Right by the sea, the views are fantastic. The room facilities are a bit dated, but the overall decor is cozy and inviting.

All the rooms staying in level one so you don’t need to carry your luggage is upstairs by yourself or any elevator. The room is big enough to open two luggage’s and the heat you can adjust by yourself

The room was clean and comfortable, the location was easy to find, and parking was convenient right in front of the lobby entrance. The front desk staff were polite and provided good service.

This hotel is located in Höfn, about 500km from Reykjavik Airport. We arrived late at night, but the hotel staff were warm and welcoming. The facilities inside were also satisfactory.

Service: The front desk manager was very welcoming and thoughtful during check-in, even helping guests with their luggage. However, the housekeeping department was poor

Great breakfast but the hotel itself looks really scary in the night. There were no lights at the hallway in the morning and worse in the night

She showed good initiative by asking whether we would like to be served in 2 portions. Lamb burger was awesome and fries were good!

Great place to stay on an Iceland roadtrip

Parking area is spacious, easy to park. Hotel is located near to tourist spot Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon. Hotel buffet breakfast is very good. Alot of handmade cookies and cakes, fresh fruits and local meal

Great service by the restaurant staff. Was hungry at 4pm when my wife and I reached this hotel so we ordered a lamb burger as snack before dinner at 7pm

The food from the restaurant is good, definitely above the average. The price is also reasonable

Wonderful place to stay My stay was wonderful. The owners are very nice, the guest house was great, and breakfast was phenomenal. This is a great option to stay. If you do, please give Magic some love for me.

This was a wonderful place to stay outside Hofn. The staff was friendly, the cottages are comfortable and charming, and the breakfasts were delicious. It was probably my favorite place to stay in Iceland

Breakfast was delicious, owners were very conscientious and considerate, room design was modern and beautiful, beds comfy, everything perfect

We were lucky enough to have 25 days in Iceland, and Hrafnavellir Guesthouse was top 3! Do not miss eating dinner! #1 favorite & lowest cost meal in all 25 days!! The mushroom soup is out of this world delicious, I will be begging for the recipe! She has a lovely bar where she will make you a cocktail

And there is sufficient space for the shared area to no matter enjoy your meal or take a rest. By the way, the bed is too soft for us and the amenities in the room is quite simple especially the coat hanger

Room was spacious and house had big area to relax in and had a really nice kitchen and breakfast. Loved being able to use the washer and dryer AND the northern lights were right outside our window!

Fantastic Stay – Clean, Scenic, and Convenient! I had a wonderful stay at this hostel! The room was spotless, well-organized, and had an incredible view The included breakfast was a great bonus, and having access to parking and laundry facilities made everything so easy and stress-free

Amazing spot. Has everything you need. Shared bathrooms but everyone kept things clean and tidy and I never had to wait. Excellent kitchen with coffee and tea sugar oil a few spices and cookware if you want to cook.

She has an electronic store next door and helped me fix my camera mount. Nice clean rooms and having a washer and dryer was convenient. Great location and if I ever come back to the area I will stay here again

We are already missing Inga and the Dynjandi guesthouse - we were here for 2 nights in May! Inga is an amazing host- we learnt so much about the Icelandic lifestyle from her! She was always available to provide sightseeing tips in the mornings after breakfast! Oh, and the breakfast which Inga prepared consisted of this custard-looking like cake in a warm glass - it was so delicious! Will definitely...

A wonderful place to stay while heading East on the Ring Road. Inga, the host, quickly sorted out a mix-up with our booking (I booked directly via email per the website, but I'd probably recommend using Booking

Our only regret was not being able to stay longer and meet some of the animals on the farm due to our busy schedule of activities, but we would recommend anyone looking to explore the Hofn area during their trip to Iceland to book a stay at Dynjandi Guesthouse and enjoy Inga's incredible hospitality!

She provided us with all the information that we needed to know for our stay, including rules of the guesthouse, where things were located, and dining recommendations in Hofn, which is only a 10-minute drive from the guesthouse

Although breakfast is usually served at 8:00am the earliest, she was kind enough to have it prepared by 7:30am to allow us to enjoy some of it before getting back on the Ring Road in time for our scheduled glacier hike

She showed us where our private room and bathroom were located and allowed us to pick the flavour of the cake that we would have for breakfast the next morning since we were the first of the guests to arrive that day

The location is quiet and convenient — there’s a restaurant next door with delicious burgers 🍔, and a supermarket just a few minutes’ walk away 🛒. I’m honestly surprised by some of the negative reviews 🤷‍♂️

If you book a guesthouse just for a good night’s sleep before continuing your journey, you shouldn’t expect a 5-star hotel. For what it is — a simple, clean, and well-run guesthouse — it’s perfect

We stayed at Guesthouse Hvammur for one night during our road trip and were really happy with it

Our room was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely view of the harbour from the window ⚓️🌊 — such a nice surprise to wake up to! The shared bathrooms and showers were spotless 🚿✨, and the kitchen was tidy and well-equipped 🍳, which made it easy to prepare a quick meal

Only problem was that the room was very hot and there was no way to adjust temperature from inside the room

Prices are great - and most of the food is sourced locally or directly from the farm. Be sure to hike around the area and check out the cool landscapes and hills that dot the area

This guesthouse has stunning views, sizable and comfortable rooms, fluffy duvets and pillows. The food is absolutely amazing! Fresh bread, homemade tomato soup, and many other items directly from their farm

For the best experience, bring some groceries with you if you’d like to cook, enjoy the quiet atmosphere, and use it as a hub for exploring nearby sights such as Vatnajökull National Park, Stokksnes, and the glaciers

Came to see the northern lights, but no luck tonight. Kitchen and bathroom facilities present. Felt like a cute youth hostel, with card games in the dining area, and funny quotes all around the building

The beds were so comfy and the hall bathrooms were sooo clean and tidy. Check in was a breeze and two super cute restaurants were right across the street! Will definitely recommend this place to friends!

As well, the bathroom ventilation was lacking, since it would get very steamy and humid. I also wished that there had been more places to hang your clothes, as there was only one set of coat hooks by the door

The kitchen was fitted out with the essentials and there was a decently sized fridge. The sofa bed was not the most comfortable, as it was rickety and dipped in the middle, though I have slept on worse

Lovely little guesthouse, only concern was the size of the bedrooms, they are very small. We were only staying one night so it was okay but if staying longer you might want a bit more room

The self-check-in was very convenient, the instructions were very clear, the location was very good, the room was very comfortable, but the kitchen was a little messy, but this was also caused by the tenants, they didn't clean it properly after use, but the kitchen utensils were complete, everything was available

The facilities at Hepburn Hotel are bright, simple and clean. The only downside is that there wasn't enough toilet paper. When we went to the bathroom the next morning, we found that all the toilet paper had been used up

The room was clean and the shared facilities were perfectly fine for our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made things easy. It’s conveniently close to Netto supermarket, so grabbing essentials was simple

Stayed before. All good again. Other guests were respectful with noise and kept the shared kitchen and bathroom clean.

One thing to note: noise carries from the kitchen, so if you have noisy neighbors staying up late, you might hear everything. Overall, a good place for one night while passing through
