Cozy little place with all the cooking utensils one could need. There were two bathrooms with showers shared with 4 other rooms, which is very good considering the low price. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The owner was very nice and helped us with all our problems. I would definitely recommend going here if you need a place to stay!

Cons:
-We got there and the house had clearly been out of toilet paper long before we arrived. 2 days in there were no more paper towels (because the guests had resorted to using them as toilet paper). Called the number listed on the reservation to ask for toilet paper and the confused property owner picked up and asked how I got his number. Someone did come by with toilet paper within the hour! :)
-I also found that the dishwasher was filled with moldy dishes that certainly hadn't been touched for awhile. Ick...
Pros:
-Good location
-Easy parking
-Comfortable bed
-Bathroom surfaces were clean
I was left with the impression that the property is disorganized and that the manager barely bothers to clean the place. I would change my rating to 3.5 (or even 4) stars if the place had been properly cleaned and stocked.
Your options for travel accommodations are limited out here, but the price was way too high for a guesthouse that hadn't been prepared for its guests.

For being in the middle of nowhere this was one of the best GuestHouse in Iceland. Do you share a guesthouse with five other rooms but there's enough area where you can feel like you're the only one there. Plus there's a hot tub you can use

This is a cozy guest house in beautiful Stykkishólmur, a town surrounded by water. Making a reservation was very easy. Check-in was self-service. The bedroom and shared bathroom were comfortable and clean. The spacious living and dining room was a great place to relax, and the view from the picture window was spectacular. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cooking utensils and a dishwasher. The Bónus grocery store, Stykkið Pizzagerð and community swimming pool are just a 5 minute walk away.

Great B&B! Clean rooms, great accommodation which you share with other guests. You can use the kitchen to prepare your own meal and enjoy the hottub while watching the Northern light.
