- Breakfast is diverse with cuisines from asians, westerns, Indians. But as a 5-star hotel, it lacks signature dish
- The egg and coffee section in breakfast buffet lacks signs to know what sorts are available
- The egg was really average, and does not have any other ingredients or flavour
- Early check-in, and check out for luggage storage are available
- Facilities and the room look very old. They did not check the usage of shampoo & body wash, which I had to call to mention
- The air-conditioner is very loud and unstatic output, which can be quite annoying for sound-sensitive people. We mentioned twice but we did not receive any feedback on whether it is the air con or updates
- The 2 swimming pool are excellent to chill and sunbath for relaxation
- Free shuttle service to Discovery Mall at 10am, 2pm, 4pm, 9pm. Return is 10:20am, 2:20pm, 4:20pm, 9:20pm. Usually the driver will have the sign of the hotel name
- They missed our pick-up shuttle at 9:20pm, although they compensated us for a free airport transfer in our last day, they did not apologise for the missing service, when we asked to have another shuttle service the next day and asked about missing schedule, the record actually lied, and said the pick-up was fulfilled.
- The price of the hotel and the facilities are quite overpriced when comparing to other 5-star resorts in Bali
In my opinion, the beach is more suitable for walks, enjoying beautiful views, and local boat transport rather than swimming, but the atmosphere by the water is very pleasant.
The hotel grounds are large, well-maintained, and very green – it's lovely just to walk around and spend time within the complex. I particularly enjoyed the cocktails – they were genuinely delicious.
Breakfast offers a buffet with a good selection; I think everyone will find something to their taste.
In the evenings, there are various entertainment programs, including live music, which creates a very pleasant atmosphere. There are also movie screenings – we didn't attend them, but the idea itself is great.
Overall, we liked the place. It's especially suitable for those who prefer a hotel format where you can stay on-site and still have everything you need for a vacation right there.
More about the staff.
I checked in around 2 PM on the 12th. The front office staff member at the very front desk at that time (I forgot their name) seemed to lack understanding of the hotel's own information. They were evasive, avoided eye contact, and were busy looking around.
Suggestion: Front desk staff should be more knowledgeable about the hotel's information and maintain eye contact with guests to show courtesy and demonstrate quality as a hotel employee.
However, the bellboy at that time was very, very helpful.
On the same day I checked in, I was also not too pleased with the server at the Italian restaurant that evening. They kept speaking English when asked to speak Indonesian. It's not that I can't speak English, but it would be better to speak our own language to be more polite to local guests, showing respect and friendliness.
During my stay, the service from the bellboy and Eza, the waiter at the pool, was excellent.
BUT! The front desk and room service were absolutely terrible. Check-in took a very long time, and then we waited an incredibly long time for someone to show us to our room, even though it was right next door and we could have easily walked ourselves. Instead, they kept us waiting in the lobby, passing us between several different staff members. Additionally, one of our room key cards wouldn't open the door that night. We called three times from our friends' room across the hall and waited for half an hour, but no one from customer service came to help. In the end, we had to go to the front desk ourselves to get a new key card. The service experience really left a bad taste.
