Great ambiance, located in a safe and quiet part of the city center close to MG Road. Friendly staff, and allowed me to check in upon a late arrival. I never tried their breakfast.
If you are an international looking for a budget-friendly hotel, this could be it.
The facilities weren’t the cleanest, but the bed was comfortable and cozy.
You have to carry a lock key around with you. One thing I found a little off putting was the lock situation. The door locks from both sides. Essentially you could get locked in your room.

If you want an affordable, safe, quiet stay in this area, Golden Lotus is for you. If you're used to western hotels, this may not be your thing. This is a classic, old-school Indian hotel with all of the charms and oddities you may expect.
The rooms are very large, the staff is helpful and friendly (but not in the overly sycophantic way of the 5 star Indian Hotels). Most of the staff speak Hindi only, but we were able to communicate my requirements without much difficulty. There is breakfast and food to order available in the hotel. It is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood less than 10 minutes from the MG Metro Station. There is 24 / 7 security at the front gate. Wifi could be a bit faster, but works well.

Booked for three days but had a doubt if we’ll stay for 3 days so we paid for 2 nights initially. Got in and the beds were super nice and clean. Thats all about the place i could say good about. The floors were dirty, the bathroom floor had some black stuff that kept poking my feet, everything was old but i guess they were going for that appeal. There was no complimentary breakfast (when i pay 4000rs a night, I’m expecting it to have complimentary breakfast), the staff kept hounding us about the third nights payment when we said that we would staying for the third day, its as if we would run away without paying. Would never recommend this place to anyone

Found dirty undies just as I slipped into the bed to sleep. Suggesting beds sheets were not changed. The manager had the nerve to accuse me of leaving them there. Stayed two nights never again and wouldnt suggest amyone either.

Contrary to the area that you see on entering vasudev adigas their dining area on top floor is pretty good. Was not happy with the staff. They seemed lost. It wasn't even a busy day. I had to keep calling them to take the order, to follow up on where the food is and to get the bill. I asked them if I could use their WiFi to get some work done while I was there. The guy at the cash counter said WiFi is not for guests and continued to watch some movie on his YouTube on high volume which was pretty weird.

I know, I know -- southern India isn't really known for naan, and my caveat is that I've never been to northern India. BUT I've had a helluvalot naan in my American life of enjoying Indian food, and Le Jardin's naan -- as well as its Kesari Bhaat (my new food obsession), its chutney varieties, and informative chefs -- really stood out to me.
My husband and I went for the breakfast and were immediately awed by the grounds of the hotel itself, even if it did have a little bit of a colonial feel, which isn't really my thing. Most of the staff, per usual in India, respectfully addressed my husband first and didn't really look at me until I spoke.
But the quality of the food and otherwise excellent service made the experience memorable. We especially enjoyed how the chefs seemed genuinely passionate about their art and trade, and were willing to impart their knowledge of Indian food and culture with us. Highly recommended, especially for foodies.

One of the best buffets in town. This restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is sumptuous as are lunch and dinner. The lunch and dinner spreads have a section for diabetics, where desserts are specially made for them. The first I have seen in India. Located conveniently. Service is par excellence. All this comes at a price, which is at par with restaurants of this class

Bad food. Very polite staff but they don't do anything.
I asked for very mild food but it was incredibly painful to eat as it was too spicy. And the prices are obviously high so I feel that this is a complete ripoff.
Update: Management really cares about customer happiness. Their hands are tied when it comes to offering stuff. But I was happy at their commitment to make me feel good.
