Shared kitchen available, very nice stuff, really nice and comfortable rooms. Free tea.

Older hotel, but that didn’t matter at all to us. The staff is very friendly, they made sure that we have a nice time. We even came to breakfast a bit late and we didn’t pay in advance, but they prepared the breakfast again for us and were very nice about it ☺️ Very pleasant experience overall, definitely would come back!

Great location! Breathtaking breakfast views of the mountains. The rooms are decently clean, but a little more run down. However, for the price it was amazing. The employees were kind and friendly. The town itself is smaller, but has the basics. There is a very cute local cafe, grocery store, liquor store, and the hotel is down the road from the gas station. Don't expect it to be like America where...

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived, the place was easy to find, and the views were unreal. Absolutely gorgeous. I have to agree with the rest of the reviews, great staff and the rooms are basic but clean. Also, the fact that Dalvik VM got its name from this town made it that much cuter. However, don't expect much from this town, we came in tired from the whale watching tour and the staff in the hotel found us a room to stay overnight. There's 3 restaurants around, one of which only does takeaway pizzas.

Cozy cottage. Friendly staff. Amazing hot tub and sauna in the garden to experience northern lights if you are lucky.

Very nice place with very friendly owners

The coolest place in Dalvik! We were lucky and we also saw the Aurora. I stayed one night to catch the ferry to Grimsey the next morning Welcoming host, sufficient facilities, fair price-quality ratio. Hot tub and sauna available to customers

The host was great. The facilities are very good. Great to have a shower outside by a tree and a hot tub+sauna just great in every way would come back

The small bedroom with a nice bed, a sofa, a small bathroom with only a toilet and a tiny sink, a kitchenette. So there is everything except the shower, which is in another structure, reachable in the middle of the mud in the dark. Like the whirlpool and the sauna. Sin

Clean room, but also pretty expensive for what you get (more of a hostel than anything). Only two bathrooms (including shower) shared with the whole floor, made for a bit of a wait.

Clean, nice rooms overlooking the countryside. Common equipped kitchen, bathroom and living room. Everything we needed to cook and enjoy our stay we found. Fast wifi in room. Outdoors, children's playground and camp for tents. Very reasonable room rates, therefore we chose the room and did not use the tent :) In addition, pleasant communication at the reception desk. The most amazing campsite I have found in Iceland. Set in the grounds of an old school the facilities are very good. Free WiFi, kitchen and washing area, clean showers and toilets. The only downside was the communal showers which brought back memories from my school days. There is a wonderful trail which begins from the campsite and takes you around across a river and into a forest. Beautiful wildlife

Best camp site on our Iceland trip. Good services, good internet. Beautiful location in a nature preserve. Cooking space, showers included. Not overly crowded.

It is a whole unit which faces a beautiful mountain. Compact and it has what we need. It's a pity we didn't have the time to enjoy the jacuzzi. It will be great if the pillows can be more firmer.

We had a great winter stay. The views were sunning. Loved looking at the snow covered views from the hot tub. Star gazing and northern lights when it got dark. Plenty of space around the accommodation for the children to explore/ go sledging. Also conveniently located for whale watching from Dalvik

Uncomplicated, idyllic and simply a great experience

Great property just outside Dalvik. Our cottage was clean and the communication with the host was great. We really enjoyed the view of the valley from the deck and had an amazing time using the BBQ and relaxing on the hot tub. Fast Wi-Fi connection, our family had a great time here. Value for money too

Me and my girlfriend spent a couple of nights in one of the 3 cottages of the property. The owner showed us the place personally and gave us great tips regarding the area and restaurants in town. The whole space was lovely: very clean all around plus the bed was comfortable. The view of the valley nearby from the patio was breathtaking, a big hot tub helped us relax after a long day sightseeing on...

90 year old house, nicely modernized. Excellent food/chef. Just outside of town.

Magnificent, magical, comfortable, warm welcome, clean, calm I find no reason to deprive yourself of staying at Karlsa Lodge.

There were 12 of us, so it was a private building. The house has just been refurbished and is comfortable and clean. Because I checked online and found that it has a large kitchen attached, all of us cooked a sumptuous dinner and breakfast by ourselves. Condiments, tea bags, and coffee are all complete. We had the whole house to ourselves. It's newly renovated and clean. The view is spectacular including hot tub and sauna!

The owner was very friendly and communication was really clear, he gave us some useful recommendations for our next jurney and activities. Great kitchen and a tidy room.

It felt very cosy and comfortable. Like an old Icelandic house.

Nice and comfortable place to stay and the owner is hospitable would probably be back here once i visit dalvik again

A fabulous little hostel just across the main road from the harbour and ferry. The rooms are very tasteful & charming, the dorm spacious, and the staff are really nice. There's a small kitchen with a fridge and single hotplate downstairs, but you can visit the excellent café 100m south where the road forks, Gísli Eiríkur Helgi (from 11-18 in winter) which is a great place to hang out and watch life...

Quirky hostel (and very reasonably priced), nice owner who also run a cafe down the street. Go and try their home made breads and delicious fish soup!
