Our room was cozy, warm, and had a beautiful view of the river. We also really appreciated the common area, which was perfect for enjoying a relaxed breakfast or getting some work done online in the afternoon. Everything was clean, well-organized, and thoughtfully arranged.
The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety of options to start the day right. We felt very well taken care of and would absolutely recommend Riverfront Lodge to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable place to stay in southern Iceland.

Cabins were quaint and very clean. Environmentally conscious and pleasant surroundings. Walls were a bit thin and easy to hear other guests in adjacent room. Breakfast just okay and very limited. Good for price.
The hosts were incredibly friendly and informative - we had an interesting conversation about Icelandic culture over our last breakfast but at no point did we feel they were overbearing. They were very accommodating about our bikes, letting us use the decking to assemble them and break them down for the bike boxes and offering us use of the hose to clean them if needed.
Breakfast was varied and a great start to the day. We bought food from a local supermarket and the shared kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil and seasoning etc that we needed to make dinner.
The location is simply stunning - backing onto a river with scenic views in the background. The room was cozy (we pushed our twin beds together) and the water pressure in the shower was good.
For anyone looking for a relaxing place to use as a base to explore the local area - the Highlands a short drive away are beautiful - this is it.
