The rooms might be a little outdated, but they are clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, supposedly really good rooms and a nice bike rental services which we used. The bikes were in good condition and we were able to give them back at a different rental location which proved to be really useful.

Very wonderful hotel! We stopped by at night with the children. We were met by friendly staff, showed everything, told. The room is large, bright, spacious, two large rooms. There is free parking. The hotel has a bad smell due to humidity on the 2nd floor due to some guest installing clothesline along the corridor in front of the rooms. I had a clogged sink in my room and there is no support to place the body wash, so when taking a shower you have to place the body wash on the floor. This hotel definitelly is so far away of being a 4 star.

Lovely hotel by lake Balaton It was wonderful, the hotel is located just minutes from the beach, breakfast was delicious with home backed goods. Good but not good enough This hotel needs an urgent upgrade. The spa area is great as is. But the coffe machine would have flooded the restaurant if i would have not told thexstaff. Medium sized hotel on the shore of Lake Balaton. Situated just opposite with the train station of Alsóörs, yet the arrival and departing trains are not disturbing. This is a very nice, big hotel. The rooms are big and have balconies. Breakfast is very good and plentiful. It has a large parking lot but the location is very poor. It's situated on the exit of the city and it is approximately 2.5-3 km away from the public Strand. The water is at 0.7 miles from the hotel but the beach that can be used and where all the restaurants and shops are situated is far away

I expected more from a 4-star hotel. Food was ok+, but I would expect more choice for a 4-star hotel. Our room door (around the handle and lock) looked like someone had broken into the room in the past. Maybe we were just unlucky because it really was the only such door on the entire floor, but no one at the reception told us about the condition of the door untill we saw it by ourselves. We had a wonderful stay at the Margareta Hotel. Really nice staff and excellent food (we had half board). The room looks a bit older, but it is very clean. We took the opportunity to play table tennis and the children and wife tried a very pleasant wellness. The rooms are clean, they could probably have undergone at most a partial renovation compared to the lobby and the restaurant area. Private closed parking. Adequate, sufficiently wide selection at breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was always very delicious, once a chicken at dinner is not to my taste, but this can be subjective. This hotel is surprisingly super great both for adults and kids. The staff is extremely friendly, food is excellent, and the venue at the beach has also an amazing atmosphere and view. Very strong 4/5 here I only advise you to come if you have children. Upon arrival the staff was exceptionally nice and very welcoming. The entire bottom floor/lobby/kids play area/ dining is all 5/5 new and very top tier. The rooms definitely are on the older side. They are very manageable but bathrooms are tighter and the overall cleanliness just wasn't there. Lots of hair in our room in carpets...

Spent a couple of days at the hotel that was designated a family weekend, primarily for children. Very enjoyable and a nice atmosphere in the hotel. One moan that our party did not appreciate. There was a company event taking place in the hotel that meant the lake side bar was closed to guests not part of this company event - quite poor in my opinion when you are a full paying hotel guest but a facility...

The view is breath-taking. Silent area, very nice after season is over. Swimming pool is very pleasant. The restaurant downstares is as good as any 5-star hotel restaurant in the capital.

Just visited relatives and had a dinner, but as I saw the hotel is perfect for families with kids. The room could be a little bigger. The food is at the highest level.

We haven't stayed in such a quiet hotel in a long time. The room was a good size with a lovely balcony facing the countryside. Breakfast and dinner were very varied. The outdoor area was beautiful and large with plenty of sun loungers. We highly recommend this hotel.

There is currently a mosquito plague in the hotel; we have never seen anything like it. There are 1000 times more mosquitoes than in Lignano i Lignano.

We stayed there as a family. Because there were several seminars during the week, the garden and wellness area were very empty. It got busier from the weekend onwards. There were always plenty of sun loungers available. Pedal boats and stand-up paddleboards were free. The other wellness facilities, sports, and playground were also great. The food was very good.

I didn't actually stay here but I had it booked back in June. I was going to Balaton sound festival. I didn't realise that there was no way to drive from Tihany to Zamardi, that you had to get a ferry. Anyway, I was super stressed and they cancelled both my room and my friend's room free of charge. A wonderful smaller hotel, that invites you to relax and be present. It has a warm, sensuous atmosphere. Love is put into the details. The breakfast buffet is not a large machine like you see in big tourist hotels. On the other hand, there is a delicious breakfast menu selected with care and awareness. Good service. Run by owners, cozy, aparthotel. Our apartment (family 2+3) was enormous. Small pool and sauna/jacuzzi makes it the perfect spot for couple of days relax stay. And Tihany itself is one of the most picturesque place in Balaton area.

Staff very nice, although we stopped just to have drinks. Lots of tables outside. The nearby road is not too loud. Well kept, quiet, fashionable, including the choice of the music (largely raeggae), not too loud.

This is at least the 5th consecutive year when we go to this hotel - sometimes more than ones a year. Very good spa, not only sybolic, excellent restaurant, even for us, vegetarians, very kind personell, who are always helpful an flexible. And very good prizes too. We return to Club Tihany every year for our company’s team-building sports day. The location is truly ideal for large group events. The venue offers a big space and plenty of space for activities such as dragon boating, laser tag, beach volleyball, football and many other sports. It is a well kept property. We loved the longer shoreline. It is very busy but still I did not feel super crowded. Lots of activities are offered for families. Food is great. Suggestion: beach towels. We had to carry our bathroom towels to the beach. The price of the accomodation is quite high. Minimally, the water at the dinner table should be free.

Perfectly lovely stay. Probably not as upmarket as the website makes out - a lot of the facilities feel like they haven’t been updated in 20 years or so. But all perfectly usable and clean, and staff were unbelievably friendly and helpful (and almost all spoke perfect English, and which was a pleasant surprise). We love the location, Watching the sale boats go by was a very special treat! The room and accommodations were very nice and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint was that the air conditioner did not cool the room enough, so we had to open the door, and the light woke us up very early in the morning. I would suggest curtains which block the light so that the guests can sleep late.

Located close to the lake Balaton at Sió canal. Food and rooms I’d consider it as average. The indoor pool is good also the water temperature is ok. However the roof terrace of the pool is quite dirty.

A beautiful hotel in the beautiful surroundings of Lake Balaton. The rooms are clean and tastefully furnished, the equipment of the rooms is at a sufficient level. The hotel itself offers a number of side activities as well as relaxation opportunities. The hotel staff is very nice, but not all of them can communicate fluently in english. But well, you can always negotiate here.

It's close to the lake. However, if you don't have a car, it's hard to get there from the train station. Although there is a bus line, there are only around 3 or 4 buses in the afternoon. There is a pool and a hot tub on the ground floor. Its nice to unwind there. The breakfast is good too.

The hotel was right on the beach and my room had filtered water views with spectacular sunsets. Breakfast was pleasant but didn’t cater for gluten free so limited me to eggs. The coffee was good. Little English spoken amongst the staff but they did their best to understand. Room was comfortable and clean. I would recommend.

The rooms were average, we went in off season so the streets were empty and access to beach wasnt possible. But the hotel had wellness services which we enjoyed. The staff was friendly. Breakfast was included in our plan which was decent and had sufficient options (considering it was off seasons and had limited guests). Wellamarine has been a blessing for me during the Covid 19 Pandemia. This hotel is just at the lake side. The distance from the main train station is less than one kilometer. Internet wifi speed is excellent. There is a wide variety of restaurants around the hotel but I love the ambience, hygiene and the taste from the restaurant which is located at the lake side. The deer soup, pizzas or the ice creams...

The hotel is probably one of the better ones in the are. It was reasonably clean, both in terms of the rooms and the spa. The tech in the room (like TV) is a bit outdated, no streaming service, just Hungarian free to watch channels. The main bed was okay, but in the family apartment, there was no extra bed, just a sofa, making it very uncomfortable for the family member sleeping there. The pillow options...

It is a nice modern hotel, with a very kind staff, good selection of food for breakfast and supper. Lots of entertainment opportunities. The only downside of things is that you have to pay for drinks at supper time even as a hotel guest. In most hotels I have stayed at drinks were always included in the price.

My family and I were there in March 2025 for a conference and we really liked it. The amenities were great. The food was always professionally prepared and delicious with some variety. We had an easy time using the extra features like the sauna and the bowling alley and such.

A great hotel and a wonderful venue for the annual English Teachers' Conference. The atmosphere here is cozy, warm, and beautiful. The grounds are very well-maintained, and the restaurant is quite decent. On top of that, the location is very convenient and easy to reach!

It was my third stay there - I love the place. Handsome rooms with pretty bathrooms, convenient place for different occasions, and the best thing about the hotel is the staff and the restaurant - everybody wants you to be satisfied with everything, and the food is super - delicious. The spa is also cool.

Staying at this hotel near Lake Balaton was truly a pleasure. Its location, close to Siofok's city center, is perfect for relaxation. The spa, though small, features excellent saunas, and the staff is both kind and attentive. Highly recommend for a peaceful autumn retreat!

Overall, the hotel is pretty good. SPA is very nice. It has bio, finish, and infrared sauna + steam room and pool. The room is big and without a terrace but with a balcony. You can't set the temperature in the room or turn on the heater in the bathroom. Hence, I gave 4 stars. The food is good and all waiters and cooks are friendly. The best hotel for local and international guests who want to have a lovely relaxing luxurious holiday. Rooms carefully cleaned regularly, food is exceptional, the staff is always so friendly and kind and helps in case of need during the day or night. The rooms are modern, recently renovated and spacious. It was truly a lovely holiday and highly highly recommend!!!!!!!!

I'we been visiting this hotel every summer for the third time now. It is really close to the beach, has an acceptable wellness area(good to have but not a wellness hotel. Beachside hotel at the Balaton. Supercheap, retro with all the problems that come with it. If you spend most of your time on the beach anyway or come with kids it is great. If you want your room to be supercomfy with airconditioning and silence, forget it.

Rooms very nicely decorated, we liked welness place with jakuzzi pool, swimming pool and other facilities included in our stay. Location great in center, about 500 m from beach. Parking at hotel with cost or around by hotel for free. Breakfast excellent and all day access to hot/cold non alko beverages.

Staff is friendly but do have little English so could not help. And did not have information. Free Coffee available all day. Room was not cleaned Aircondition did not work - Room was too hot. Answer was "AC is turned to heat already" ... No option to.open windows. Breakfast was OK Spa is small but OK.

Not bad, but expensive. The playhouse and the adventure pool are not connected to the hotel, so if it's cold it's unpleasant to walk through the yard. It's not designed for Hungarians and has non-Hungarian prices, they spoke English at the reception. The foreigners are aggressive compared to us, they push everywhere. My daughter waited two days for body painting, then they got it done in 3 minutes...

What we really liked was the playhouse and the water world. In the cool area, there is a waterslide complex just for kids. The water is pleasantly heated, and the jacuzzi is warm. The entire hotel is modern and newly built, and the rooms are practically furnished with a bathtub, microwave, and Nespresso coffee machine. The animation staff (young female animators) do their best to entertain the children...

The hotel is quite nice but definitely not 5* hotel. We have a junior suite with a view. Room is nice but there is no dishes and they did not changed our dirt sheet in three days, they took our small towels, but did not give new. The treasure hunt for Halloween was disaster, not enough sweets and kids were so disappointed. Should be improved.
