When in Chennai, Gokulam Park has become the must go place! At least twice a year, a get-together is organised by our Retiree Group. The place is centrally located with connectivity to public transport systems like Bus, Metro and offers Valet parking, if you use your transport. The restaurant is spacious and can comfortably seat over 60 pax. However, out of goodwill, they offer us a free hall for a couple of hours and set a good vegetarian buffet lunch spread for our group. Food is very good and safe on your stomach!

Tv was not working....Towels need to be asked..room coffee was not there. Last time I stayed about 4 months back..things were very good

This property is renovated and hence looks sparkling and clean. Staff are very professional and helpful.

Wonderful experience, reception staff is energetic, friendly and attentive very much. Hk night staff is also good in manner.. I like the property also.. next time I will again come also.. near to metro station and shopping malls as well.....

After more than a year, around 18 of our colleagues decided to meet over lunch. Gokulam Park, being located centrally, was our unanimous choice. The ambience was good and the service was great! We ordered a South Indian Thalli Meals each and enjoyed the food. A good spread of gravies, vegetables, sweets and papad was awesome.

I've booked a 3 adult stay room.
While I was going for check in, the receptionist had no time to respond (could have been busy).

Then they said there is a 2 sharing room available, if you like that, take that(is that the way to treat a customer?)

Obviously I didn't like that room, even they forgot to clean the room.
After some 15 to 20 minutes of waiting..... they showed us another room with 2 small separate beds and told, this is the 3 sharing room....(I was like in which world is this 3 sharing)

Then they told they can provide me an extra bed in the floor.... but they didn't provide me.... that's another thing.

Then we 3 adjusted on 2 beds.

I've stayed at GOKULAM PARK before.... that was like heaven....and this time is my worst experience.

Luckily I booked online . if I could have gone in person, they might have charged around 6k.

We had limited rice where in the rice is over cooked and it was rough and tough! Other things served as side dishes of average taste. There is a room for improvement as they claim they are the best!

A good place to have traditional foods. A famous restaurant of Chennai. More than 20 years of service.

Saravana Bhavan is once famous for its quality vegetarian food. Now they have increased their branches everywhere but the quality and the taste of the food has come down. They skillfully selling ordinary meals as special meals by including some north Indian dishes and gaining more money. They have adequate parking place and rest room in this place.

We went for a dinner buffet after couple of failed attempts because it felt unconventional/doubtful about the quality of buffet in a sweet shop where It's USP some thing else. The crowd was very less even less then the waiters. The ambience and interior was nice and very retro in design. To start with the veg cream soup which is very good and perfect in all aspects. Then we went for sweet Boli which is very nice and crisp and then the Kara Boli which is like a Podi topped Parota. The Fried rice was nice along with veg kadai they provide. In Buffer you also get four types of Dosa with accompaniments which is normal and additionally you get Nan or Roti. The down side is their fried idli made of left over. You will also good Sambar rice, Gobi fry, curd rice and ice cream. Over all I would say it's mixed package in terms of taste and items served. But at this price point Rs. 220 I would consider this as a value for money. If they want to increase the foot fall they need to relook at the buffet menu.

Apart from tasty Indian food you also get Augratin and Pasta. Desserts are good too. Parking could be a problem on the main road.

Good variety of Sweets and Savouries. Savouries are available nowadays packed into zip lock pouch which is quiet convenient for travel. Lot ofready made Podis are also available packed in leak proof containers.

I had my buffet breakfast. Good spread. Very courteous and humble service.
