Everything is perfect except breakfast. The staffs, everybody so pretty.
Booking two months in advance costs 487 yuan more than booking last minute, so don't book too early. There are plenty of rooms available, so you don't have to worry about not having a place to stay.
We stayed at this hotel the first night on our Iceland trip. An easy drive from the airport and in a great location. The rooms were really nice and an excellent shower. Dinner in the restaurant was exceptional and service was great. A good selection of different options for breakfast also. We were even treated to the northern light which I was able to see from my bedroom window!
A great place to stay the night after the glacier tours. A very modern hotel that feels like a fortress. Directly across the street from the geysir. Rooms are sizable and the restaurant is good. Northern lights were visible from the front door.
⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆ Superior outside shell — economy inside. We arrived at the Geysir Hotel and first impressions were excellent. From the outside the property looks stunning, and the lobby and public areas are beautifully designed and feel very high-end. We were kindly upgraded to a Deluxe Room, which offered a very generous size. However, this is where the experience became mixed. The bathroom is large but...
A great hotel environment. I've taken an excellent breakfast and the incredible sight of the Northern Lights. My aim is to create a personal review, focusing on the visit. I'm prioritizing descriptions of the location and the overall atmosphere to provide a comprehensive sense of place. Staying at Hotel Geysir was an unforgettable immersion into the raw beauty of Iceland. Located directly across from...

The location is good, close to the geyser and the Golden Falls. The hotel is average (I think it's a motel)
Location/Transportation: The prime location in the Golden Circle. When you drive out of the hotel, you will see Geyser, Blue River, and Volcanic Lake on the left, and Golden Falls on the right. They are not far away. Lobby/Front Desk: Good service Room: Clean, tidy and spacious Hygiene: Very good Breakfast: Very rich Facilities: Shampoo and conditioner are available
A hotel with nice breakfast and friendly staff

The kids went for a ride with the horses. Just perfect. The horses was handled with care. Great scenery, friendly personell. Recommend!
A small, comfortable, and convenient place to stay if you are exploring the Golden Circle area. The rooms and facilities are shared, so it is more of a guesthouse or hostel-style setup rather than a hotel. The kitchen is basic with small convection burners and a microwave, good enough for preparing simple meals but not ideal for cooking anything too elaborate. Free parking is available and WiFi works...
So let me start by saying, the decor was beautiful here. Very comfortable beds and nice and clean. However, if you are at all sensitive to sound while trying to sleep this is not the place. The rooms have hardly any isolation in the walls and I could hear the people in the room next to me even when they were whispering. The host was very kind and responsive however and if quiet is not something you...
Absolutely recommended. Stayed 1 night and took a 2.5 hours horse ride, the instructors were awesome! Got the chance to know the owner of the place as well!!! Highly recommended cause this place feels like family, not commercialized, best attention to the client I asked a million questions cause I was curious and all of them were answered!! Was my first riding horse experience and I couldn’t have dreamt...
Average value for money. The owner is quite rude. Her advertisement says you can visit the farm and stable and enjoy the public areas, but she resents it if you do, especially if you don't buy a horseback ride with her. It's a nice place, but the rooms are very small, as you share a bathroom with others. The common room is very pleasant.
We booked a paddock ride for a six year old with no previous experience and were very happy with our visit. We got to meet some of the other animals and then he had a short ride. It started off in the paddock with helpful tips on how to ride, then a little excursion around the farm and finally another round in the paddock. Our guide was very thoughtful and made us feel very welcome. Absolutely recommended

The cabin was located on a mountain with a fantastic view. Hot water was already prepared for the bathtub when we arrived, but unfortunately it rained all night; otherwise, we could have enjoyed the aurora borealis while taking a bath outdoors. There were no toiletries in the bathroom; we had to call the front desk to have them delivered. However, there were some drawbacks. Although we specified a...
Well equipped. Good for group. It is convenient as every room with bathroom, but no washing machine.
Fairly cheap stay as for Iceland however the cottage itself was not the best. It was old and the kitchenette was dirty.
Good service, friendly beautiful Cottages

Had a great time there. The host personally greeted us upon arrival and showed where everything was. I especially liked the info posters of various Icelandic plants and animals hang around the place.
I'm not sure why this place is rated so high. It's one of the cheaper places in Iceland but it should be. The place has a smell like dirty socks, the room we had was the smallest and most claustrophobic in the country, and the breakfast of cereal and bread is not amazing. This was one of the few places that had slippers so I appreciate that and the price. I just don't think it deserves the extremely...
Thank you for welcoming us at the last minute when Iceland is completely full in summer, especially in the campgrounds. Your bed and breakfast has everything we needed a peaceful, clean, and well-organized place to rest. We really appreciated it!
We had a lovely time here! The location was wonderful and the owners are lovely people who clearly put a lot of effort and care into what they do. The location is fantastic with a beautiful view of the surrounding fields and the sunset was stunning. Breakfast was included, which added even more to our experience.
It's a house with 6 bedrooms, 1 common area, 1 kitchen & 1 dining room, and 2 bathroom. So we'll be sharing kitchen, bathroom etc with the other guests. The house is super clean and organized, kitchen is super complete, with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. The owner stay at a hillhouse nearby and will come to open the door for you and explain about everything. Good location. Very good customer service.
This hotel is a perfect choice if you are visiting the golden circle. Staff are friendly and the room was clean and tidy. Will visit again!
The room is clean and warm. You can park in front of your room. There is a grocery store beside the hotel
Check-in was fine, it’s at The Hill hotel across the street. The room itself is very basic. No tv, no microwave, no mini fridge. Just a bed, couch and bathroom. Bed was comfortable. There isn’t a sidewalk leading into the door, you have to wheel any suitcases over gravel. Extra charge for breakfast, 3400 ISK per person. Dinner is also very pricey. We ended up getting takeout pizza from Mika Restaurant...
Small grocery very close to the property. We grabbed sandwiches there for a quick snack just before they closed at 7pm.
EV charger on site. Great location in the middle of the Golden Circle. There was a restaurant right next to the guesthouse, and the main Hill Hotel across from the guesthouse has a nice restaurant.

What a beautiful hotel! Very well designed with attention to details (bravo to the interior designer!). Excellent service, everyone extremely welcoming. We had dinner and breakfast and we were impressed by the quality of the food. Needless to...
We had a reservation at The Hillguest house and had to come here for check-in, given that was the same item. As soon as in reception i've seen a sign with some general information + hot tub. We had to put aside some spa that day precisely because we hadn't enought time and i've asked some information because i've taken that sign like my last opportunity. The (Very very very kind and lovely) girl told...
The Hill was the least favourable location for us during our visit. Although the hotel itself is beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing - which I’m sure is probably part of its selling point to gain influencers that can take beautiful pictures there. But overall the stay was lacklustre. The pull out bed for our 15 year old was incredibly uncomfortable, we had to line it with pillows for her to get...
We spent our New Year’s Eve here and it was amazing. The hotel is small but that’s the charming part of it: no big crowds, everything feels like home, including the outstanding staff! Cosy, well decorated and conveniently located at the heart of the Golden Circle. It was perfect! I would an only recommend a refurbishment of the bathrooms (although they are functional, this hotel deserves a bit more...
The hotel is lovely and they'd decorated it with fairy lights for Christmas which was cute. However, the woman at reception (in charge?) was quite unwelcoming, which set the tone for the rest of the staff - curt and not a smile between them (with the exception of the lovely South American man). I'd also emailed a few days before with a question. Got a reply saying I'd soon get a reply from reception...

The room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was super cute. The hot tub was open from 3 PM to 9 PM, not super hot but very relaxing. There's a chance to see the Northern Lights while soaking! Peaceful place with incredible view. We went in December and while the weather was cold and windy, the house was very well isolated and warm. We really enjoyed our short stay at the Brekkugerdi Guesthouse. Different than having a whole apartment or cottage to yourself, you will have a private room in a house with a shared kitchen. The owner is really helpful and sweet. The rooms, wc, baths, kitchen are really clean. The atmosphere made us feel home. The location is close to some important places in golden circle. Great place to stay. Rooms are clean and modern. Friendly owner. My only negatives are that the kitchen could do with some signage on how to operate the induction hobs and where the microwave is hidden! Both are not obvious, at all. One of the friendliest and most comfortable guest houses I’ve ever stayed in, not just in Iceland but ever! Excellent location. Can easily visit the golden circle from here. Better than comparable priced hotels in the city. Sink in bedroom, shared showers. We were even able to check in super late without any issues! Very accommodating! My favorite stay of the three places we stayed while visiting Iceland. Comfy bed!
This guesthouse is nice and clean, you have to take a short gravel road to get there. The room was very small, but it had a sink and a good heating system to dry the clothes. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The breakfast was good, there was ham and cheese, bread, skyr, cereal and cake. But it starts very late, at 8am. Tea and coffee are available all day long. Pretty view from the dining room
I was so pleasantly surprised by this place. We've stayed in some beautiful homes during our trip but this is an absolute treat. There are about 10 rooms. Extremely comfortable stay. We had a room on the ground floor and shared two fully equipped bathrooms with other guests on the floor. That was no problem at all. We could not been any happier with this hotel. It has matched our expectations. It has a beautiful setting and lovely staff. The grounds, especially the historic church, are well worth seeing. We enjoyed a dinner with local fish and lamb at the restaurant. The breakfast buffet included several options. We loved the beet juice served in small glasses.

We had a good time. We left everything in order. But the landlady sent a message: I want to say that my house is a mess; you left it in a terrible state, completely unusable. And did you also scatter food in the forest? My dogs found it and ate it. I hope they don't get sick. And what's worse, you left the door open! There are mice in the forest, I don't want them in my house! I don't understand...
This was a very cute stay. The view from the property was awesome. And there were many things to do around the area, even though it felt secluded.
The cottage was perfect for a couple days exploring the area. Very clean and cosy. The kitchen had everything we could need. Only challenge was that we never received check-in instructions and key code. We had to call the property owner to get the key code.
Perfect place to stay This beautiful cottage was an excellent place to stay for our family. We slept well, it was quiet and having a full kitchen was perfect for our dinner and breakfast. It was a bit confusing with finding a code to open the door in our reservation materials. Thankfully the key box was not locked (so we didn’t need the code) to obtain the house key.
Property itself is nice but there were lots of midges around and we all got a good bite. Insect still got into the property even with windows closed. It would have been nice if we knew it beforehand then we can bring some repellent. Another thing was we never received any check-in information (code for lock) but luckily we were able to reach the property owner by phone.
We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in.

I cannot recommend these cottages enough! They are in the perfect location: not too far from Reykjavik or the southern coast, next to the beautiful Thingvellir national park, surrounded by gorgeous mountains, and very quiet and secluded. The cottage space was utilized so well, including a cook top, kettle, and other kitchen necessities, as well as TV that rotates to the couch and bed, and easy-to-use...
The location is very clean, and you have a small kitchenette to cook some hot food if you like. It's a great spot to look at the Aurora when it appears. Also, they have some games that you can play with the family. It's a quiet location to enjoy some strolls near the lake or in a small forest.
The bathroom was a bit dirty, likely because the window above the toilet was always open, resulting in dust accumulation on the toilet, sink, and floor. The kitchen had a portable induction cooker, and the tableware was fairly complete, but some dishes had some grease residue. The overall environment was quite nice.
This place is amazing. Location is prime, the rooms are so warm and very well thought. The host are very responsive. We had such a magical stay.

Stayed at this lovely hostel, akin to Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel. One of the best meals I’ve had in Iceland! Everything was very reasonably priced and full of flavour. Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The only downside was all of the towels and bedding smelled like mildew. This place will always hold a special place in my heart though, because it was where I saw the northern lights for the first time in my life!
Pretty much what you’d expect for the usual price, small rooms with run down amenities. The bathroom was fairly large but the shower didn’t drain well. Not really worth it for holiday weekends where the price is higher. We booked for the proximity to the geyser but in hindsight should’ve booked something in Selfoss instead.
We stayed at Bjork Guesthouse as we wanted to start our Golden Circle trip early, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Very Clean very friendly, well updated older building be sure to know that all of the room do not have ensuite bathroom
Excellent place to stay on the Golden Circle in Iceland. Lovely quiet, clean accommodation. Staff were lovely also. I ate in the restaurant, pizza, and it was delicious and huge portion of a pizza. Had breakfast in the morning and that was excellent also. Great ample spaces for parking. Handy grocery store few hundred metres away. Comfortable clean bed and room. Would definitely stay again
We stopped in today for a late lunch even though we weren't staying at the hotel. The service, atmosphere and views are amazing. Our server was so sweet. I had the fish and chips. Locally caught Cod and hand battered and fried. It's was perhaps the best I've ever had. I highly recommend. My wife had the chicken salad and loved it. If you are driving by, definitely stop in for a meal and a history lesson...
We had the family apartment with our own kitchen and living room. It was perfect for the 5 of is. The staff is very friendly and helpful. In the lobby was anlot of antique furniture and some toys and books for kids. On our first night we saw the northern lights and it was the perfect location to check out geysir and thingvellir.
Beautiful location, close to a lovely hot spring spa with a 10% discount with staying here, historic building. Downside was the bright lights outside the window without blackout shades made it difficult to sleep.
We loved this cute, historic guesthouse. It was cosy and inviting and the food in the restaurant was good.

I can not say enough about this Hotel! The location is perfect if want to see the Northern Lights. The staff at Landhotel are amazing. Adel helped us map out all the must see places and then told us about ones only the locals know about. The food at Tindur was delicious. Erik’s recommendations were on point every time. Can’t wait to come back!

I stayed four nights on the Golden Circle and found this place to be incredibly helpful. I was satisfied with all the facilities and experienced no inconveniences. If you have any requests or needs, they'll take care of them promptly. **35 minutes from Sir...

Fantastic accommodations within an even more wonderful community. Staff were kind and helpful. Sólheimar is a model of how we should all live with one another and with our Earth. Couldn’t have had a better stay!
We booked the appartment which had two rooms, the rooms were cosy and nice, with a beautiful view overlooking the village and nature. The shared kitchen and dining room was nice to sit in, we had another family in with their own chef, who assisted us a bit in finding everything. Cosy and nice

- the location was very good for sightseeing - the staff was very friendly - good breakfast with good times - good dinner with good fish - can hear the sound of the neighboor rooms very loud - the room was clean
We spent one night here after a long day of travel arriving in Iceland and sightseeing on the Golden Circle. The hotel is located in the country 25 minutes north of Selfoss. The interior was a bit dated with some carpet that needs to be replaced. But this hotel has 2 nice hot tubs and a sauna. We ate dinner and breakfast here as we were tired and far from town. Both meals were excellent. Our...
Great touring base. Rooms need an upgrade but it was comfortable and everything worked well. No complaints just a bit basic. Food was great if a tad pricey. The location was good for touring south Iceland
We were supposed to stay at their sister hotel, Fosshotel Glacier Lagoon but were unable to keep our reservation due to road closures and weather. This is the hotel we were transferred to. I would describe our experience here as average. It would be much nicer if the hot tubs were indoor as it can be quite cold in the winter months to sit in water that is only 40 degrees celsius. The hot tubs also...
Exactly what our family needed: a family room for four. Bonus: the room has two bedrooms with two televisions, robes for everyone to use, soap, shampoo, conditioner, mini refrigerator. Diverse breakfast buffet. The chef made the bacon perfectly and the hard-boiled eggs also showed expertise in breakfast-making. We enjoyed the dinner. Kids’ meals are a very good value. Adult choices were chicken...
The hotel did not disappoint. We went there looking for some peace in quiet in a cosy place, surrounded by nature - and that's what we got. The landscape is great and you can see Hekla in the distance. There is a fire place in the bar-lounge area and that makes for a great evening experience. Two hot-tubs and a sauna also on premises. Hot tubs are quite big and have 2 different temperatures, which...
