JAPA Suites & Villas in Ubud

JAPA Suites & Villa is truly the best boutique hotel in Bali. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making us feel completely at home. The breakfast was delicious with great variety, and the beautiful gardens created a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere throughout our stay. Everything was impeccably clean, and what really stood out was the special, personalised care given to each guest. An unforgettable experience—we can’t wait to return!

Excellent experience. Very clean rooms and washroom. Friendly, responsive, quick and courteous service. They replied immediately on whatsapp to any queries. Beautiful resort and lovely villas. Location is prime. Walking distance to restaurants, monkey forest and tour companies. Thanks for a pleasant stay!

The front desk staff were friendly and polite, and every staff member had a smile on their face. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the welcome drink and afternoon tea were delicious. Adding their breakfast would be a great option, offering a wide variety of tasty choices, and you can even enjoy it in your room. Any service you need is readily available. There are also many restaurants and attractions nearby, making it the best choice for a trip to Ubud! 👍👍

It was an amazing stay at this villa. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always smiling. Starting our Bali experience here was a great decision. The breakfasts were delicious with a good variety of options. The grounds are very green and cozy — everything was impeccable. Thank you so much ☀️

I've made 2 reservations at this hotel with Agoda. The first night was the Deluxe Room, the next 5 nights was the Pancala Deluxe One Bedroom.
We arrived late and were shown the room on the first floor. I was devastated because the room was dark, has a molding smell, probably because of the wet weather in Ubud (everywhere I go, there's moss)
The toilet
and shower are outdoors with a locked door. At night, every time we opened the door to use the toilet there were flying insects and because it's outdoors, it's so humid and uncomfortable. The room has a King bed, with only one night stand on one side of the bed, no lights on the night stand.
There's a humidifier in the room. I was very unhappy so next day, I asked the server in the restaurant if all rooms have the outdoor bathroom. She immediately said that she will contact the team and find another room for us.
I was much happier with the room on the second floor, no balcony where they put a table and two chairs, the bathroom is indoor, yay!!
The door dead lock was not working, we almost had to contact the staff about the issue until my husband jiggly the lock and able to lock it.
The bathroom is dark and needs some additional lights. It would be nice to have a bigger TV and some mirror in the room.
If you can tolerate these issues then it's a good place to stay with reasonable price and walkable location

Unbeatable location, friendly staff willing to go extra miles for their guests. Easy to communicate 24/7 via WhatsApp. The facility itself is a bit outdated but staff does take excellent care of everything with frequent cleaning & maintenance. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the Ubud city center area.

The location was fantastic, and the facilities were great. It was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I was so satisfied that I extended my stay by an extra night. If you're heading to Ubud and looking for a reasonably priced accommodation that isn't a private pool villa, I highly recommend this place. However, the soundproofing in the connected rooms isn't great between the doors, so if you're a light sleeper, it might be a good idea to request a room that isn't a connected one!
