Excellent and very warm staff, especially Saily and Rani at the front desk. Value for money experience. Perfectly located near the heart of the city. A quaint hotel with lots of traditional character. It is also situated in a great position for seeing the city and going to restaurants. The pool area is very small and only has three sunbeds but it was a welcome relief in the intense heat. The food was of a reasonable standard.

Very friendly staff. Inquired about upgrading our room and they provided the upgrade free of charge.

We booked same type of room but got different ones (not the one we booked). They gave twin beds without any special request. On questioning, the staff told that as all the rooms are booked, they cannot change our room. Moreover, staff was rude and arrogant.

2. horrible experience. this hotel is loosing its dignity by worst basic services. if you can’t provide at least two bottles of complimentary mineral water on paying over 2,600 per night is worthless to stay.

The hotel was nice. The staff was helpful. Although i was expecting that they would provide the basic daily need items like toothpaste and bodywash. Also i hoped that a hotel with daily charge of rupees will have iron facilities as well. Still it was overall a good stay.

Location wise its good. I would list it under 2.5 star category, this doesn't mean that it's bad but based on Global Standards O would say that this place is good and worth considering oneof the option for stay and gatherings. The best part of this hotel is the location. :)

We visited its restaurant at ground floor for a dinner with friends. My wife has allergy for spices and the chef was personally informed about the situation but to no avail. She finally enjoyed a serving of Salad which would have been same anywhere in the world 😉. The food was ok but the service was not what we expected from such a renowned chain.

We stayed 2 nights here, me and my 2 older teenage daughter and son. The room was big enough. Amenities were the usual for this type of property. Breakfast buffet was very nice. Christmas buffet was wonderful! Normal dinner buffet was so so. I would suggest to have more non Indian options (we like Indian food but the spice in it can be too much when you’re travelling in India for a long time…). Overall...

As others have said it really is a place of faded glory. The rooms are all individual and with varying degrees of comfort. Great decoration and paintings. I can imagine that 30 years ago this hotel was fantastic, but now is quite old and badly needs a lift up. Despite that, people at the hotel are very nice and overall is not too bad for a 3* hotel (probably a 2* for US standards)
