Had a great experience at this hotel, it’s in an ideal location just by the old harbour, easy walking into the city or to the harbour for darker skies! Room was very clean and modern, had everything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, great selection of buffet style food, and they also provided an early take away breakfast on the day of our check out. We also used the spa twice, which was really relaxing! We ate at the restaurant on our first night, food was delicious. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

The hotel is really well located. The staff is polite and helpful. Breakfast is awesome. The only concern is that the hotel has no dedicated parking but that’s something we were aware of before booking. Found closeby street parking!

Brilliant hotel, great location close enough to centre to walk in (5-10 mins to bars and restaurants) but easy enough to park closeby to. Room was a good size and hotel had a really nice ambience aswell as a good coffee shop underneath. Only downside was we didn’t realise under 12s couldn’t use the spa facilities at any time which was disappointing.

Odd review we were told a 4 Star hotel. Rooms smaller than a travel lodge with IKEA type basic furniture. Concrete ceilings. This could be Icelandic style minimalist but not what we thought. The lobby and restaurant were nice and modern feel. We ate in the restaurant and my daughter said the Atlantic Char was the best fish dish she had ever eaten so that's a 5 . We had a few burgers asked for well done but pink in the middle so a 3 on that front. Breakfast very good. Nice selection of food and drinks. The bar staff in the evening were very very good and knowledgeable about local variants. You have to try the Icelandic Gin ot was wonderful just like the seasonal Christmas dark beer. A spa set in the basement so I guess this is what makes this venue 4 star and not a travelogue. All super clean including lobby and toilets. You will be happy here but expect a more basic room. Good position to walk to Lava Show, Fly Over Iceland,Wales Iceland. The Chocolate ice cream shop etc and about a 15/ 20 min walk to Rainblw street the busy part of town.

Stayed for 1 night. Location is near to harbour. Everything is good except location of wash basin is outside of the toilet. A bit strange. Other than that everything else is good.

I simply cannot say enough good things about the Hotel Grandi. If the rating system allowed it, I would give them 10 stars without hesitation! The service was the absolute highlight—we were treated like the Queen of England. The staff goes above and beyond in a way I have never experienced before.
The hotel itself is stunning; the great design really sets the mood, and the spa was very relaxing, exactly what we needed after a day of exploring. On top of that, the food was absolutely delicious, the room was quiet, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location is also fantastic for getting around Reykjavik.
I have to mention Marek, the restaurant manager. He truly made our stay unforgettable. His hospitality and attention to detail were simply unmatched.
I will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at Grandi by Center Hotels. Our room was very spacious and nicely designed, which made it comfortable for a three-night stay. When we arrived, the room was extremely hot, but we were able to cool it down after some time. In contrast, the bathroom remained quite cold throughout our stay, which was a bit inconvenient.

The lighting in the room was very good, and the hotel overall felt modern and well equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we had questions. We also really appreciated the location — it’s close to the harbor area and within easy walking distance to many restaurants and sights.

Overall, the hotel offers great amenities and a pleasant atmosphere, and we enjoyed our time there despite a few temperature issues.

Interesting museum to learn about the history of Iceland's fishery industry. We spend nearly 2 hours there! Good place for kids as well.

Visit the museum and get a tour. The exhibit on the cod wars is great. If you can get a tour of the coast guard vessel, that's also pretty cool.
