Regenta Central Deccan in Chennai

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour; unfortunately, it was far too short! The reception at the hotel with a shell necklace, a "dot on the forehead," and a welcome drink was very warm and very pleasant after a long journey. Our suitcases were brought to the room. The room was very spacious, a bit dated but clean and tastefully furnished. Good bed! The bathroom could use a more thorough cleaning with limescale remover. But everything was fine by Indian standards. I missed a hairdryer (but I'm sure I could have gotten one at the reception), and I also ordered an extra small towel. All the staff are very friendly and attentive to their guests. Breakfast and dinner are buffet-style with a good selection and are tasty. Everything is very attractively presented. There is also a good selection for Western palates. The furnishings and decor of the dining room are good and modern. The hotel has a bar, which we highly recommend. The hotel pool has a beautiful view, but is quite small. The adjacent shopping mall offers wonderful shopping opportunities. Overall, we felt very comfortable in the hotel and can recommend it!

We had a function in their party hall. Hall was nice, food was great, service fantastic but alas their sound system was very old and pathetic. The amplifier had no Bluetooth connectivity. Suffered from loose cable also. They need to upgrade, otherwise customers would upgrade to a better hotel.

Regenta Royal Orchid Hotels always meets or exceeds expectations. We have stayed with them and have put up our guests with Regenta. No regrets ever: MPG Mahabaleshwar, Kalyani Nagar Pune, Central Deccan Chennai… All great so far.
