Simsan Hotel in Chennai

Terrible experience! Rooms are filthy, full of dust, and even had a cockroach on the door. Everything — TV, hot water, small requests — needs approval from reception. Staff refused a simple phone charger request. I have a dust allergy, and this stay completely ruined my visit. Never ever stay here.

One of the worst hotel and service i had experienced ever in my life. Starting from check in till check out entire service was worst. i don't want to mention anything because everything in this hotel is worst. Not recommended to any kind of customers to this place. Waste of money and time. Very unprofessional management taking over this place think so.

This was by far the worst stay of my life. The staff here are extremely unprofessional and don’t even have the basic manners required to talk to customers. I stayed for 4 days, and shockingly, not once did anyone come to clean the room or even ask if housekeeping was needed. The overall maintenance of the property is very poor. The bathroom fittings were old and rusted, making the experience highly uncomfortable and unhygienic. For the kind of price they charge, one would at least expect cleanliness and basic upkeep, but it was completely missing. On top of that, the food and beverage prices were unreasonably high. A single cup of tea was charged at ₹45, and even a simple 1-litre Bisleri water bottle was overpriced at ₹40. It felt like they were exploiting customers with inflated rates for even the most basic items. Overall, the combination of rude staff, lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and overpriced food made this stay extremely unpleasant. I would strongly advise others to avoid this place and look for better options that actually value customers and provide a decent standard of service.

Very badly maintained & run down property. This used to be an excellent hotel many years ago but now run down & in very bad shape after change in management & name. There are much better options in the vicinity & now it's better to avoid unless there is no other option available.

I will share my experience 1st we went as a family for that hotel as the building was big and reception lobby was great but after booking the room only we came to know it was not a hotel for family members. Staffs are rude, reception people are very rude. Then room was filled with cigarette smell as it is centralized ac, ac didn't cum but cigeratte smell came very well, tv didn't work, floors are not cleaned & when we complained they r giving reply in a rude manner and arguing with us toilet was built in an ancient period and room was very dirty. Then restaurant in simson was very expensive but if u ask the menu they will reply us in a threatening way we don't have. Not my family alone faced this problem people who were there also telling this place is not a place for family members. I haven't seen any of the hotel that staffs are ordering and rude to customers. Better don't go believing the lobby and big building they are cheating us...
