There was a mismatch of expectation from reality after reading the reviews by others giving it 4-5* rating.

When we first enter the hotel, it was stuffy, we couldn’t feel any aircon. When we walked through the corridors leading to our room, there was no aircon for majority of 7 nights we stay here, be it night or day.

The toilets were extremely damp and has a funny smell. The bidet pressure couldn’t be adjusted. The shampoo was too dry that my hair turns like haystack. The shower was leaking to under the sink.

The hotel needs massive repair and uplift. Wallpapers coming out all over the corridor and rooms. Toilets holder for the bidets and shower head were falling apart. Aircon switch for one of the rooms were scotch taped to the wall. Pillows from both rooms were very smelly and musky, probably there were fungus inside the pillows. There was a power trip in one of the rooms. In the restaurant, one of the cabinets near the buffet line had broken door.

Service was prompt for instance, they changed the pillows promptly after we requested, they provided additional soap when we ran out and asked for it, they came to deal with power trip in one of the rooms. Whatsapp was responsive.

The TV only has local channels.

The hotel provides 2 small water bottles a day and 1 teabag.

There was an animal sanctuary with chickens and birds being kept near the reception counter, which was interesting.

The breakfast changes dishes everyday, but there’s always a type of rice, pasta, noodle, soup, vegetables, meat and dessert. Fixed stations are porridge, indomie, egg. There were cooked dishes and not all are fried food which is great. There were also some snacks like popcorn, local snacks. Some of the food was warm and some were cold. There were many flies and they land on the food which are not covered such as desserts.

I won’t recommend this place if you want a 4 star hotel. It feels more like a fuss free place to stay if you’re just coming back here to sleep.

I have never in all my travel experience been expected to pay for extra towels! I use 1 bath towel twice, but always have an extra one to wash hands and mouth after brushing teeth and using the toilet. So talked to the front desk and they said it’s 50,000 rupiah. Again, not wanting to keep the towel, just an extra one for the time I was there. But insistent on the 50,000, and not refundable either. The room came with 2, had a roommate so hence the 1 towel available for me and wanting the extra one. Also, they wanted to charge 50,000 rupiah for an extra room key as well. I was part of a tour group, so had a roommate. The issue with the one key is you needed that to get up to your floor. So if the roommate was in the room, I had no way of getting up there. So I explained this to the person, and after I said this, it took him a minute, but realized what I was saying and how much sense it made to just issue the key. Again, tour group, 2 people, should be 2 keys not one! They are a hotel, but have not really thought there policy thru. Would not stay here nor rec one it. You’re in the hospitality industry… Stop trying to gouge the customer, but make there stay more enjoyable.
