Guests enjoy the social atmosphere at the shared breakfast table and the historic character of the building. A few comments mention the brightness of rooms and suggest additional curtains or window coverings are needed. The geothermal water supply has a strong sulfur smell and can be extremely hot, which might surprise uninformed guests. A couple of reviews note that beds and pillows in some rooms could be more comfortable or updated. Limited power outlets in rooms have been mentioned as inconvenient for device charging.

What a perfect stay and a perfect host.
Arrived having received clear instructions for parking ( paid garage across the road ) and check in .
We had the side annex , with its own door entrance.
Very well equipped with kettle , microwave , fridge , Tv ( didn't use ) and WiFi.
Large comfortable double bed , single duvets which seen common in Europe ( not so in the UK ).
Spacious bathroom with washing machine too .

TO NOTE THE WATER IS EXTEMELY HOT STRAIGHT FROM THE TAP AND SHOWER AS ITS GEO THERMAL AND HAS A SULPHUR SMELL .

A warning sign would be useful if you didn't know about Iceland's water supply.

Breakfast included , couldn't ask for anything more , fresh home made bread and cakes , meats , fish, hams , fruit , yoghurt, cereal and i'm sure if you had specific dietary needs they would be more than catered for.

The host , Steinunn was unbelievable, we hired a car and she checked the weather in real time for the locations we had planned , offered us suggestion of place to stop off , bars and restaurants.

Numerous guides, maps all available and again nothing too much trouble .

Such a credit to Iceland and Reykjavik, please support this local home run business.

This place really is a treasure. Perfect location in the center of Reykjavík. Beautiful historic architecture and extremely clean. Breakfast in the morning was great… with lots of local treats. We enjoyed talking with our host and meeting some of the other guests around the table. We would highly recommend this quaint and charming guest house!

Very sweet and perfectly located. The host is very charming , the community breakfast table was a fun way to meet other travelers. Our bedroom was rather small which made it a little uncomfortable but it was cozy.

We had an amazing stay at the Reykjavik Treasure during our 4 day trip to Iceland. The property was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The house is old, so there are some quirks, but they did not bother us. The breakfast was delicious, healthy and filling.

After leaving this area, the hotels that follow lose their welcoming atmosphere. If your English is good enough, you'll have a wonderful experience here, so everyone should definitely learn a foreign language! There's a long-haired cat around this shop that lets you pet its belly; it appears frequently, so be careful not to pet the wrong one.

Our stay at Reykjavik Treasure B&B was exceptional. Steinunn, the host, went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and memorable experience. She was friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful. The property is beautiful, perfectly located within walking distance of Reykjavik’s main attractions, and offers an excellent breakfast with a wide variety of fresh options. We highly recommend Reykjavik Treasure B&B and will certainly choose it again for future visits.

We stayed in this amazing place for 4 nights, it was one of the best experiences ever! It’s very central and a couple of meters from a car park, the whole facility is very clean. Having homemade bread every morning for breakfast, long shared dining table to socialize with other guests, cosy rooms and common areas make you feel home… We would definitely stay here again🤍
