Everything is perfect except breakfast. The staffs, everybody so pretty.

Booking two months in advance costs 487 yuan more than booking last minute, so don't book too early. There are plenty of rooms available, so you don't have to worry about not having a place to stay.

The room was clean and tidy, and the location was excellent. Breakfast and dinner were both good. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance, and the food and wine selection were good. I would highly recommend staying here if you're planning a trip to the Golden Circle; the aurora viewing at night should also be spectacular.

Geysir Hestar is a great place to stay on the Golden Circle. I was with a big group who rented the large guesthouse for nearly 2 weeks. Great place to stay. Well thought out room layout and bathroom has a floor heating system. No TV but has a nice view of a stream in the back, which I prefer more. The breakfast buffet was good. Would stay again if visiting the area in the future.

Peaceful place with incredible view. We went in December and while the weather was cold and windy, the house was very well isolated and warm. It is located on a small hill, giving you a good view on the distance landscape. The window of the bedroom is oriented North, allowing you to view to Northern Lights while lying in bed.

Can’t recommend this guesthouse enough. Such a friendly and welcoming host! The rooms were immaculate and very comfy, perfect for winding down after a long day exploring Iceland. This guesthouse is nice and clean, you have to take a short gravel road to get there. The room was very small, but it had a sink and a good heating system to dry the clothes. Extremely comfortable stay. We had a room on the ground floor and shared two fully equipped bathrooms with other guests on the floor. That was no problem at all. Coffee, tea and cake were always on the house. Breakfast was decent too. The rooms had one too few power outlets though. They also have a hot tub for guests. Highly recommended.

We had a good time. We left everything in order. But the landlady sent a message: I want to say that my house is a mess; you left it in a terrible state, completely unusable. And did you also scatter food in the forest? My dogs found it and ate it. I hope they don't get sick. And what's worse, you left the door open! There are mice in the forest, I don't want them in my house! I don't understand...

This was a very cute stay. The view from the property was awesome. And there were many things to do around the area, even though it felt secluded.

The cottage was perfect for a couple days exploring the area. Very clean and cosy. The kitchen had everything we could need. Only challenge was that we never received check-in instructions and key code. We had to call the property owner to get the key code.

Perfect place to stay This beautiful cottage was an excellent place to stay for our family. We slept well, it was quiet and having a full kitchen was perfect for our dinner and breakfast. It was a bit confusing with finding a code to open the door in our reservation materials. Thankfully the key box was not locked (so we didn’t need the code) to obtain the house key.

Property itself is nice but there were lots of midges around and we all got a good bite. Insect still got into the property even with windows closed. It would have been nice if we knew it beforehand then we can bring some repellent. Another thing was we never received any check-in information (code for lock) but luckily we were able to reach the property owner by phone.

We really loved this place. It is in the middle of nowhere - but everything in Iceland kind of is. It was so peaceful here. The cottage was bigger than i imagined. The kitchen has basics like salt/pepper/oil. Close to the famous golden circle destinations so you get an early start in the loop before the rest of the tourists join in.

The bathroom was a bit dirty, likely because the window above the toilet was always open, resulting in dust accumulation on the toilet, sink, and floor. The kitchen had a portable induction cooker, and the tableware was fairly complete, but some dishes had some grease residue. The overall environment was quite nice.

Amazing location with horses (!!) and all the basics covered. There is a bar (you can run a tab and pay at check out) and a hot tub, but it was winter, so didn't try that. The breakfast left something to be desired and there wasn't quite enough seating in the living space for our entire group, but no real complaints otherwise! I'd def stay here again as a basecamp for day excursions.

I loved this place very much. The Laugarvatn Fontana spa is very close to this place. I got a room facing the road though. But I wouldn't complain. The shower room however gives you amazing views from the other side of the property. Our room was a twin sharing room, everything neat and well maintained. This was the perfect stay for our needs being our first stop after the red eye to Iceland. Fully caught up on sleep and got set up for the rest of the trip. Lots of kitchen facilities and a clean bathroom.

Good for a quick night's sleep! A cute and quiet little area with a great restaurant 2 minutes away. Bathroom was clean and beds were comfy. The room was very clean and the bath sparkled. Everything looks new. Space was great. Beds were comfortable. It's an easy walk to restaurants. There was a teapot and coffee and tea, and a refrigerator. There's no kitchen in the building, at least to my knowledge.

It's close to the hot springs. The room is not big, but overall it's good. The price is very low. It's also close to the gas station and the grocery store. The only thing I'm afraid of is the bathroom. The water is very slow.

Beautiful location, close to a lovely hot spring spa with a 10% discount with staying here, historic building. Downside was the bright lights outside the window without blackout shades made it difficult to sleep.

We stopped here to get out of the weather, and what a great place. The hot tub was a great break. They also have their own thermal pool, horses and dogs and amazing views.

I stayed at this house in May2019 and it was the best accommodation of our entire trip. Today, its July 2021, 15 months of not stepping out of our home due to the pandemic. I wish i could go back to sitting on the wooden bench in front of this guesthouse, with a beer in my hand and just stare into the horizon. I wish!!

Directions to this place is on the same turn as the hotel under construction. Water pressure was low. Not great, but useable. The heat was pretty good when turned on. Wifi was not good for me at all. Even though I was connected with full bars, nothing would load. Not sure what the issue was. So be prepared to be without internet during your stay. Great place to stay for a visit to the South coast of Iceland! Booked via Airbnb. Host was responsive; everything was super clean; shower and kitchen facilities were great; bed was comfy; and there was a nice porch for relaxing under the stars. The view was amazing and we had access to a hot tub at the main house. We would definitely stay again!

We appreciated the one-mattress queen-size bed, something we found to be a rarity in our Iceland trip (the norm seemed to be two twin-beds slammed together, which just isn't the same thing. The staff was helpful and the facilities clean and well-maintained. The only negative was the fact that the hotel charged a separate fee to use the hot tub.

We booked the appartment which had two rooms, the rooms were cosy and nice, with a beautiful view overlooking the village and nature. The shared kitchen and dining room was nice to sit in, we had another family in with their own chef, who assisted us a bit in finding everything. Cosy and nice
