A guesthouse you can find by taking a short detour off National Route 1. The accommodation itself is satisfying, but I especially recommend the handmade gelato from the farm. It is suitable for a one-night stay.

The scenery around the hotel is stunning, and the accommodations are tranquil and comfortable. It's incredibly close to the glacier, and the sunrise there is breathtaking. The breakfast is also quite good.

The hotel is beautiful, with a lawn in front of it where cows stand, sit, or lie down, overlooking Vatnajökull Glacier. It's as if the cows are growing on the ceiling. The rooms are well-equipped, but the soundproofing is poor. However, the foreign guests are very considerate; even the noisiest restaurant and lounge areas quiet down after 8-9 pm.

The hotel is very well located on the road to Hofn. The room was magnificent: large, with a breathtaking view of the mountains and glaciers. It looked like a picture on the wall, but it was our bay window. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast perfect, and the homemade ice creams were delicious and original (dandelion flavor, a delight).

Excessive price for a business that needs interior renovations. July is usually more expensive, but the value for money isn't right. It feels like a place that's been through a lot and the business is doing well, but compared to other guesthouses, it feels outdated. It lacks warmth. Breakfast was adequate.

The hotel is located in a big town with a nice surrounding. Go to the gas station to refuel and wash your car. The hotel rooms are fully equipped and comfortable, the front desk staff are warm and polite, and the parking lot is convenient for parking.

This was a wonderful place to stay outside Hofn. The staff was friendly, the cottages are comfortable and charming, and the breakfasts were delicious. It was probably my favorite place to stay in Iceland. We watched northern lights from our deck.

An amazing stay! The views were breathtaking, and the rooms spotless with high-quality bedding, a great shower, and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was outstanding, full of delicious homemade treats. A good place to stay. The rooms are spartan yet immaculate and warm, with excellent showers. There is a common room with kettle, microwave and refrigerator. Breakfast is normally served from March onwards, but they did offer breakfast during our stay in late February.

Overall, we had a good experience staying at Seljavellir Guesthouse. The car park was spacious, and the room was clean and large. The only downside was that the room directional signage wasn’t clearly visible from the car park—we ended up walking a big round in the winter cold to locate our room.

Very modern hotel with nice and big rooms. We had some bad luck with the weather so we had to stay there all day, which can get quite boring. The town of Höfn is around the corner but there was nothing much to see. A big plus for the hotel was the breakfast, though. With freshly made scrambled and fried eggs and tasty bread we had everything we needed.

One of our favorite spots that we stayed at during our Iceland trip. We were able to see the northern lights the night we stayed. Loved the cleanliness of the room. The shower and toilet were all in one but large bathroom. Would stay here again.

The hotel was so comfortable with heating floor system. The breakfast was pretty simple but we appreciated the staff specially prepared the breakfast earlier for us as we need to head out earlier for our glacier excursion. The place is clean. Check in is easy. The room is very small and the upstairs washroom needs some update. Breakfast selection is very limited.

Cosy room, spacious toilet. Although well equipped, the shared kitchen was rather small, I can't imagine having to share the space with other guests. Also, the electric cook tops take a really long time to heat up! They had an espresso machine which you could use to make coffee. The rooms were completely self check in/out, and we didn't see any staff.

We stayed one night at this hotel & it was easy to find, clean & ample parking. Please note that it is not staffed but you can reach the staff if needed. I was also surprised to not see the hot tub that was shown in the photos. The facilities were clean & quiet.

My mom and I stayed here for one night, and it was the perfect overnight stop. Beds were comfortable, and the guesthouse had everything we needed to make dinner and breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately our upstairs neighbours were very noisy through the night which meant we did not sleep, so if you are a lighter sleeper I would not recommend this place. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Parkhus restaurant. The rooms are small but clean and tidy. There's a shared kitchen with complete facilities, and a shared space for making coffee. Self-check-in was great!

The room was very nice, warm and cozy, perfect for arriving after a rainy day. There is no staff on-site, but we didn't miss anything. The surrounding area is beautiful.

The property was ok, very strange floors that felt like outdoor pool flooring. Clean and quiet, very basic, comfortable beds, we did not see a single staff member during our stay.

Unfortunately the hotel does not answer calls at all, we had 2 rooms, but they sent us a code only for one, it took 6 hours to get the code for the entrance to the second room. There is almost nothing in the guest house, no kitchen, no sauna.

The room was sunny and clean. Although small, it was well-equipped. The only downside was the soundproofing, which could be improved. But for a B&B, the environment was great. It's close to the city center, making parking and shopping very convenient!

The business is family owned and run, so there are some limits due to a very small staff what they can do to maintain the place, there are minor damages here and there to the interior, but keeping the place alive in this condition is a challenge as such, given it's in the middle...

The rooms were quite nice. Just breakfast in this place was very poor. Nothing warm except of coffee and tea. No warm food at all, just slices of cheese, ham to make sandwiches and overcooked boiled eggs.

Upon arrival, the staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they efficiently checked me in and provided me with all the information I needed about the hotel's amenities and the surrounding area. A lovely stay that I’d choose again over any hotel. I had the pleasure of spending three nights at Dynjandi. Winter storms may have kept me in more than planned but I didn’t mind at all and in large part that is due to Inga being a wonderful host. The four of us girls stayed in this guesthouse together. The room was very clean, and having a kitchen allowed us to cook our own food. The owner is incredibly friendly. It's conveniently located for exploring the scenic northeastern region from Hofn, and also for visiting Diamond Beach to the west.

It's great that it comes with a private shower room for this price. There's a coffee maker with a wide variety of drinks, including lattes and chocolate lattes. Yogurt and cereal are also available, which is helpful. It's convenient that you can use the dishwasher. The owner even cleaned it out himself, which was kind. It would be better if the shower room had containers for shampoo and body wash.

This guesthouse has stunning views, sizable and comfortable rooms, fluffy duvets and pillows. The food is absolutely amazing! Slept like a baby here. Came to see the northern lights, but no luck tonight. Kitchen and bathroom facilities present. Really nice location opposite the small harbour. We stayed in the Studio (1) in winter. The room was clean and comfortable and several restaurants are just a short walk away. There’s a Netto supermarket 450 away and a couple of gas stations in the village. Worth filling up in Höfn if you are travelling either East or West.

Nice Hostel, with large and well equiped kitchen

House : Room is very spacious and Kitchen is sufficiently equipped. No washing machine / heater as of date of post. Surrounding : Very quiet , near a lake which offer good morning view. This is a lovely, clean guest house in a beautiful setting. I forgot my prescription sunglasses and the owner mailed them to me in the United States. I really appreciate that she went out of her way for me like that.

Cute little guesthouse decked out with mainly ikea bits and pieces. The kitchenette was very small but had lots of kitchen stuff. Luckily we were early and no one else cooked. The facilities at Hepburn Hotel are bright, simple and clean. The only downside is that there wasn't enough toilet paper. When we went to the bathroom the next morning, we found that all the toilet paper had been used up. It was probably because other guests took it to the kitchen and used it all up. It was really embarrassing.

The self-check-in was very convenient, the instructions were very clear, the location was very good, the room was very comfortable, but the kitchen was a little messy, but this was also caused by the tenants, they didn't clean it properly after use, but the kitchen utensils were complete, everything was available
