Kuta Suci Guest House in Kuta

I stayed for 3 nights at Kuta Suci Guesthouse. Firstly, the location is perfect with lots of restaurants and shops all around. The staff service was good and friendly. This place is decent enough for a budget stay, but the rooms weren't that good, which made my stay uncomfortable. There were mosquitoes everywhere, the bathroom was a bit stinky, with the washbasin sink clogged, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom made a rumbling noise which was so disturbing.

I stayed at Kuta Suci Guesthouse for a few nights and paid around £9 per night. The price was very affordable, and the location was excellent, situated on Jalan Pantai Kuta, surrounded by restaurants, coffee shops, market stalls, and convenience stores. The beach is just at the end of the road, so there’s plenty to do nearby.

However, my experience at the guesthouse itself was quite uncomfortable from the start. Upon arrival, I noticed a man in the reception area who seemed to be staff (he was conversing with the receptionist). He was staring at me and then called me “beautiful.” Normally, I wouldn’t be offended by a compliment, but in this case, it didn’t come from a place of simple kindness or observation, it felt more like a pickup line, crossing a boundary and making me uncomfortable. As a 19-year-old solo female traveller, this interaction felt especially inappropriate and unsettling, particularly since staff have access to guest information such as names and room numbers.

Additionally, my booking stated that the room included streaming services like Netflix, but when I turned on the TV, it wasn’t available. I went to reception to ask for help, and a staff member came out smoking a cigarette and wearing AirPods while on FaceTime. He followed me to my room still smoking, used my balcony ashtray to put it out, and continued his phone call while attempting to fix the TV. It felt very unprofessional and awkward.

The room itself was basic but provided everything I needed for my short stay. Considering the low price, it offered good value for money, and the location couldn’t be better. That said, the demeanour and behaviour of some staff members left me feeling uneasy and affected my overall experience.

Aside from those encounters, the guesthouse met my basic needs, but I wouldn’t rush to return anytime soon. I’d also encourage other young female travellers to take my experience into account before choosing to stay here.

If I could give 0 starts I would. First the room had 2 pieces of used gum in a shelf, and also an empty can of coffe so that should tell you something about their cleaning. Second, there was no wifi in the room when they advertised "fast wifi", and when I brought this to the host's attention she just ignored me until I got airbnb involved. After she decided to respond because airbnb contacted her, she offered a different room but I had to wait a couple of days, I agreed and when that day arrived, once again she started ignoring me, so I had to get airbnb support involved again and finally got a refund, which the host didn't approve so the refund came from airbnb itself. Please save yourself time and money and don't book here. The place is extremely gross, just look at the bathroom floor. And the host cares very little for you, do not stay here.

The staffs were ignorant, looks like they were more like security not the hospitality workers.
THE WIFI WAS SUCK! They have several id but nothing works properly. Even the wifi from Caracara just behind that is much better (ai stayed there too before).
