We stayed here for our one night stay in Ubud. The location was good for us - nice and quiet but still close enough to the places we wanted to visit. No shuttle to town, just a 15 min walk.
We ordered breakfast to the room - just perfect for a slow rainy morning. The room was well kept. And the staff was very friendly, nice and helpful.

Compared to other resorts in Ubud that cost thousands, Maya Ubud offers great value for money. The front desk kindly upgraded us to a villa for free. The resort is quite large, and both swimming pools are unique, offering views of a mountain stream. The hotel's dinner prices are also reasonable, and they even have free local cultural performances. All the staff members were incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The only inconvenience was that due to road construction, the hotel shuttle bus stopped not far from the hotel entrance, and this drop-off point was still quite a distance from attractions like the palace. I believe the hotel could easily choose an alternative route to drop guests off closer to their desired destinations.

The entire hotel is nestled right in a natural ecological environment. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and both breakfast and afternoon tea are excellent. There are yoga classes every morning and special performances in the evenings. Every single staff member is so enthusiastic and attentive. After checking out, I realized I'd left some items in the room. I emailed the hotel, and they told me they could deliver them to my next hotel, which I'm incredibly grateful for 🙏. They left a really great impression on us. Thank you again! 🥹

The Maya Spa and Resort exceeded expectations. Our room was luxurious and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We didn’t leave the resort the entire time which was fine since this is my third trip.
The spa is more expensive than what you can get outside but it was so convenient and gorgeous. You get to look at the river while enjoying a flower bath and drinking ginger tea.

The room was clean and the hotel itself was huge with beautiful public areas. Service was prompt whenever we needed anything. My only gripe is that the drinks in the minibar weren't complimentary. For a 2000-a-night room, that feels a bit stingy.

Very beautiful and large territory. Hotel was perfect but now in requires some renovations. Good restaurants. But service in cafe is very slow.

This trip's hotel offered incredible value for money, and I was really impressed. The front desk staff were super friendly and always willing to help with little things, like changing money. If there was a vacant room, they were happy to upgrade us. The room itself was a little dated, but the quality was absolutely top-notch.
The infinity pool surrounded by jungle, the rainforest walking trails, and the spa were all absolutely amazing. Breakfast was excellent too, and they even had artisans performing. If you've splurged 7000 on hotels like the Four Seasons Sayan, you should definitely spend a couple of hundred here to experience the difference. I'd say the difference is maybe 40%, certainly not a 4-5 times difference.

The room was fantastic and the hotel environment was superb, truly feeling like we were in a forest. The hotel staff's service attitude was amazing, and the chef who prepared our teppanyaki was incredibly interactive and provided excellent emotional value – a perfect score! Our room butler, Aris, along with Ricky and Rani, took great care of us throughout our stay. The spa, located by the river in the forest, offered a wonderful experience.

Got upgraded to a private villa upon check-in. The environment was elegant and comfortable, the staff were warm and friendly, and the hotel facilities were comprehensive. Breakfast was plentiful. I would have given it a 5+ if the room door lock hadn't been broken and the Wi-Fi signal wasn't unstable.

Best croissant I've had outside France. Coffee is great too! I didn't try the deserts but they looked stunning. Small parking area for car or bike too which was handy. We found this place by accident seeking shelter from a downpour and I'm so glad we did. Very cute!
