Loved being here. Very thoughtfully designed studio style apartment with helpful touches fit cleverly into a small space like quality kitchen tools, a closet, a tea kettle, soap for the laundry room downstairs. Even fruit, tea and milk were provided. There is some noise at night as this part of town is popular for partying but we didn’t find it bothersome. Great location with a bonus grocery across the street walking distance to several great cafes, restaurants and pastry shops

Nice home in a centralized location for bus stops and restaurants. Close to most city sightseeing hot spots. Clean with all the amenities you need including a stove top, microwave, kettle, hair dryer, coffeemaker, cookware, and utensils.

46Heima is a fabulous place to stay in Reykjavik. For us it felt like home away from home. For the same price as a nice hotel room you get a place that feels all you own. The location was great with tons of shops and restaurants a short distance away. Having your own mini kitchen and fridge really helps too allowing you to take home leftovers or buy something from the grocery store to cook one night to avoid paying the pricey cost of dining out in Iceland. The owners were incredibly responsive and helpful whenever we needed any assistance or had questions while we were in town. If we ever make it back to Iceland we will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful apartment, very comfortable and cozy, plenty of space for 2 people. The location is excellent with many shops and restaurants just steps away. We took a food tour that met at the concert hall which was about a 15 minute walk. The famous church is maybe a 5 minute walk. If you stay here you will utilize bus stop 9 for all of your tour pick ups/drop offs. It is 3 long blocks, about 5 minutes. I would absolutely stay here again. The host was very responsive.
Apartments 1 and 2 are on the second floor, apartment 3 is on the 3rd floor. At least in American terms. The entrance for 1-3 is on the left side of the building. The entrance for the other apartments is on the front just past the shop.

Wonderful experience! Excellent location and warm hospitality from the host. Should I visit Iceland again, I would love to stay at 46heima!

A serious pizza to be fair. Great job. I'll be back again soon.

Try the ravioli. Very good. Order a pizza to go. The quantity is so less you would feel hungry soon.

F**ing disgusting. We were sitting next to the pizza maker. The heaters where behind us. The waiter then dropped our childrens pizza right in front of us, told us that they would make another one. The waiter put the pizza RIGHT ON THE HEATER BEHIND US. Then a few moments later he brought it back to us. Claiming it was a new one.

I've never ate so slowly to enjoy all of the flavours in my meal. Absolutely beautiful. Cosy atmosphere and an authentic experience. Add it to your must-do list in Iceland!

We went for alate lunch and were served beautifully prepared small plates of food, served by polite and attentive (but not pushy) staff, in a modern, unfussy bar/bistro. Of particular note were the trio of marinated herring, and also the wild mushroom risotto with beef cheek and parmesan shavings. Prices average for Reykjavik.

Fabulous tapas-style restaurant in Reykjavik. Lunch menu of 3 tapas was ideal and the lamb, fish pie and garlic potatoes were all delicious. Waiting staff were very attentive and this was the perfect place for our last day in Iceland.

Really awesome space. The staff is great, the food is superb, and the prices aren't ridiculous like most places in this city. Dined upstairs with some friends and happened to have the whole floor to ourselves. Very cool. Highly recommend it!

Their Rye bread ice-cream with cream and caramelized rhubarb syrup was amazingly delicious! Their Icelandic platters were worth trying out if you wish to sample some Icelandic specialty such as mashed fish and smoked trout.

Service was quick and cafe attendants were friendly despite the busy crowd. This cafe is definitely worth visiting ??

Food is traditional Icelandic. We had the fish stew there, and it was ok, but not the best we had in Reykjavik. Beautiful location, delicious rye bread ice cream (sounds weird, but it works!). Definitely worth stopping in if you're in the area.
26.11.2017 Miguel
Great atmosphere, with lovely music playing. Very amicable staff.

The food, homemade Icelandic ware, is delicious and affordable compared to a large majority of places in Iceland.

I recommend trying the Rye Bread Ice-cream.

Based on the menu and the smell that hit me at the front door, I was expecting fishy and funky. It ended up being delicious fish, meat soup, and veggies. The fermented shark was pretty weird, but worth trying. Prices not too bad for a huge plate of food.
15.11.2017 Sam
One of the best and most authentic meals of our trip! We got here 10 minutes before they opened and we're seated right away. We split one of the platters with a bit of everything. Weirdly delicious! Make sure you an adventurous eater tho!
