Great stay. MRC area is organized, clean, and one of the posh areas in Chennai. The hotel studio room size is spacious, comes with a great view, and a handful of amenities. The Taj Wellington Mews in Chennai is an excellent hotel, very close to IIT, Madras and the Institute of Mathematical Sciences near Adyar area of Chennai. Even though it is a 5-star hotel, it is priced very reasonably. The service is top-notch. The food is excellent. My only complaint is that there is too much food. The rooms are excellent as well. I’ve been staying at this hotel almost every year since 2010, with a short break during the Covid period and returned in April 2021 up until last month. It truly feels like a home away from home. The staff’s hospitality is consistently outstanding, they are always welcoming, friendly and go the extra mile to make each stay memorable. This place will always be my top choice whenever I’m in Chennai.

I went there on 13th November with my aged parents for my eye checkup at Sankara netralaya hospital,stayed there for 2 days. Everyone were very much helpful ,from receptionist to room service person and also those who were in the restaurant. Food was very much tasty. Executive room was quiet small for 3 person but room bathroom was very much clean. Definitely I will stay there in my next visit.

Fan room is not of much help because the fan is not fast emough and it is not in the center. A/C room is much better. The room layout is very nice. Housekeeping is admirable. A great hotel to return to.

We went in as a family and stayed in a delux room. The hotel is amazing with very good service and good food. They have kid friendly food options and even serve complimentary tea in the afternoon. Great location, helpful staff, decent breakfast spread and large rooms make it a good pick. The beds, however, need an urgent replacement. Though the hotel asks guests not to smoke many of them do smoke in the rooms and that can be a challenge. I had to change my room/floor because of this issue. But, the staff was very helpful.
