Reviews
Chairs were awkwardly placed in the foyer area near the lift, walls showed visible dirt and cracks in the plaster, and the overall upkeep left much to be desired. The towels provided were worn out, the bed was old with springs that had lost their resilience, and the bed sheet was not clean. To make it worse, the Internet connectivity was below average.
Breakfast was strictly vegetarian with very limited options, which might not suit all guests. On the positive side, the hotel staff were polite and humble, which was the only redeeming factor in an otherwise disappointing stay.
Overall, the property requires significant maintenance and upgrades before it can truly match the image its name suggests.
The location is very good as it's a Central point from where you can go anywhere.
The rooms are good, not that big but not even that small also.
Love the breakfast. Have ordered room service also at times and the food is good.
For the per room price, the overall experience is really good!
Room and washroom are clean and organized. Hot water was not coming in night in washroom but was coming in morning. Stay was good without any issues. You can also order food from outside.
- Big Shout out to the manager, Abhsihek who was friendly, cordial and helpful at every turn.
- We requested for late checkout, and he adhered to the request and ensured everything remained smooth for us.
The Bad part:
- They charged us for missing towels! This is completely unheard of for me so far. The implication here being we might have taken the towels. Coming from another country, we had three big bags (heavy) and we were offloading things from our bags to make it possible to carry them and then comes this unpleasant experience. Isn't it the responsibility of the maintenance crew to check for them rather than bill us for that? Did not seem professional and we paid 2k+ for few missing towels (which seems really pricey and almost a scam)
- The Breakfast was an okay affair. However the manager there, came to me before I even sat down asking me to pay the bill for breakfast. Now I had already made the booking with breakfast included. When I showed him the receipt, he mentioned there was miscommunication between him and the hotel reception. Now why include the guests in your miscommunication? Did not seem professional as well
- The room was quite nice and clean, however, we had booked it for three guests. They charged us for three guests but the facilities given was for two guests and the room was small for three people. We hardly had space to move around. The charge was for three people but facilities for two people. Did not sit well for me. I am not sure how things run in hotels of Bangalore but this did not make logical sense.
It did seem like we overpaid for the facilities and also for the towels (they claimed missing).
Would we stay there again? No, because paying premium for such services was a drag. By paying little more, we can go for good brands where such scams (paying for towels!) can be avoided. I think it will take some time to get over this experience.
