V7 Hotel in Chennai

We had stopped by to eat at the restaurant in this hotel. We ordered three dishes, chicken sweet corn soup, rotis with some chicken gravy and the half roast chicken which as per their menu states it comes with roasted vegs and potato wedges. The waitress was clearly writing down our order and the chicken gravy, roti and soup all came fine but after eating all that and waiting for the half roast chicken meal it never came. We then asked the waitress about it who acted confused as if we hadn't ordered anything else. She then went into kitchen to place our order claiming it would only take 2 minutes which was just a lie. Then what came out was just tandoori chicken with nothing else even though the menu clearly stated the meal came with other things. We complained to the waiters and they said that meal was not available and that we ordered tandoori chicken which is just chicken but tandoori chicken was not even on the menu! We asked what the price of this tandoori chicken would be since it's not even on the menu and they tried to say it's the same price! Which is ridiculous since it comes with nothing just the chicken. After that they tried to correct their mistake by serving the other items but instead of potato wedges they served a handful of chips, and then veggies which didn't look roasted at all. This is quite possibly the worst service I've ever experienced in a restaurant especially considering the prices they charge! And there was barely anybody in the restaurant too. Please do not come here, these people don't even know what's on their own menu and the staff don't know how to do their jobs.

One of the worst hotel check-in experiences I’ve had. Despite having a confirmed online booking with all our details, the front desk receptionist insisted that we send an email with our names as proof that we were responsible for ourselves. If the booking was already confirmed online, why was this unnecessary process forced on us? It showed a complete lack of common sense and poor training.

The receptionist was rude, unhelpful, and had no idea how to treat customers with basic courtesy. She made us feel unwelcome from the moment we arrived. A front desk is the face of a hotel, and unfortunately, this receptionist was the biggest red flag.

Adding to the disappointment, nearly half of the hotel was under renovation. The rooms looked more like a storage godown than a proper hotel room, which was not what we expected based on the listing.

Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. Because of the poor customer service and the condition of the property, we have decided never to stay here again. I would not recommend this hotel to families, couples, or anyone looking for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.

We reached at 22:45hrs and check in at 23:00hrs. We requested for 2 room keys which was denied saying only one key is issued. We had to take our own luggage and hunt for our room - nobody to escort. Since restaurant was closed we ordered from room service they give you option of only Bugers and sandwich but finally managed to get chicken fried rice (decent enough). No Hot water for shower (After cold shower upon checking with Reception was told that they provide hot water in the bucket). Shower drain clogs and the health faucet sprays from all sides. The drawer is broken. The hot water kettle is a damaged one. The sheets and towels are stained ( the Executive Housekeeper will inform you that they are washed but stains are not going). Curtains not fixed properly. Socket not working. Morning breakfast below average even Idlis, with no proper cutlery. If you request to meet the General Manager of the property, always busy in ZERO result oriented meetings. I am saying this because no analysis of past reviews are done and same terrible stay for high rates. We are charged closer to double price that is shown online. This hotel has extremely poor hygiene. Every corner and surface is covered in dust, making it an uncomfortable and unhealthy environment to stay in. The rooms were not cleaned properly, and it seemed like no effort was made to maintain basic cleanliness standards. The bathroom was also dirty, with stains and a foul odor. Even the common areas like the lobby and hallways were dusty and unkempt. I’ve stayed in many hotels before, but this was by far the worst experience of my life. I would not recommend this place to anyone under any circumstances.
