Enough space for a family. Two bedrooms, kitchen and a balcony. Sofa can be converted into an additional two bed. It is just near cafe Loki and Hallgrimskirkja church which is visible from anywhere in the downtown, so need to worry about getting lost. What more can you ask for, in the middle of everything. Rainbowstreet, sunvoyager, Harpa center and mostly all the bus stops where the local tours starts are in walkable distance. Enjoyed the stay.

I enjoyed my stay at Loki 101 for the most part. The self service check in was simple and convenient for my needs. The room was clean and comfortable, and (mostly) quiet. The location couldn't be any better - right across the road from Hallgrimskirkja, Reykjavik's most prominent landmark - and so getting around to places was incredibly easy throughout the stay. Although I didn't meet the owners they always responded quickly to any questions I had by email.
There were only a few downsides for me. 1. Other guests could be noisy in the corridors and kitchen at all times, day or night. With the thin walls it's easy to hear everything. 2. The bathroom did get busy from time to time and so you may have to wait. 3. My room didn't get cleaned during the time I was there, I'm not sure if this is because I was just there for 3 days, but it did mean a full bin that stayed full by the second day.
Despite that I still enjoyed the holiday and would stay here again just for the convenience.

Pro; great location, nice exterior
Con: deferred maintenance. This includes getting locked in a bathroom for ten minutes due to faulty, old lock. It was reported but owners never touched base. Light not working in bedroom and bathroom. Kitchen not clean including filthy micowave. Front door did not close properly and so was often not closed.

The hosts and cleaning staff are super friendly and this was the PERFECT base to explore the city. It has the best location and a very well equipped kitchen. The shared bathroom is very small and only has 1 shower but there was rarely a line. We weren't able to enjoy the back porch due to the weather but our room was quite comfortable enough to look out on the streets.

Loki 101 Guesthouse was the perfect place for my stay in Reykjavik. Its location in the city is fantastic, the room was clean and comfy, and if I had any questions the staff was extremely quick to answer. I will certainly be staying here again on my next visit!

A good value hotel, all is good.

Except belows
1 checkin
No one answer my ring upon my arrival, wait outside for sometime. Didn't get your password before Arrival, should be sent beforehand.
Hope there will be someone to give a brief orientation of how to use the black phone to contact the owner for emergency or how to use the kitchen.....
2. Toilet has some smell and hairs in the showers.
3 gets too noisy at night or in the morning if there were too many guests at the same floor, since sound proof effect is not very well.

During our stay we visited this location three times. The staff was phenomenal and the food was great. Awesome pizza and I'd recommend to anyone who is craving for some.

My 9 y/o daughter wanted a pizza and this place was open after 20:00 so we were fortunate.

The place was nice and warm and the ambiance was very pleasant. We ordered the cheese pizza and it was very good. At only stayed for a quick pizza but it would've been nice to go there for dinner.

Good place of you're looking for something familiar.

We asked a local Icelander where the best place to try puffin and Whale was and we were not disappointed. Excellent service and beautiful food. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to have a true Icelandic experience.

Good service, friendly staffs, delicious food and good ambiance, what more can you ask for? Note that the shop does look small, not sure about upstairs seating though. Might need to book in advance if you have larger groups or want to be seated during peak hours.

Great place. Was recommended by a number of locals to us and did not dissapoint.
My only mistake was trying the shark for the first time without asking how they prepare it first. Iy is fermented and has a very sharp taste and smell. Did not enjoy that dish.
As for the rest - was absolutely delicious. The smoked puffin had very unique taste and was the highlight of the dinner.
I ordered whale pepper steak, enjoyed it greatly. We also had halibut amd langoustines which were prepared immaculately!
Did not leave room for dessert :(

Outstanding restaurant! Went here for a Thanksgiving meal far from home. Did not disappoint. We had the herring appetizer which my mother and husband loved (I am not a fan of herring so I skipped). For main courses we had lamb filet, halibut with langostine and wild sea bird (Puffin) in a wine reduction. Dessert was homemade vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauce. Rekya vodka and white wine. Skipped the coffee. Currently delirious. Restaurant staff was lovely and the space was quite pretty.

I'd give it 5 stars but the salty cod was very salty. Very, very salty. We spent $50USD for salt and we were lucky enough to get fish with it. Although the puffin, potato soup, and horse steak was good.

A serious pizza to be fair. Great job. I'll be back again soon.

Try the ravioli. Very good. Order a pizza to go. The quantity is so less you would feel hungry soon.
27.12.2017 Magnus
F**ing disgusting. We were sitting next to the pizza maker. The heaters where behind us. The waiter then dropped our childrens pizza right in front of us, told us that they would make another one. The waiter put the pizza RIGHT ON THE HEATER BEHIND US. Then a few moments later he brought it back to us. Claiming it was a new one.

Ok food, better to spend a bit more and get amazing food somewhere else

All meals look great but completely lack in taste.
